Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 934 - 934: Silverwing, Craitid, Faldo II

Craitid shoved Silverwing off his body and charged at Evan, moving around the weapon barrage’s range and attacking Evan from the side with his claws coated in molten rock.
Faldo charged in from behind, but Evan simply teleported, causing the two reptilian creatures to attack and wound each other instead.
He then activated Everlasting Chains, sending crimson-gold chains flying to wrap tightly around Craitid’s wings.
With a powerful heave, Evan anchored himself on a Void Step, planting his feet with a solid grip. Then, spinning with building momentum, he flung Craitid’s struggling body in a wide arc.
As Silverwing rose from the ground, already regenerating its wounds and hurtling forward to rejoin the fight, Evan timed his throw perfectly, sending Craitid’s full weight crashing down onto Silverwing once more.
Evan then raised his hands, activating Tempest Avatar and giving it Frostborne Colossus’ frozen lightning sword.
He swung his blade down, using World Sunder again and the Avatar mirrored his action, swinging its frozen lightning blade onto Faldo who tried to attack him from behind.
As Evan’s destructive flames slash ripped through the air and collided with Silverwing and Craitid, Faldo blocked Evan’s Avatar’s strike with a magic shield, ripping the avatar apart with his claws.
[Solar Frost Nova!]
The spell released a burst of freezing light that emanated from Faldo, creating a shockwave intent on freezing and damaging Evan. But the boy fought back with a surge of his own Frostfire, countering the spell perfectly.
Following it up, two portals appeared on Faldo’s either side, unleashing beams of prismatic flames that forced the dragon to cancel his follow-up attack and fly up to avoid it.
“Hydra.”
Evan calmly activated his skill and three serpentine dragons, each coiling with elements of flames, ice, and lightning, formed in mid-air and charged towards Faldo, their maws crackling with concentrated energy.
Faldo met the first wave with ferocity, his claws shimmering with Annihilation essence as they slashed through the dragons, tearing them apart in bursts of elemental energy.
Shreds of flame, frost, and crackling electricity scattered around him, but Evan simply shrugged.
“There’s more where that came from.”
Three more serpents manifested and lunged toward Faldo, followed by six, then twelve, then twenty-four, and finally a veritable storm of forty-eight serpentine dragons, each charging from a different direction.
They encircled the dragon, latching on with powerful jaws and ripping into his scales, sending fragments of his pristine white scales flying before digging into his flesh.
Roaring with rage, Faldo unleashed a potent burst of Annihilation essence, causing a shockwave that disintegrated the nearest serpents.
With a final thunderous roar, he reared his head back and unleashed a massive breath attack, incinerating the elemental dragons in a searing wave of destruction.
The storm of flames and lightning cleared, but as the haze lifted, Faldo realized Evan was no longer where he’d expected him to be.
Sensing danger, Faldo swung his tail in a powerful arc, catching the edge of Evan’s sword with a violent shockwave that forced Evan back.
With a flick of his tail, Faldo activated Skywrath, sending a vortex of Annihilatory winds and razor-sharp air currents directly at his opponent.
Mixing in with air currents that Evan backed away to avoid was a storm of feathers glinting with icy blue light.
{Silver Blade Domain.}
The razor-sharp sharp feathers shimmering with frost, whirled around Evan in a blizzard of death. They spun faster, closing in from every angle, hundreds of feathers poised to rip him apart the moment they converged.
“Mesarthim: Orange: Self-Immolation. Shockwave + Elemental Surge.”
Evan’s Mesarthim technique turned him into a human torch, and the skill combo he used right after released a pulse of destructive flames and lightning that consumed the converging feathers in a chaotic burst of energy.
But Silverwing wasn’t done. The bird flew high above and screeched, releasing a high-velocity breath of ice while Faldo dived in from behind, coating his claws in his white flames as he tried to rip Evan apart.
The massive white dragon’s scales reflected the sunlight as he plummeted towards Evan with terrifying speed. Craitid joined from the other side, roaring as molten earth coated his claws, and flaming projectiles began raining from the sky, adding to the assault.
Faced with the three simultaneous attacks, Evan moved in a flash. Time Difference activated, accelerating his perception as the world slowed around him, granting him precious moments to plan every move.
His left hand shot forward as he activated Vindiction’s Strike. At the same moment, he used Hydra, sending twelve serpentine dragons charging toward Silverwing.
A portal materialized in front of his left palm, unleashing a beam of searing flames that clashed against Silverwing’s high-velocity ice breath.
With a quick, clockwise spin, Evan activated Frostshade’s ability via the Unforged Vale, releasing a sweeping Frost Slash.
The icy wave froze every flaming projectile Craitid had launched, the crimson-gold frost spreading even further as he infused it with his Harbinger of Ice’s chilling power, causing the ice to encase Craitid himself.
Evan then teleported, reappearing directly above Faldo’s head and he brought his leg down, delivering a fierce axe kick, augmented by Collapse, which shattered the dragon’s hastily raised barrier.
His kick struck Faldo’s skull, sending the dragon plummeting to the ground like a meteor. Not hesitating, Evan unleashed a powerful Dragon Breath directly onto Faldo’s head, piercing the dragon’s Imperial Scales and drawing blood.
Faldo’s tail whipped in from the left, threatening to collide with him, but Evan raised his shield just in time to block the hit. The sheer force knocked him off Faldo’s body, sending him tumbling through the air.
As he regained his balance, Silverwing dove, talons outstretched. Evan pivoted and raised his shield, deflecting the talon strike as his feet sank into the ground, cratering the earth beneath him.
Using Adamantine Might to bolster his strength, he shoved Silverwing’s talons aside and thrust his right sword-wielding hand forward, firing a point-blank Prismatic Vortex that blasted the giant bird back.
Before it could get far, Evan let go of his sword and released his Everlasting Chains, ensnaring Silverwing and yanking it back toward him.
With spin, he hurled Silverwing toward Faldo, but Faldo had anticipated this. The dragon flew above Silverwing, unleashing a Breath of Annihilation aimed straight at Evan.
On his other flank, Craitid broke free of the ice and released another scorching breath, while Silverwing, recovering after being thrown to the ground, roared and released a third high-velocity ice breath.
All three beams converged on him from different angles and Evan knew better than to remain in the blast zone.
He teleported out of harm’s way, evading the explosive convergence of attacks.
Evan reappeared beside Faldo, and the Unforged Vale flew back into his hand. He infused it with destructive essence and swung it down with World Sunder, the blade cutting through the air and biting deep into Faldo’s left wing.
The blade cleaved through scales and bone, severing the wing clean off in a single, devastating stroke. Faldo’s roar erupted, a primal scream that shook the battlefield, reverberating through the Bounded Field.
In his rage, Faldo unleashed a powerful area-of-effect spell. White flames erupted from his body in an all-consuming wave, surging outward with a scorching intensity that cared little for Craitid or Silverwing in its path.
The white flames crashed into Evan, engulfing him point-blank. However, his resistance to flames and frost softened the burning impact, leaving him scorched but still standing.
Faldo possessed Annihilation Law essence that was capable of ignoring durability and annihilating souls, and it was for this very reason Evan had been careful to avoid getting hit.
Thankfully, Evan’s got Anima, so his soul was protected.
In that same moment, Faldo activated Ignis Vitalis, a radiant flame swirling over the wound on his head Evan caused earlier and mending it.
He charged forward, claws slicing through the air and Evan leapt back to evade. Danger Sense rang an alarm and he ducked as Silverwing’s talons raked past, only to spring upward a moment later, avoiding Craitid’s sweeping claws that shot in from below.
Evan beat his wings and shot into the air, his sword igniting brilliant flames.
At that moment, he noticed a strange surge of power rippling through the air and he turned to see Arthur and Crarox turning another portion of the Bounded Field into a wasteland.
Suddenly, his vision warped, and the world around him shifted—he blinked, finding himself inexplicably standing exactly where he’d been five minutes earlier.
“…huh?”
Confusion spread across his face as he took in his surroundings. The power he’d been channelling into his sword, readying for an attack, had simply vanished.
Before he could fully process the bizarre shift, a screech pierced the air and Evan turned to see Silverwing wounded, its body bearing the same damage he had been intending to inflict.
Then, ‘memories’ of the attack he hadn’t yet made flooded into his mind, hitting him like a jolt.
“What’s happening?”
Evan muttered, bewildered by the sudden shifts.
He glanced over at Faldo, only to see injuries reappearing on the dragon—wounds that Faldo had already healed with Ignis Vitalis.
Seeing the Dragon return to his battered state, the pieces clicked in Evan’s mind.
In Arthur’s clash with Crarox, he’d used a ‘Time Bomb’ and that had sent the flow of events spiralling out of order, warping the sequence of actions.
Time itself was out of joint, blurring cause and effect.
Just as he grasped the situation, Craitid launched forward, his massive form vanishing only to reappear a meter away, claws slashing toward him.
Evan teleported in an instant, narrowly evading the sudden attack.
‘The time distortion made Craitid skip the process of reaching me and directly arrive at the moment he attacked… Damn, time manipulation is insane!’
Fortunately, Arthur caught on to the time anomaly’s effects and stabilized the distortions using his Pseudo-Authority, reining the timeline back in place, so Evan didn’t experience any more shifts.
But what had already been done or undone remained that way.
In other words, Silverwing and Faldo remained injured.
Taking advantage of this, Evan dashed teleported above the injured Silverwing, unleashing a point-blank Vortex that shredded apart its feathers and tore deep into its flesh.
Ignoring its screeches, Evan punched his left hand into Silverwing’s body and unleashed an Energy Blast barrage on the bird’s insides.
He then teleported to avoid Craitid’s claws swiping down on him, reappearing right in front of Faldo’s massive face.
Faldo’s glowing eyes widened in surprise, but Evan didn’t give him a moment to react.
With a devastating punch, charged with lightning and destructive force, Evan’s fist collided with Faldo’s snout.
‘Adamantine Might, Pierce Guard, Permeating Wave!’
The combo tore through Faldo’s defences and sent ripples of energy through the dragon’s body, dealing both external and internal damage.
Faldo roared in pain, the annihilation breath he’d been preparing cutting off as his head snapped back.
Evan then grabbed Faldo’s tail with both hands, his muscles straining as he spun the massive dragon around with a violent twist.
‘Mesarthim! Flammable Arms!’
The boy buffed his arm strength and then flung Faldo through the air like a ragdoll, sending the enormous dragon hurtling away at supersonic speed, a blur of white light streaking across the sky.
Meanwhile, on a distant part of the battlefield, Crarox lunged at Arthur with a roar, its massive body crashing forward.
Before the attack could land, a blinding streak of white collided with Crarox’s head, the force of the impact sending the leviathan crashing to the ground, its massive form skidding across the earth.
“…wha-?”
Arthur blinked in confusion, staring at the stunned Leviathan now sprawled out before him.
Before he could process what had just happened, Evan’s voice rang out through the chaos.
[Arthur! Did you see my sandbag dragon?]
Arthur whipped his head around just in time to see Evan flying over, answering Arthur’s confusion.
Evan had flung Faldo through the air and the dragon had knocked Crarox out of the sky.
