Reincarnated as an Energy with a System - Chapter 1782 1782: Confused

Shara’s entire body froze the moment she was touched and she was unable to move. Through the side of her eyes, she could see something move toward her.
At the last moment, she used her power, turning intangible.
The thing passed through her, the person carrying it stumbling forward as they hadn’t expected to have their attacks not land at all.
Oleander caught himself before falling and turned around, swinging his red mace at Shara once again, only to have his mace pass through her as if she wasn’t there at all.
He stepped back, confused.
Shara was confused as well. How had she been frozen? It had been done with a touch, but how had the power worked on her? She was a Reaper. No power should work on a Reaper.
‘What about other Reapers?’ Shara thought. This was the first time she had even seen another Reaper use their power, let alone fight them. She didn’t know how Reapers’ powers worked on other Reapers.
Could it not be automatically blocked like all the other powers?
‘How long will I be frozen?’ Shara thought. She took a deep breath. She didn’t want to be frozen.
As if listening to her intentions, her body acted on its own, releasing her from the power. However, it ended up using a tiny fraction of her energy to do so.
What happened automatically for all other powers now had a cost because it was being used against a Reaper.
‘What else do I not know?’ Shara thought.
She had fully assumed that she would only be using her spear since other powers didn’t work on anyone else. But now, it turned out that the battle wasn’t going to be as straightforward as she had thought it would be.
Oleander swung down his mace again, but this time he targeted the ground before her. Shara didn’t know what he was doing, but she wasn’t going to wait around and find out.
She stepped back immediately, getting away from the man.
As she did, she saw the floor where the mace landed suddenly glow red. Then, it exploded.
A massive boom shook the ground, sending shockwaves all around. It wasn’t just the shockwave but also pellets of destroyed ground that shot through the air. It wasn’t fast enough to pierce through the skin, but it could wound a person.
Shara, thankfully, suffered through none of it. Every spray of rock and dirt passed through her in her intangible form.
Understanding that she couldn’t continue to just be on the defensive, she needed to hide first before she did anything else. Her body seemed to vanish all of a sudden from everyone’s eyes, as if she had somehow turned invisible.
Only a few people on the outside knew that she had used Ning’s concealment talisman to hide herself from everyone else’s perception. She was still there, perfectly clear, but no one’s eyes lingered on her long enough to find her.
When they did search for her, they would get a glimpse or two, but for the most part, she would be invisible to their eyes.
Oleander took a step back, not wanting to engage with her so quickly when he didn’t know much about her powers. He had wanted to take her out the moment he had the opportunity, but the element of surprise was gone, so all he could do now was to take a step back and reconsider his options.
He turned around, checking for the other fighters. Jema stood at a distance away from the prince who kept an eye on everyone at the same time.
Jema turned toward Oleander and gave a slight nod. Instantly, she swung her whip at the prince even though she was paced away.
The whip lengthened immediately, crossing the entire distance as it arrived before the prince’s face. The prince casually moved to the side, dodging the whip’s attack.
The whip shrunk back toward Jema and at the same time, Oleander appeared next to the prince, his mace already swinging at his head.
Once again, with no fear at all, the prince simply stepped back, letting the mace pass mere hair’s length away from him. At the same time, he swung his sword. While Oleander was far enough that his sword wouldn’t reach, he could still use its power.
A massive splash of water hit Oleander, knocking him back onto the ground. The water seeped into the ground, while Oleander quickly got back up. By that time, the prince had moved far enough away.
“I should have expected,” the prince said, looking at the two of them. “You two really think I am the danger here.”
“Are you saying you’re not?” Jema asked. “You are so clearly stronger than us. Were you hoping to take us out one after another?”
The prince chuckled. “I was hoping you would take each other out,” he said. “But it seems that is not the case.”
He took a step back at the same time, and ducked as Oleander teleported next to him and swung his mace again. He couldn’t even retaliate at the same time as the whip came for him again, forcing him to dodge again.
The prince moved back further. “I can’t believe you two really think you can kill me so easily,” he said. “What happens once you kill me? Who among you will kill the other one first?”
“Neither,” Oleander said. “Because we are going to rule this continent together.”
The prince narrowed his eyes. “Unless you forgot, only the last survivor of this battle will be the Emperor. Even if you two stay till the end, one of you will betray the other.”
“You would think so,” Jema said. “But we never agreed to this at all. I agreed to fight to the death with no outside assistance, but Oleander and I were already in an alliance. His assistance isn’t from the outside.”
Oleander grinned. “And I agreed that whoever survives in the end, man or woman, will become the Emperor. I never said it had to be a single person.”
The prince looked at the two. “I see. I’m on my own then.”
