Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 1182 - 1182: Transcendent Shockwave

There was so much happening in just a few minutes that no one even knew how to react anymore.
They didn’t know where to start being shocked, they didn’t know where to start being surprised, they didn’t know where to start celebrating, and they didn’t know where to start despairing.
First, the dimensional rift they had been trying to prevent from opening had opened.
Then the higher-ups realised that the person who had been the cornerstone and mastermind behind the plan to protect Tarse from being reduced to a sea of flames and becoming an outpost for the demons of Gozon had apparently planned to let the dimensional rift open from the very beginning and had never intended to stop it.
Finally, from that dimensional rift emerged a Peak Rank demon who immediately made a declaration, their words affecting the laws of the world and terraforming the surrounding land into something reminiscent of Gozon, the first step in creating a Battlefront World Outpost.
Then, while everyone was frozen under the pressure radiating from the Peak Rank demon, someone casually fired a fireball, the most basic fire spell, directly at the demon, interrupting their declaration, halting the terraformation, and doing it all with complete casualness, before stating he wasn’t the one who was going to handle the Peak Rank demon and calling out a name everyone on the battlefield knew: Beast King Kolvar.
And then Kolvar truly appeared out of nowhere, delivering an uppercut to the Peak Rank demon that left everyone completely frozen in shock this time.
The Demonic Hand Senior Members and Executives were especially shocked, having confirmed that both Kolvar and Rathal, the Transcendents from the Alpha Continent, weren’t supposed to be on the surface of the planet at all!
They were meant to be in an underground dungeon in the northern half of the continent, a dungeon that the Second Division Senior Member Ciarrucrorth was fighting had rigged to block the energy waves released from the Dimension Gate so they wouldn’t notice it.
But here was Kolvar, punching Kriemler with so much force that the Greater Demon’s teeth flew out.
And somehow, the immense shockwaves and destruction that should have followed the full-power punch of a Transcendent-level existence didn’t extend beyond a certain radius around Kolvar, contained by a dome barrier—the same dome barrier many remembered appearing earlier when Rizass had attacked Deram.
That dome barrier had manifested again, keeping even the shockwaves that should have torn across the earth and knocked everyone down from passing its boundary.
They could all feel the immense magical power piercing into the sky. They could all feel the powerful shockwaves hitting the dome hard enough to crack it. They could feel the gusts of wind generated by those shockwaves.
And those close enough could clearly see the demon’s head being whipped upward, his jaw breaking as blood and teeth spilt from his mouth.
Everything felt like a movie, every moment unfolding in slow motion before everyone’s eyes.
In that moment, as everyone tried to process what had just happened, Evan summoned the Akashic Page, infusing magic power into the grimoire.
‘World Magic: Spell Number 25: World Isolation Barrier!’
The nodes he’d placed around the Wild Lands began responding as a 10-metre-wide magic circle radiated outward from his position, a giant replica of it materialising high in the sky.
The attention of almost every Level 700 and above was instantly drawn by the magic power the circle released, turning up in time to see streaks of light shooting from Evan’s grimoire past the clouds.
A semi-transparent wave of space-warping energy spread outwards from the giant circle hovering in the air, stretching to the edges of the circular region defined by the nodes stolen from the Demonic Hand after the Lacertilia incident.
This wave, made from a mix of various energy types, blanketed the sky, taking on the form of a massive dome that encompassed the Wild Lands, spanning over a million square kilometres in area.
Evan flapped his wings to prevent himself from staggering in the air from the massive energy cost of the barrier’s strength and special conditions, taking a deep breath before infusing his tongue with magic power and shouting into a megaphone he pulled from his inventory.
[The Beast King will handle the Peak Rank demon!]
The Hero’s loud voice echoed in the ears of everyone close enough to be affected by the battle about to unfold.
[Tarse Defence Force! Fall back!! Retreat! You don’t want to get caught in a Transcendent-level battle, do you? Then get the fuck out of here!!]
His booming voice, amplified through several megaphones across the battlefield’s many command centres and tents, snapped most of the frozen combatants back to their senses.
The already chaotic battlefield descended into further disorder as an even more disorganised retreat began, with everyone—Tarse forces, Demonic Hand combatants, and demons—running in every direction.
No one wanted to be anywhere near Transcendents fighting.
Legends had already caused collateral damage on both sides. Sovereigns had forced anyone below level 500 to pull back from the main theatres of combat, but Transcendents? Even the Sovereigns were scrambling to get out of the way.
‘Well, it’s not like anyone with a ‘Demonic Factor’ would get far thanks to the World Isolation Barrier.’
The thought of the condition trapping all those with ‘Demonic Factors’ within the Barrier crossed Evan’s mind as he released his Elemental Shield skill—the true nature of the ‘dome barrier’ that had contained impacts that should have wiped out at least half the Wild Lands—and immediately retracted his magic power.
Unfortunately, it was already too late, as the Biomechanical Abomination fighting Dandeyr had already entered Ruin Mode due to Kolvar’s appearance, and when he released magic power to create the shield, it locked onto him as the greatest threat and attacked.
A whirring sound echoed as a massive beam of supercharged lightning ripped through space at baseline hypersonic speed, heading directly for him.
Of course, Danger Sense had already done its work, so Evan wasn’t caught off guard and simply teleported out of the way, reappearing beside the Demon General Rizass was facing.
“!”
**BAAM!!
The demon barely had time to react before Evan appeared beside him and landed a clean right hook with his Six-Skill Strike Combo, the combined burst of skills detonating across the side of his face and leaving him disoriented.
Evan immediately used Everlasting Chains to bind the demon and spin his body around, positioning him just in time for the homing lightning beam fired by the Biomechanical Abomination to curve and crash into him.
**BOOOM!!!
The massive supercharged lightning beam struck the dazed demon with full force, tearing open half his torso, burning through muscle and bone, while the residual current flayed his skin and left his insides exposed.
Evan summoned the Unforged in the same instant and plunged the blade straight through the demon’s heart, killing him instantly, before activating Lethe and using his Space Warp skill to teleport, reappearing behind the Demonic-Fused Second Division Senior Member that Ciarrucrorth was battling high above the clouds.
While invisible, he spun, prismatic flames igniting along his sword as he swung it wide.
‘Hell Unleashed!’
“!”
The Demonic Hand member sensed the destruction law energy gathering around Evan’s blade at the last moment, but with Ciarrucrorth’s darkness spears closing in from the front, they had no time to turn or react.
Evan’s slash struck their back with full force, the flames searing their skin and muscle while his sword cut deep into their bone, slicing through their vertebrae.
Evan then clamped a hand over their head faster than the blast could hurl them away, unleashing a full-powered Energy Blast that blew their brains out.
As the corpse plummeted toward the ground, Evan turned to Ciarrucrorth, who was staring at him in shock, and spoke.
“You saw nothing.”
With those words, he clenched his fist and activated Everlasting Chains on the ground, hundreds of crimson-gold chains erupting from the earth and wrapping around the BMA as it dragged its body across the ground toward the centre of the battlefield, where Kolvar and Kriemler were.
Despite taking a clean, full-powered uppercut from Kolvar, Kriemler was far from dead.
In video game terms, the Peak Rank Demon still had an insane amount of HP left, which made sense, since there was no way an attack from an Inferior Transcendent could one-shot a Superior Transcendent.
Kriemler Ilmoth was NOT the Peak Rank who had appeared from the Dimensional Rift in Aidos Online. Instead, it was a Demon of the Valren Zeroth Family, a relative of Vaeri’s who volunteered to go first because they were searching for her.
Kriemler was a name Evan recognised from when the Demon King finally descended on Aidos, but that was about all he knew.
In fact, Evan had learned more about Kriemler with Full Appraisal just now than he had discovered in Aidos Online.
He relayed this information to Kolvar so the beastman would understand Kreimler’s abilities, which fortunately weren’t a bad match for him.
Kolvar Thancreed, a Level 933, whose strength lay primarily in his comprehensions of the elemental law of Earth and the law of Force, which governed raw kinetic power, impact, and overwhelming physical force.
He also possessed secondary attributes of Wind and Fire, alongside high vitality and defensive capability derived from the law of Fortification.
His opponent, Kriemler Ilmoth, was a Level 968 whose power was rooted in a Unique Skill that granted him Metal Manipulation abilities, from base control over metal, to structural manipulation, density control, and the generation of metallic constructs.
Tied to this was a magnetism ability derived from his comprehension of the laws of Electromagnetism and Inertia, giving him both strong offensive and defensive capabilities.
Normally, a battle between the two wouldn’t hinge on who played their cards right because of the significant raw power difference and the Level superiority that Kriemler possessed, but the current circumstances were far from favourable enough for the Peak Rank Demon to be able to unleash his full power.
Right after being sneak attacked with enough force to knock out a few of his teeth, Kriemler growled in rage and tried to pull his full body into Aidos, pushing on the edges of the rift to widen it so more of his body could come through.
However, Kolvar didn’t just stand there and watch him.
The Beast King attacked, throwing another punch that forced Kriemler to take one hand off the rift’s edges to counter, his fist coated in a metallic sheen as it collided with Kolvar’s rock-covered fist.
The impact of their clash sent a shockwave tearing through the battlefield, cracking and splintering the remaining rock beneath them. The heat from their colliding law energies melted the fractured earth, turning it into molten, bubbling terrain that hissed and steamed.
Kriemler’s fist won the clash, knocking Kolvar back several metres and eliciting a frown from the beastman. The demon used the opening to infuse his arms with demonic energy and push the rift wider, pulling his body up to his waist into Aidos.
Kolvar charged at him, but before they could clash again, Evan appeared beside Kriemler with a burst of spatial law energy, the wave sending Kriemler’s body skidding to the side.
“You…!”
Kriemler roared and swung a punch toward Evan, but the boy instantly activated BoD and calmly extended his right hand, his open palm holding a glowing golden gem that shattered, releasing the law energy within it as Kriemler’s fist hit Evan’s palm.
“Guh! Divinity!?”
The Greater Demon recoiled as the golden energy burned through his metallic skin and seared his flesh, but Evan reached out and grabbed his wrist, activating Adamantine Might to reinforce his grip while summoning the Akashic Page.
“You’d be a pain if you still have Ginaroad’s Authority supporting you,” Evan said, infusing magic power into the Akashic Page and casting a spell.
‘World Magic: Spell Number 11: Decimation of Blessings.’
A wave of energy erupted from his body and washed over Kriemler, purging him of all the buffs granted by his skills, and most importantly, the effects of Ginaroad’s ‘Demon King’ Authority, which had been allowing him not only to widen the rift with his bare hands but also to declare this region as the Demon King’s territory, like a Bounded Field—the declaration Evan had stopped him from making earlier.
Of course, Evan could do this because of the divinity contained in that gem Kriemler had shattered when he punched Evan, a gem holding a charge of Artemisia’s own Unique Authority, which was stronger than Ginaroad’s Race Ruler Authority.
