Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 942 - 942: Level 700

“Thank you.”
Artemisia said, offering a small smile and Arthur raised a brow, mildly surprised.
“I see…
Artemisia, you should keep up your stoic expression. A smile on you would send arrows flying into the hearts of many guys.”
“?”
His words prompted imaginary question marks to float around her and she tilted her head, genuinely puzzled. This sight made Beatrix sigh and shake her head.
“Don’t bother, Arthur. Arty wouldn’t understand anyway.”
“…what are you talking about?”
Artemisia asked, frowning but Beatrix just looked at Arthur while gesturing at her, amused.
“See?”
Arthur just laughed, while Artemisia’s frown deepened, sensing she was the butt of a joke she still didn’t understand.
◇ ◇ ◇
Arthur gathered as many Divine Spark fragments as he could carry before they made their way out of the Veiled Realm. En route, he decided to gauge the energy needed for his next breakthrough, and the figure he found was so staggering he nearly lost his footing mid-air.
Once they reached the cliff, Beatrix, who noticed his reaction, asked.
“What happened?”
In response, Arthur sat on the ground, chuckling.
“I just found out how much energy I need for my next breakthrough. It’s honestly absurd.”
“How much?”
Considering how nonstandard Arthur was, Beatrix was half-expecting some astronomical number. But the answer she got was…very underwhelming.
“5 times my current amount.”
“…just 5? That’s quite little considering it’s you we’re talking about here.”
Beatrix was assuming that Arthur was in the Sovereign Realm now, where power jumps were enormous with each stage, so she didn’t think much of 5.
Putting It into numerical Values, Legendries had power levels maxing out at around 500,000 units, and Sovereigns had a base which was triple that value.
But Arthur already had that kind of power as a Legendary, so Beatrix was thinking the exponential increase he’d get would be a lot higher and more mind-blowing.
“Having a large power capacity has its cons too, huh? It’s good because it’d make you stronger in the same realm, but conversely, you’d need more energy to get to the next one.”
Arthur mused, propping his chin on his palm and looking to the sky with a sigh…Then, he released his energy.
Instantly, the air thickened with destructive energy, so dense that the fabric of space around them shimmered and warped.
Beatrix, Evan, and Artemisia felt gravity pressing down on them as cracks formed in the ground, while trees swayed under the intense pressure.
At the sight of this, Evan’s eyes widened, not out of fear, but realisation.
‘This…it’s comparable to the Second Finger!’
Then, just as quickly, the force vanished, leaving them breathless and Arthur laughed at their stunned faces.
“You see why I said it was absurd? I have to quintuple that.”
Still laughing, Arthur got to his feet, thinking about the fact that that was only 50% of his true maximum.
Turning towards the veil, Arthur started to walk ahead, but Evan, who regained composure first, hurried up to him.
“Dude, when it’s time for me to get back to the future, I’d like for you to come with me.”
“The heck?”
“I’m serious. There’s this particular person that I’d your help defeating and with what you just showed, you’re certainly strong enough.”
‘Yes…strong enough to defeat the Second Finger.’
Evan thought this, though he didn’t say it aloud. But Arthur recalled their talk during the battle with Idrilla about the organization trying to invite invaders into Evan’s world, and that among Evan’s Reborn Adversaries, Demonic Humans were a frequent foe.
As they left the Veil, Arthur silently analysed Evan’s enemies, but their thoughts were interrupted when something fell from the sky and hit Evan’s head.
“What the?”
The two goddesses emerged from the Veil just in time to see it—a stone, tumbling to the ground.
“Isn’t that the stone you threw up before you entered?”
“It…is.”
Evan frowned, realization dawning. They’d spent nearly half an hour inside the Veil, yet the stone was just now falling.
But he quickly figured out what was happening. He turned to the Veil behind him and then glanced at Arthur before asking.
“Isn’t this the same thing you did last month?”
“Yeah.
That Titan god’s corpse has been there for years, and yet it’s still so fresh. Time has to either be stopped or dilated to the extreme within that thing.”
Artemisia explained in place of Arthur, earning a silent thumbs-up from the silver-haired teen as he headed towards the ruins of the city. The tear in the Veil sealed itself behind them as Arthur deactivated his Progenitor Authority.
‘We’re not the first to find this place, and we certainly would not be the last. I don’t want more Aramisians finding this place so I’d reinforce the seal on the Dimensional Gate outside.’
While Arthur was thinking this, Evan stoned the Chief Priest’s seal on the ground and like Arthur had said, it broke.
The man’s body was released from the seal and without hesitation, Evan activated BoD and relieved the old man of his head.
[Level Up] x12
“Wow, he still gave so much EXP despite how close I was.”
Evan muttered under his breath, then he turned to Artemisia and Beatrix who were behind him and added.
“Can you guys back away for a few moments?”
Artemisia turned her gaze towards him, and immediately, her eyes widened.
Her surprise was natural, after all, her Evolution powers had told her what just happened to Evan.
Level- 699 –-> 700
Energy began swirling around Evan, and Artemisia quickly distanced herself as much as she could.
The reason she acted like this was because she could sense that Adaptive Evolution was trying to draw power from her again.
The problem was that she did not have the necessary power for whatever it was that the skill wanted to do. If it tried to draw from her, it’d suck her dry.
Naturally, Artemisia did not want that.
In Evan’s field of vision, he was seeing a familiar set of notifications he hadn’t seen in a while.
Adaptive Evolution is Online.
Unveiling True Nature: Activating Pseudo-Authority of Evolution.
…
Increasing Accumulated Energy Quality…
Failed: Adaptive Evolution lacks sufficient energy.
Seeing this, Evan’s eyes darted around and saw that Artemisia was nowhere in sight. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he realised this, but just then, a new wave of energy surged towards him and his vision blurred.
The energy coiled around him, forming a swirling cocoon that encased his entire body.
Inside, he felt his very form start to melt, a sensation like liquefying, yet he retained full consciousness, watching the notifications unfold in his mind’s eye.

Existential Aspect 2: Energy Evolution Completed.
‘That was rather quick…’
Right after Evan had this thought, the next stage began.
Existential Aspect 3: Soul.
Rejected.
Previous Logs show Pseudo-Authority of Evolution does NOT have suitable ‘Authority’ to interfere with Host’s Soul.
No Attempts shall be made to Interfere with Host’s Soul.
‘Why, thank you.’
Reason: Host’s soul has a higher ‘Authority’ than Adaptive Evolution, blocking interference.
‘…Can you make it any more obvious?’
Evan couldn’t help but ask this as he saw the reason why his soul warded off Adaptive Evolution’s attempts.
Just then, a new force began to stir around him—a true, potent current of universal law energy.
This wasn’t the diluted imitation essence created with magic power he’d been using all these years; it was genuine law energy.
It surged toward him, slipping past physical barriers and moving deep into his very soul.
For a moment, Evan was wondering why this went to his Soul mere moments after seeing the notification about his Soul’s Authority, but he quickly understood why.
This wasn’t an external interference—it was part of the natural process of becoming a Legendary.
He felt the energy sinking into the core of his soul, triggering small nodes to form along his soul, points where the energy pooled and stabilized.
The energy cycled through these nodes, coursing through his energy circuits, and then flowing out into his body. Over and over, the process repeated, each cycle strengthening the connection, solidifying the nodes until dozens of them had emerged all across his soul.
‘Oh, so these are the Nodes for Law Energy Manipulation. I would be able to manipulate other Laws with this…’
When the energy finally settled, the nodes remained as stable reservoirs, connecting his soul more firmly to the universal law energies he could now draw upon.
Host’s Vessel has Expanded to the Cosmic Limit of the ‘Legendary Level’
‘The what now?’
There was a maximum limit of power that each Existence Level had. Any normal existence at a certain Level cannot surpass that limit of power without ascending to the next.
If they were to exceed that Limit, then their Existence Levels become ‘Undefined’.
Normally, one’s Vessel expanded to that Limit when they were in the Superior Stage, but this was Evan.
When had things related to him ever been normal?
‘Why do I feel like I’ve been subtly insulted…’
Ignoring Evan’s thoughts, the ascendance process moved on to the next set of things that had to change with him becoming a Legendary.
His Unique Skills.
1-|Mystic Eyes of Mimicry (4) Attempts to Evolve. |
Failed. Level Requirement for Mystic Eyes of Mimicry (5) is 800.
…
2-|Adaptive Evolution Attempts to Evolve. |
This would consume accumulated energy stored for Reincarnated Hero System Survival Enhancement Mode. Proceed?
‘Fuck NO!’
Evan knew that the Survival Enhancement Mode offered crucial advantages that could mean the difference between victory and defeat in future encounters with more powerful beings, so there was no way he would agree to this.
Rejected by Host.
…
3-|Blessing of Destruction|
Host has reached Level 700.
Host can now manipulate REAL ambient Law Energy, rendering Blessing of Destruction’s ability to generate Lower-Tier Law Essence Redundant.
Level Requirements are met
Blessing of Destruction: 2nd Activation Unsealed
A wave of surprise washed over Evan. He had partially forgotten that the Blessing of Destruction he’d been utilizing was only the 1st activation.
Curiosity sparked within him about what the second activation might entail.
‘Is it a Pseudo-Authority?’
He mused internally and to his surprise, a response echoed back.
Negative: ‘Bestowed’ Pseudo-Authority of Destruction requires Higher Tier Activation.
‘Oh…so there is one…’
Positive
…
4-|Vortex|
Resonating with Host’s Combat Class…
All ‘Vortex’ variations with ‘Elemental’ Attributes now deal 50% more damage.
Basically, his ‘Prismatic’ and ‘Ice’ Vortexes were now stronger than the Base non-attributed one.
