Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 1185 - 1185: Forgotten World Conqueror

“Ten Step Beast Core!”
He unleashed ten rapid punches, his fists moving so fast they left afterimages, each strike releasing massive shockwaves of compressed magic and law energy that expanded outward in layered bursts.
The shockwaves collided with Kriemler’s projectiles with deafening force, explosions tearing across the desert as the energy crushed metal shards, dispersed lightning, and shattered waves of fire.
The blasts spread in all directions, shearing the planet’s crust beneath and sending seismic waves rippling across hundreds of kilometres.
Rizass, Ciarrucorth, and Dergren in the distance were all knocked off their feet as the pressure hit them like a solid wall, massive gusts of wind carrying sand waves kilometres high.
Some of Kriemler’s metal projectiles and lightning bolts pierced through Kolvar’s shockwaves, one jagged shard piercing his side and another drilling into his shoulder, shredding muscle and leaving a deep, smoking wound.
Still, most of the force from Kolvar’s shockwaves reached Kriemler, smashing through his defensive metallic skin.
Kriemler’s body was thrown backwards, his back arching over the tear of space he was trapped in, a spike of agony shooting up his spine as it bent unnaturally for a moment, leaving him gasping.
He hadn’t even recovered from that when Dergren’s massive body came flying from behind, smashing into his back with enough force to spin him a full 180 in the air. If there had been any semblance of ‘ground’ beneath the rift, he would have hit it face-first.
Of course, Kolvar realised this and decided to create some ‘ground’ for Kriemler to have a faceful of with his Earth Pseudo-Authority…the spiked kind of ground.
The giant earthen spike that erupted from the bottom of the molten crater beneath the rift shot upward so fast that Kriemler couldn’t summon any strong defences in time, and his hastily formed metal shield was easily pierced by the spike that went on to puncture his left eye.
“GAAARHH!!”
As the Greater Demon’s scream echoed, Kolvar’s feet landed on the ground at the crater’s bottom, the earth crumbling under his weight as magma spilt up and burned his foot.
He ignored the magma and looked up at Dergren’s body, which crashed at the bottom of the crater with enough force to bounce back up, breaking more of the planet’s crust, and threw out a shockwave punch that sent the giant lion flying back toward Kriemler.
The groaning demon held his bloody eye with one hand and waved his other, intending to knock Dergren out of the way when a wave of darkness crashed into his back, blanketing the earth in shadows that launched thousands of spears upwards.
Dozens of them shot through the air and stabbed toward Kriemler’s arm, cracking his reforged metal skin but failing to pierce the flesh underneath, while also stabbing into Dergren’s bloodied hide, each one exploding within seconds of contact with bursts of darkness law energy.
“You lizard…!”
Kriemler tried to turn his body toward Ciarrucorth, who’d fired the attack in rage, but the instant he moved, he was hit by a wide stream of celestial energy laced with glass shards, the Glass Dragon’s breath engulfing his body completely and continuing on to strike the intended target behind him, Dergren.
Dergren managed to raise a multi-layered barrier of spatial law energy and roared to break the space the breath occupied, but Kolvar, who was behind them, threw out a punch that sent a shockwave crashing into the Demonic-Fused Executive’s barrier, breaking it from the inside.
Taking a deep breath, Kolvar dashed to his right side, and the instant Rizass’ breath attack died down, he shot toward the wounded Kriemler, his clothes ripping apart as he transformed into a giant lion and chomped down on Kriemler’s bloodied left arm.
With all of his might and his Pseudo-Authority’s power, Kolvar pierced his fangs into the demon’s flesh and bone, pulling his head and ripping the arm off even as Kriemler screamed and conjured several metallic blades that stabbed into his side.
Blood poured downward like a waterfall from Kriemler’s arm as Kolvar fell with the limb in his fangs, returning to his humanoid form and collapsing into a small pool of magma with blood spilling from his sides where Kriemler’s metal blades stabbed him.
The Greater Demon clutched the bloodied stump with an agonised expression, and at the sight, Dergren’s expression contorted. They used Blink to teleport and avoid another one of Rizass’ glass hailstorms, then quickly used a stronger spell to gain further distance, landing on what was left of the planet’s crust with deep breaths.
As they sensed the two dragons flying toward them fast, the ‘Xolgren’ part of Dergren split out, speaking to Deram with a grave tone.
[Deram. Buy me time. I’m using it!]
Immediately, demonic energy erupted from the lion’s fifty metre frame, the blood spilling from the countless wounds across their dark-brown hide floating up into the air as the energy around them whirled into a giant cyclone that expanded outwards, shredding everything in its path.
Seeing this, Evan immediately summoned the Akashic Page, his expression darkening as he muttered.
“Fuck…they didn’t kill them fast enough.”
A lattice of spell circles appeared around Dergren’s body, unfurling in every direction as dozens of arrays spread across the ground while even larger ones bloomed high above in the sky, each formation stacking over the next in overlapping layers that rotated in slow, grinding arcs.
Rings of light spun around the core arrays like interlocking gears, expanding and contracting as if the entire structure were breathing, each cycle sucking in ambient summoning and spatial law energy.
Then, Xolgren’s voice, distorted by static, echoed across the land.
“By pAct aNd mark, By namE lonG caSt away, by thE ChAinS of oAtH aNd thE caLL of coNqUEsT!
yE, SeAlEd thE DEep wIthIn, ThE labYrintH of thE abYss, cOMe fOrtH, anD fUlFill tHe pAct ThIne arT sWorN, O fOrgOttEn cONqUeRoR oF woRLds!”
The moment the final word left his mouth, every magic circle, ground-bound, sky-bound, and those rotating around Dergren, collapsed into one another in a cascading sequence of implosions that condensed all their radiance into a single, blinding orb.
Kolvar attempted to rise and move, but the moment he did, a jolt of pain from the wounds in his side forced him down onto his knees.
The condensed mass of magic power and demonic energy then forced open a jagged hole through reality, light spilling out in harsh waves until, with a deafening crack, a giant egg dropped from the rift and slammed onto the ground before Dergren.
For a moment, there was a tense silence.
All of that magic power, law energy, and demonic energy that had even ripped a hole through the fabric of reality had just summoned a giant egg.
Sure, this giant egg was over a hundred meters tall, and it had a deep black shell that basically screamed ‘I am ominous and dangerous’, but it radiated not a single iota of energy.
No presence, no life sign, no magic power, no demonic energy, no law energy, nothing.
Evan slowly raised his hand to the communicator in his ear, pressed a button, and spoke directly to Laurene.
“Laurene, don’t look at that thing.”
It was a single line that sent chills down Laurene’s spine as she immediately understood what it meant for Evan to warn her now.
Whatever was about to emerge from that egg would blind her if she dared to look, attempting to perceive its Truth with her Mystic Eyes.
Evan was about to issue a similar warning to David and Bianca when a crack arced down the surface of the shell from top to bottom, right in the centre, and the shell began crumbling from the top.
Emerging from within was a giant creature even bigger than Xolgren’s mechanical abomination, its massive body covered in a mix of purple scales and pale, grey crab-like armour.
Perched atop its ten crab-like, jointed legs was a torso from which five single-eyed, reptile-like heads stretched, each framing huge maws lined with jagged teeth, from which drool streamed.
Multiple thinner, hook-tipped appendages extended from its upper body, curling through the air, their hooks glowing the same hue as the eye on the nearest head.
The pressure it radiated was suffocating, an oppressive weight that froze nearly every living being on the battlefield, their bodies and souls refusing to obey.
Every instinct of those witnessing it screamed danger beyond comprehension, even though it remained completely still, doing nothing besides passively corrupting the terrain around it with its aura.
Kolvar’s face contorted as he, the closest existence to a Deity present, sensed the immense depths of law energy and demonic energy within the creature’s body, its scale reaching far beyond anything he had ever encountered.
‘…victory…impossible…’
Those two words crossed the Beast King’s mind as he desperately searched for paths where victory might be achievable with the aid of the other Transcendents, finding none.
He sensed Altrishia’s presence drawing closer from the Divider Ocean, and even Rathal had left the Northern Alpha Continent and was rushing toward Tarse, but Kolvar’s instincts told him it would all still be futile.
The sheer amount of law energy this chimaera-like creature radiated suggested it possessed not just one but several fully realised Authorities over universal laws.
His understanding proved correct, for this ‘Forgotten World Conqueror’ was a being from the universe’s second most dangerous location, the Abyss Labyrinth.
Evan had not known this at first, but during his time as ‘Prisma’, he realised that the Abyss Labyrinth was an artificially created Prison Realm, formed by the combined power of thousands of Race Kings across the universe to imprison common enemies and defiers of their rule.
Xolgren’s trump card was summoning one of those imprisoned existences from within the Abyss Labyrinth, using his own soul and the countless souls he had gathered over decades of fighting on multiple battlefront worlds before Aidos as the cost for the summoning.
It was a trump card with a limited window of usage, a power that would guarantee Xolgren’s death should that time be exceeded.
The Forgotten World Conqueror stayed silent for ten seconds before turning its central and largest head toward Kolvar, its jaw widening slightly as law energy gathered within it.
‘!!’
Kolvar instinctively tried to throw his body out of the way in a desperate bid to survive, but before he had moved even an inch, a deep purple beam of destruction law energy shot through space straight at him.
“ABSOLUTE DEFENCE!!!”
A massive shield of crimson gold magic power and law energy manifested in front of Kolvar, taking the shape of a large cube that absorbed the beam, cracking and crumbling under the force as it neutralised the destructive energy in a blinding flash.
Shockwaves radiated outward in every direction, making the ground tremble violently as rock and dust were flung into the air.
