Reincarnated as an Energy with a System - Chapter 1784: Jema’s Powers

Chapter 1784: Jema’s Powers
Shara made sure to consciously keep in mind what Jema could do.
She could heal from even as grievous an injury as being stabbed through the back. She could use her whip that could extend a long distance. And now, she had a black eye with a red pupil to it.
However, it didn’t take long for another power to show itself.
Another Jema appeared next to herself. The new one wore the exact same clothes as the old Jema, carrying the same whip as well, with the same eyes on her forehead.
Shara thought she was seeing double for a second, but then a second one emerged to her other side. The same exact deal.
Then another, and another.
All until there were five Jemas on the battlefield.
Each one a facsimile of the other, with the main Jema at the center of the other four. Or was that even the main one at all? Who was to say she hadn’t moved places with one of the other four?
Shara held her spear tighter, preparing for the battle. When the flurry of whips came about from all five Jemas at once, she had already used her power and made her way toward the five.
With each step she took, Jema managed to precisely target her. If not for her powers, Shara’s body would have been split open from all the whip strikes. The precision and accuracy were to be scared of, but just the fact that Jema knew where she stood was also scary.
’How can she see me?’
Was that a power related to Reapers? The prince had looked in her direction earlier too.
But Shara didn’t think it was. Jema was clearly using her black eye. It was no normal eye and could probably see things that the necklace couldn’t hide.
She couldn’t yet explain how the prince did what he did, but Oleander had clearly not known where she was, which was why he had chosen to go attack the prince.
Shara arrived next to the first clone and waited for the right opportunity to turn off her powers. Then, she stabbed it.
The spear went through Jema’s chest and out the back, but there was no feedback to the attack at all. No flesh that she had stabbed.
Shara instantly used her powers again and let the whips pass through her. She fell back a few steps, trying to find the right moment to strike again and waited until it was her turn.
Finding a moment to attack within this flurry was a near impossibility. Not all of these whips were real, but any of these whips could be real, and that was the main issue she faced.
Shara didn’t know how to go about it except go through each and every single one of the clones of Jema, one after another.
Getting through them all was all she could do.
* * * * *
Trenaut, the prince, glanced toward Shara and Jema from time to time, seeing the situation unfold.
The prince knew about the healing bracelet Jema wore around her hand with the large red crystal, but he hadn’t been aware of either the eye on her forehead or her power to split herself into multiple parts.
’How did she hide her eye? Makeup?’ he wondered. Through the usage of the bracelet artifact he wore, he too got a different sight as well, allowing him to see certain things.
His eyes fell on Shara. Even though he couldn’t see her physical body, a soft white glow appeared around her that was unmistakable.
Similarly, a white glow appeared around Jema too, but only around one of her five bodies. Only one of her bodies was the true body, and should one defeat that, Jema would be defeated.
But the aura randomly switched around between the five bodies, letting the prince learn that Jema could switch around which one her real body was at will.
’That girl won’t be able to finish that job in time,’ the prince thought.
Out of the corner of his vision, he saw the aura around Oleander burn brightly for a second.
He was teleporting again.
What to the others happened in a flash, took nearly four seconds to happen for the prince. Thanks to his helm, the prince had a very sped-up perception, allowing him to notice things and react to them far better than any other human being.
His physical abilities did not change at all, but after having worn this helmet for so many years, he had more or less gotten used to letting his body fall into action through it.
The prince immediately grounded both his feet on the ground and stepped away from where Oleander teleported to. The necklace the man wore was far more annoying than any other power the prince had come across.
The constant teleportation meant that the prince could not retaliate as well as he wanted to. His sword was not only capable of producing a vast quantity of liquid with every slash, but it was also unbelievably sharp.
He just needed one good swing to his neck to deal with Oleander. But with his plate armor and exploding mace, the prince couldn’t get close enough to do what needed to be done.
He thought of using his trump card right away, but he wanted to keep it hidden for a bit longer. He didn’t need his power just yet.
The prince looked toward Jema and Shara once again and could just see how much weaker Shara’s energy was compared to all of them. She hadn’t collected nearly as many souls as they had over their life.
They had a vast quantity of energy to work with, while Shara would soon fail. If she failed, she couldn’t continue dodging and would die.
At that point, the prince would certainly be alone once again with two hounds trying to kill him from another side.
The prince looked at Oleander and then toward Shara.
“Girl!” he shouted. “We can’t survive like this. We need to switch.”
