Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 1106 - 1106: 30 Seconds [Monthly Bonus 3]

While Arthur and Vonun were duking it out, Evan was stashing the Akashic Page back into his inventory.
He inspected the wires he’d used to connect to the Arcanum Eclipsor, damaged when Triffid attacked him, while Charisse stared at the massive hole Arthur had left in Triffid.
‘Now is the perfect moment. Sir Arthur’s move has left Triffid at its weakest…and it knows that too.”
As if to confirm her thoughts, a massive flower stalk erupted from the top of the giant tree, its bud aimed directly at the ground.
Danger Sense blared alarms in Evan’s head, and he instantly summoned the Gazebind Aegis at the same moment the bud bloomed into a flower and fired a beam of pure creation energy straight at him.
The beam tore through the air at hypersonic speed, reaching him in less than a second, piercing clean through his Stout Guardian and slamming into the Gazebind Aegis with such overwhelming force that it pushed him backwards.
‘Damn it… this thing’s making Stout Guardian feel useless.’
The Elder Spirit beside Charisse had been about to use his magic power to shield Evan, but Charisse grabbed his arm and said, “Get Caeril.”
He froze, momentarily confused, uncertain why they wouldn’t focus on helping Evan, especially since Triffid clearly understood that, with Arthur locked in battle with Vonun, Evan was the only one capable of truly destroying it and was now targeting him deliberately.
But Charisse simply repeated her command, and without another word, the Elder turned and shot up into the air, scanning the mess of the battlefield in search of Caeril.
The moment he was gone, Charisse dropped to one knee, planted both hands on the ground, drew in a deep breath, and spoke.
“Awaken, Will of Taemia.”
As she transmitted her intent, the planet shook, and magic power began to course through all its energy veins like a rushing river, illuminating them until faint glowing lines became visible across the ground.
The energy streamed through the earth, converging at the energy hotspot that just so happened to be directly beneath her.
That gathered energy poured into her body, and her eyes lit up.
Correction: her eye sockets lit up.
Her eyeballs were no longer visible. Only light filled the space where they were supposed to be.
At that moment, as Caeril and the other Elder Spirits rushed over, they could instantly tell.
‘That’s not the Prophetess!’
‘Something’ had taken over her body.
That ‘Something’ scanned all of Charisse’s memories, instantly understood the situation, then turned towards Evan and extended a hand.

However, things didn’t proceed as smoothly as expected.

‘!—He was a Leader Hero?!’
‘Taemia’ frowned at this.
Aidos’ Prime World Authority had resisted Taemia’s, despite Taemia being an Apex World. But the fact that ‘Taemia’ had to be ‘awakened’ in the first place was already proof that something was wrong with it.

Successful
At that moment, Evan, who had just successfully blocked Triffid’s creation energy beam, saw several lines of text appear in his field of vision.

“!!”
Magic power from the hotspot beneath his feet surged upward, flooding into Evan’s body, forcing his eyes wide as he cursed aloud in disbelief.
“This fucking planet! You trying to kill me!?”
The only response he got was Triffid firing off another beam of Creation law energy, ironically fuelled by the same hotspot as Evan, since, scorched as it was, they were still standing within ‘Triffid’s Forest’, its domain.
Fortunately, Evan didn’t have to deal with this one. Caeril descended from above, his spear slicing cleanly through the beam with a single swing.
The Transcendent then pulled his arm back, channelling magic power into the spear before hurling it straight at the massive flower bud, piercing through Triffid’s energy shields and blowing a hole straight through it.
Then, glancing back at Evan behind him, he shouted.
“Go!”
“Don’t yell, it’s distracting!”
Evan snapped back immediately, his eyes glowing as he unconsciously unleashed a burst of soul power, his Deity Soul reacting to the overwhelming influx of power ‘Taemia’ was pouring into his body, causing Caeril to flinch momentarily.
Evan, however, quickly averted his gaze and kicked off the ground, dashing forward as he resumed his attempts to control the new skill he’d been temporarily granted but had lost focus on due to Caeril’s shout.
Time Difference activated as he moved, unleashing wild bursts of magic power to prevent himself from overloading, all while he rapidly scanned through the skill’s details.
‘Apply Restriction.’
[Dictate Restriction]
Evan’s mind raced, cycling through numerous potential restrictions before quickly settling on one that was admittedly risky.
00:25
‘Seal Mesarthim: ALL—Techniques 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for 365 days.’
[Dictate Benefit]
‘Grant one-time use of Mesarthim: ALL—Technique 7 at 15% of maximum power.’
[…Calculating]
Triffid’s branches lashed out like tentacles, grabbing anything they could reach and hurling them at Evan, ranging from random rocks to actual Archdevils flying through the sky.

[…Recalculating]
Evan cut down the incoming rocks with his sword, entering his half-dragon mode as his wings unfurled. He leapt over the incoming Archdevils, leaving them to the Elder Spirits behind him as he continued charging forward.

[Accepted.]
[Geass Inscribed.]
The power of the law of restriction surged into Evan’s body, and chains coiled around his heart, linking to his soul and binding a portion of the Prismatic Unique Origin Core within it.
Wooden tendrils slashed toward him again, but Evan avoided them with Blink, reappearing several hundred metres to the left, flames bursting beneath his feet as he launched himself like a rocket.
At that moment, something unexpected occurred.
Beatrix suddenly appeared beside him through teleportation, and Evan’s eyes widened, his pupils instinctively darting to the right.
Noticing his reaction in slow motion, Beatrix grabbed his right arm, the one wielding the Unforged, and just as Evan began pouring the enormous magic power granted to him by ‘Taemia’ into the blade, she murmured something and cast a spell on his arm.
Immediately afterwards, Evan launched off the ground, shooting into the sky at sonic speed and accelerating rapidly.
Even though there hadn’t been enough time for him to hear any words, Beatrix’s voice somehow echoed clearly in his mind.
‘Delay Magic: Temporal Rewind. Delay: 21 seconds.’
Simultaneously, the Planetary Defence Matrix displayed the countdown.
00:20
Evan’s body shot through the air, weaving around to avoid Triffid’s massive branches that whipped through the sky, trying to swat him down like a fly.
He evaded one from above, three from the right, and five more from below, then blinked away just in time to dodge the three incoming simultaneously from both left and right sides. Upon reappearing, he raised the Gazebind Aegis to intercept the beam of energy that the tree unleashed.
00:15
He beat his wings and rocket-boosted himself upward once more, cleaving through another wooden branch as thick as his body, and summoned a wave of ice that blasted downward to intercept the next dozen tendrils launching from below.
Triffid spawned another enormous flower stalk in an attempt to fire another creation beam, but a spear shot past Evan at hypersonic speed, impaling the stalk and obliterating it instantly.
Fruits began to sprout along Triffid’s branches, and as they swayed, the fruits launched outward with tremendous force, detonating mid-air like high-powered aerial mines.
Its leaves shot at Evan like bullets, forcing him to deflect them while simultaneously contending with the exploding fruits.
However, after the first three blasts, multiple barriers formed around the remaining fruits, containing the following wave of explosions and preventing them from throwing Evan off balance.
00:10
Evan rocket-boosted himself once more, the Unforged igniting with destruction law energy and Prismatic Flames of overwhelming intensity, blazing so brightly they could light up the night like a miniature sun.
00:09
‘Mesarthim: Orange: Self-Immolation! BoD: Second Activation!’
His entire body burst into flame, becoming a half-elementalized humanoid torch, and a wave of destructive energy erupted outward from him in all directions.
00:08
Triffid abandoned its attacks, pouring all its creation law energy and every ounce of magic power it could gather in that instant into conjuring three massive off-white translucent circular shields, each expanding to over a kilometre wide in an instant.
00:07
‘Stellar Impact! Supernova Burst!! Stellar Ignition!!!’
Evan instantly activated three techniques tied to Mesarthim’s Orange, burning through half the magic power he’d been granted in a single burst as his left fist slammed into the shield.
00:06
His fist struck the first shield with a thunderous impact, the force concentrating into his knuckles and hammering against the enormous barrier with meteoric impact, shattering it in a single blow.
00:05
A narrow jet of flame burst from behind Evan’s elbow, forcibly maintaining his momentum as his fist slammed into the second shield, cracks branching across its surface before it shattered in a burst of white light.
Simultaneously, a harsh screech rang out through the air as Triffid funnelled even more energy into reinforcing the final barrier.
00:04
The flame jet ignited with triple the force, amplifying the momentum behind Evan’s strike even as his joint groaned under pressure. His fist collided with the last shield, knuckle bones cracking as the intensified orange flames burst past their limit and consumed his skin, yet didn’t halt the torrent that drove his arm forward to break through the final barrier.
00:03
With so much force driving his left hand, Evan’s body was twisted into a position that made it nigh-impossible to swing his sword with his right. So he reached across with his left, grabbed his upper arm, and pulled with all his strength, effectively using his left arm to force the swing of his right.
‘Mesarthim: Technique Number 7.’
00:02
His sword cut through the air, the intense heat of the flames engulfing it, incinerating all of Triffid’s desperate branches as they tried to intercept him, right as the blade struck the tree’s bark just beneath the canopy.
¬LUNAR FLAME!¬
00:01
Every last drop of magic power Taemia had given him surged through his arm in that moment, with the orange flames on his body joining in a burst of brilliant light.
For a single second, the world bore witness to a massive crescent moon formed of prismatic fire.
And then, the moon exploded.
