Reincarnated Hero System - Chapter 943 - 943: New Class

|Upgrading Host’s Class and Class Bonuses|
|Changing Host’s Class from ‘Elemental Sword Mystic’…|
|Attempting to Replace ‘Elemental’ Modifier with ‘Flame’ Modifier…|
‘?!’
Evan’s Main Element was fire, so naturally, his Class which was assigned based on his Existential Records leaned towards it.
But Evan didn’t want his class to be specialized in just Flames alone. He didn’t want to sacrifice his other elements for the sake of a singular focus.
Before Evan could even think to reject the modification, the messages shifted.
|Error: Class Modification Attempt Failed. |
|Host’s primary affinity is Flame; however, a modifier shift to the would result in a significant decrease in the effectiveness of other elemental affinities. |
|Searching for a suitable higher-tier ‘Elemental’ Class…|
Moments later, the system delivered a new combat class tailored for him.
|Class Upgrade Successful! |
|New Class: ‘Elemental Combat Fusionist’ Unlocked! |
…
.
…
|This Completes the Evolutionary Process|
◇ ◇ ◇
The cocoon shattered, and Evan landed lightly on the ground. Ignoring the curious gazes on him, he summoned the Unforged Vale without hesitation—and proceeded to make a cut across his arm.
“?!”
“What is wrong with you?!”
Artemisia’s voice shot up in alarm as she watched Evan casually slit his own wrist as if testing paper. He simply shrugged, unfazed.
“I’m just testing something out.”
He glanced at the blood spilling from his hand before murmuring.
“Mesarthim; Green.”
A soft, light green flame burst around his wrist, closing the wound almost immediately. Watching this, Arthur raised an eyebrow, impressed.
“Oh, you’ve gained ‘Flames of Life’?”
Though Arthur did not possess this ability, his uncle did and said uncle had given him charges of his power. One of those charges was what he’d used to regenerate his arm earlier when the Staff of Olympian Authority destroyed it.
For his level, Arthur observed that Evan’s Flames of Life were remarkably potent.
As the last of his wounds vanished without a scar, Artemisia seized Evan by the ear.
“Cut yourself like that again, and I’ll smack you with the back of my shoe.”
Evan laughed off the warning, saying it was just a one-time test—though the look in Artemisia’s eyes suggested she wasn’t buying it.
Arthur, still observing the last embers of the green flames, mused aloud.
“So your RED flames Ignore Durability, ORANGE are for Enhancement, YELLOW purifies curses and debuffs, and GREEN heals.
What do the others do?”
Prompted by Arthur’s question, Evan pulled up Mesarthim’s Skill tab.
|Mesarthim: Prismatic Inferno;
Type: Unique Series Skill
This multifaceted skill allows the user to command flames in the vibrant hues of the rainbow, enveloping targets in prismatic fire.
Offensively, Mesarthim has a fixed chance to bypass a portion of the target’s durability and resistances, dealing damage based on their maximum health.
When activated, an ethereal blaze flares in radiant reds, vivid oranges, striking yellows, lush greens, bright blues, and deep purples, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that captivates allies and opponents alike.
This skill cannot be lost or taken away unless very special circumstances are met.
Effect;
Mesarthim’s multifaceted power allows the wielder to manipulate each colour within the inferno, granting remarkable versatility:
RED: The red flames of Mesarthim embody relentless fury and unparalleled heat, capable of scorching enemies to cinders. These fiery tongues possess an insatiable appetite for destruction, devouring all obstacles in their path.
ORANGE: The orange flames of Mesarthim radiate intense warmth and energetic vigour. They lend their invigorating power to allies, bolstering their strength and resilience, inspiring them to face any challenge with unwavering courage.
YELLOW: The yellow flames of Mesarthim carry the essence of enlightenment and purification. They possess a cleansing touch, able to dispel curses, and banish malevolent entities.
GREEN: The green flames of Mesarthim symbolize vitality and rejuvenation. They possess remarkable healing properties, knitting wounds, revitalizing weary spirits, and granting a second chance at life to those on the brink of despair.
BLUE: [Locked Effect]
INDIGO: [Locked Effect]
VIOLET: [Locked Effect]
Restrictions:
Due to the true nature of the power that is ‘Mesarthim’, certain abilities of this skill are sealed and would only be unlocked either when; The user’s Attunements to Flames increase, their proficiency with the base abilities of the skill increases, or the user gains a deeper understanding of ‘Flames’ and ‘Mesarthim’ itself.
Utilizing this skill demands a deep reservoir of Energy. |
He looked at the last three lines reading [LOCKED] and responded.
“I’ll find out when I unlock them.”
“Fair enough.”
With Arthur’s brief reply, the conversation came to a close, and the group set off toward the Dimensional Gate to leave this realm behind.
In a twisted sense, they had ended up granting Idrilla’s wish—to eliminate every soul in Iklaque. During his battle with the Chief Priest, Arthur had unwittingly brought that dark vision to life.
As they walked, Evan took a look at his status board, eager to see the changes to his stats and skills.

The boy then pulled up the details of his new Combat Class, wanting to see exactly what was different.
| Elemental Combat Fusionist;
Description:
The User has always embraced a versatile fighting style, possessing a ‘Sword’ Class while also relishing in throwing hands. To reflect this hybrid nature, this Unique class has been crafted.
Retaining the ‘Elemental’ modifier, this class enhances ‘General Combat’, rather than limiting itself to just ‘Sword’ Combat. It specializes in fusing swordplay with martial arts, combining elemental mastery with physical prowess. This fusion enables the User to unleash devastating hybrid attacks that harness the full potential of multiple elements.
The Elemental Combat Fusionist excels in adaptability, while also dependent on the User’s knowledge of different elements and ability to exploit enemy weaknesses while maintaining fluidity and precision in both armed and unarmed combat.
Class Boosts;
15% Increase in Overall Energy Manipulation Speed.
15% Increase in Weapon and Non-Weapon Attack Strength/Damage and Speed.
15% Increase in Elemental Energy-Based Attack Strength/Damage and Speed. |
‘Who the heck wrote this description?! I like to throw hands?!…’
Evan screamed internally, ready to protest—until a rapid reel of his battles over the past four years flashed through his mind.
‘…Alright, fair point.’
Congratulations, Evan. Now he could throw hands without worrying about damage loss.
Moving on, he checked Blessing of Destruction.
|Blessing of Destruction;
Type: la#s1#7i5 Unique Skill.
A Blessing granted to the user by the one who governs over ‘Destruction’.
This skill cannot be lost or taken away, except if certain conditions are met.
Base Effects;
Destructive Energy Circuit.
15% Stat Boost.
15% Increase in Skill Effectiveness.
30% Increase in Destructive Skill and Magic Strength/Damage.
—
1st Activation;
For up to 150 minutes per 24 hours, this skill allows the user to harness the power of an Aspect of Destruction.
It draws on ambient Destruction Universal Law energy to cloak the user in an aura that boosts overall power by 300%.
True Damage dealt to opponents is enhanced during this state.
Defence against this is only possible by greater energy output or another universal law—though the latter may fail, as Destruction often “destroys” such defences if the user’s law manipulation is superior to their opponent’s.
2nd Activation;
Can only be used while 1st Activation is active. Single Time Energy Cost of 15% Maximum Energy.
Destructive Resonance Field.
When the 2nd Activation is invoked, a Destructive Resonance Field, spanning a radius of 100 meters is created around the user. This field manipulates ambient energy, infusing the surrounding matter with Destruction Law Energy.
Effects:
—Destructive Field Enhancement: Within this resonance field, the user’s attack speed and power are boosted by 15% for any attacks infused with Destruction Energy. However, attacks lose this buff once they exit the field.
—Marked Vulnerability: The user can mark up to five targets within the field with Destruction Law Energy. Marked targets become increasingly vulnerable to the user’s attacks, their defences eroding with each successive strike. The effect accumulates, causing their resistance to weaken the longer they stay marked.
Note: Marking multiple targets increases the energy cost exponentially and diminishes the erosion effect per target.
—Nether Cage: As part of Second Activation, the user can consume 50% of their current energy to summon a Nether Cage around a single target, encasing them in a prison of concentrated Destruction Energy.
This cage inflicts steady, destructive damage, dismantling the target’s armour, magical barriers, and ultimately the target themselves if they remain trapped. Should the cage be broken, a Destruction Energy Burst is released, inflicting an immediate burst of damage upon the target.
Restrictions:
This skill requires at least some energy reserve to use. Activating it with an empty reserve is dangerous, as the Destruction Law energy may damage the user’s body and soul which lacks energy to protect it beyond repair.
Using this skill for more than 150 minutes within a 24-hour period will cause severe damage to the user’s body and soul, risking loss of power, skills, or even memory.
Be cautious: Genuine Destruction Law energy, far more potent than prior Destruction Essence, inflicts lasting soul damage that is challenging to heal. In the worst case, this damage may be permanent and unhealable. |
Evan stared at the Blessing of Destruction 2nd Activation description, frozen in silence for a good ten seconds.
He closed the tab, then reopened it, refreshing the screen repeatedly. Yet the description didn’t change, confirming what he’d just read.
Letting out a long sigh, he finally closed it and set it aside.
Noticing his odd behaviour, Beatrix raised an eyebrow.
“What are you doing?”
Evan looked at her, still half in disbelief as he responded.
“Well, you see… I may have just discovered one of the most ridiculously overpowered skills I’ve ever seen. And, as it turns out, I’m the one who has it.”
With another resigned sigh, he kept walking forward, leaving Beatrix staring after him, utterly confused.
Had she seen what he’d just seen, she’d understand exactly why he looked both amazed and exhausted.
