Reincarnated as an Energy with a System - Chapter 1785: Switch

Chapter 1785: Switch
Shara breathed sharply as she lunged her spear at another Jema. This spear went through Jema’s body as though they were made of light as well.
’Another fake.’
That annoyed Shara. Every time she went to attack Jema, any of the Jema, they turned out to be fake. And yet there had to be a real one among them. She could hear the sharp crack of the whip, the slapping of the ground.
One of those whips was real. One of those Jema was real.
’But which one?’ Shara thought. She had attacked each one by now, she was certain of it. And each one was a fake.
’How is she not among these 5?’ Shara questioned. ’Could she really be hiding somewhere else?’
“Girl! We can’t survive like this. We need to switch.”
The prince’s voice came loud and clear.
’Switch?’ Shara thought, questioning what he meant. She looked at Jema who constantly attacked her, perhaps to overwhelm her with the attacks so that she could never stop using her powers. Jema probably wanted to exhaust her energy.
She would be right to do so.
Compared to the rest, Shara definitely didn’t have a whole lot of power. If this continued, it wouldn’t take very long before she ran out of her power. In which case she would most certainly die.
’I need to keep up how much power I have,’ Shara thought.
She saw the prince rushing toward her, and she only then realized what he meant by switching.
He wanted to switch opponents.
Jema was a bad match for her. Her concealment had no effect thanks to her black eye, and the constant barrage of whips forced her to keep her powers up. Not to mention, she could not target the right Jema at all.
The prince arrived next to one of the Jema and swung his sword. At the last moment, however, he changed the angle of his swing and swung his sword toward the Jema on the far right.
A jet of water slashed through the air and landed on the Jema. Unlike every time Shara had fought her, this attack did not go through Jema.
The prince had fought the correct body.
“Oleander!” Jema shouted suddenly through one of the other 4 clones, who seemed to be heaving more than the other ones.
Oleander appeared next to the prince out of nowhere, mace already swinging downward. Not at the prince, but rather the ground.
BOOM
Dirt and rock exploded upward, the force of the expulsion battering the prince who had barely managed to dodge as far as he could. He was still hurt by some of it, but the pain wasn’t so big that he had to complain about being hit.
Shara stood untouched. Even dust failed to gather on her body as she was in a constant state of being untouchable.
However, now, that had to change. She couldn’t use this power constantly after all. Once the debris passed through, she stopped using her power.
Before she had a chance for anything, Oleander lunged toward the prince again, swinging his mace at the prince’s helmet.
A burst of water from the prince’s sword tossed Oleander back.
“Are you just going to stand there and wait while we both die one after another?” the prince asked, his eyes looking directly toward her. “Don’t you want to win?”
Oddly enough, she did. She wanted to win, not just for her but for the others. For all the crap she had to go through as a child, and for all the pain and torture that had been brought upon her.
However, there was one thing she wanted right now more than anything else in the world. She wanted to kill the prince.
The part of her mind that wanted revenge, and the part of her mind that wanted to keep the prince safe until the last moment began fighting against each other.
One part hated the man and the other part simply delayed the coming of the inevitable.
The prince was going to die anyway, so what good would it do him to be alive for maybe 10 minutes more. If he had uses, she would use him as well as she could.
From the brief glances she had managed to see of the prince’s fight against Jema, it was clear the prince knew what he was doing. He constantly dodged every whip attack, except for certain ones which he didn’t even have to dodge.
Those attacks simply passed through him without doing anything.
Jema had met her natural enemy in this match.
Shara turned toward Oleander and lunged for him with her spear. This was her target so that the prince didn’t somehow manage to form an alliance with Oleander in the future when Jema was gone.
While Ning’s spear was long, it wasn’t long enough for her to reach the man. When her spear finally landed, it landed on Oleander’s plate armor. She had targeted the joint and still it was armor.
Oleander immediately swung to the side on instinct alone. He breathed heavily, knowing how close he had been to dying.
’That damn girl!’ he cursed. He had seen how easily she had turned untouchable. She had quite a bit of real-life experience from the looks of it.
He swung madly all around, hoping to hit Shara with one of these attacks, but he failed to do so with any of the attacks.
Shara sighed in relief as she realized that the man had left her to join Jema in her fight against the prince, going 2 against 1.
Shara could already see the future. The prince was overwhelmed after fighting two against one, and died. His death led the two to join their forces against her, through which she would then die as well.
The prince’s idea to switch was correct, but Oleander still couldn’t see her. The power the other two used was definitely not what Reapers had.
Shara lowered the power of her talisman and charged for Oleander once again.
This time, he could not ignore her.
