Chapter 738 Michael’s strength
Michael, Guillermo, and Fudge were surrounded by at least twenty different Vampires on all sides. They might not be physically strong compared to the others of their race, but their numbers would definitely be enough to overwhelm even a small army.
Not only that, but there were about six robed figures altogether, each one having a strength above the third stage, but below that of the fifth stage.
All in all, it seemed that Michael and his group were destined for failure.
At least, that’s what the robed figures thought.
Michael remained calm. Others would think that he was frozen in fear, but in truth, he was currently in a heated debate with Harbinger. [Perfect, perfect, perfect! GodForge pieces ready to be devoured.]
Harbinger didn’t think of these robed figures as threats, but merely as treasure chests waiting to be unraveled.
Even though Michael needed about three times as much GodForge pieces as a normal Maugnetic, if he were to harvest every single God Forge from these robed figures, then it would be enough to get him over to the 6th stage of Body Formation.
However, Michael was still wondering if it was ethical for him to do so. Stripping away someone’s God Forge pieces was too severe of a punishment, and he was still on the fence whether these robed figures deserved such a treatment.
[Come on, Michael. They’re manipulating these Vampires to do heinous things for them in the name of Gaia. That’s enough of a crime.]
Michael stayed silent. Enough for them to go to jail, yes. But taking their GodForge is tantamount to killing them. I don’t think they’re-
But before he could even finish his thought, the robed figures suddenly pointed at him and issued their command.
“Kill these frauds!”
Michael sighed. “Now, why did you have to go and say that? Now I have to get your pieces.”
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. If he didn’t defend himself now, then they would kill him.
So, it was only natural for him to dish out the same punishment in return.
All twenty Vampires bit their own fingers, letting blood flow to their hands and solidify into a weapon. They raised it in the air and shouted, “For Gaia!”
They charged towards Michael, weapons in hand, ready to skewer him from all sides.
“That’s why you should have stayed in your lane, boy!” shouted one of the robed figures as he lunged at Michael with his knife.
More than twenty weapons were just mere moments away from piercing through Michael before he finally moved.
He reached down into his pockets and took out a handful of switches.
As soon as he opened his hand, twenty different switches shot out from his palms and hit every single Vampire coming towards him.
The iron blocks attached themselves to the Vampires’ chests, stopping their momentum and leaving them completely frozen in time.
The robed figures recoiled in shock.
“WHAT?!”
They looked up and saw Michael’s Diva, with its arms and upper chest fully formed.
The fact that his Diva was only about halfway complete meant that he could have only been in the middle stages of Body Formation. Yet, the power he showed at this moment seemed to have surpassed that.
More than twenty Vampires were completely frozen in time, controlled by Michael’s Aubility.
Twenty.
For his Aubility to overpower Vampires to this state, even controlling their own bodies, should have only been possible if he was in the
upper stages of Body Formation!
“IMPOSSIBLE!” shouted one of the robed figures as he lunged at
Michael with his knife.
The mutated goat Diva above the robed figure’s head reared its horns,
empowering the strike with a 5th stage Aubility Power.
The knife continued onwards, its momentum and force made
completely unstoppable by normal means.
Yet Michael simply flicked a graphite block towards him.
As soon as the block clamped on the robed figure’s chest, he suddenly started reversing back, undoing his own movements, rendering him back to before he even wielded his weapon!
Now completely unguarded, Michael flicked the switch in his hands and activated his Unity Saber.
He slashed forward, burning through the robed figure’s chest.
With one fluid motion, Michael defeated one of the robed figures.
The five others watching this from afar could only stand there in complete shock and disbelief.
A 5th stage Maugnetic shouldn’t be this easy to defeat!
The fact that the boy didn’t even seem fazed with this victory made
them realize that they were dealing with someone they had no
business angering!
Once he defeated one, Michael looked up and searched for his next
victim.
The robed figures’ blood ran cold at the sight.
“He’s just a kid! Kill him!”
“What are you guys doing! Don’t just stand there!”
“You’re all useless!”
The robed figures argued with each other. No one wanted to be the
first one to fight Michael.
They all feared the ‘boy!
“Tsk. He’s just one! We can kill him if we work together!”
The robed figures knew that the only way they could kill Michael was
if they worked together.
They immediately manifested their Divas and empowered their weapons with Aubility Power before spreading apart and positioning themselves to surround Michael.
But Michael didn’t seem at all worried.
He simply took out more switches from his pockets, readying it for his
attack.
One of the robed figures lunged at him.
Michael then threw a switch towards his chest, freezing him in place.
The robed figure’s momentum stopped, but his strength as a 4th stage Maugnetic allowed him to resist against Michael’s power. But before he could break out from the switch, Michael raised his hand and fired a [Unity Gun] towards the guy’s chest.
Another robed figure fell.
And before more robed figures could scream in shock, an invisible Drone suddenly fired off another shot of [Unity Gun] and hit another
robed figure in the stomach.
Three down, three more left.
Just then, the Vampires finally broke free from Michael’s switches. But
before they could recover, Michael threw another volley of switches in their direction, freezing them in place once again. The three robed figures, thinking that it was their chance to hit
Michael while he was busy, charged at him with their knives.
But just before their weapons got anywhere near him, Michael’s [Absolute Unity Defense] kicked in as a prismatic shield appeared around him, resisting against the robed figures’ attacks.
“HOW?!”
“A spell shouldn’t resist against Aubility attacks!”
But of course, there was one magic that could fight off against
Aubilities. And that was Unity.
Before they could even understand what happened, Michael swung his Unity Saber, hitting two of the robed figures simultaneously.
The two screamed in pain before falling down, defeated.
Now, there was just one of them left.
The robed figure fell on the floor and crawled backwards as he stared
up at Michael.
He couldn’t believe that he was facing against a monster like this. “STAY AWAY FROM ME!”
Michael kept walking towards him, ready to deal the finishing blow,
when all of a sudden, he suddenly felt a new presence behind him. He turned around, only to see a woman standing in the darkness. “Oh? You were able to sense me?” she said.
