- Chapter 1551 1551: Pyuku & Undine

—–
Undine slept quite well that night, so well she woke up quite early, feeling refreshed. Aquarina might be her wildest, strongest master so far, and also the only one that has helped her evolve to this point too.
Just as a few other spirits had told her, that no matter how many masters she could have, to never give up, because the right one might one day finally appear. Someone incredible, that will help her evolve.
Evolution.
One of the dreams that any spirit has since their birth.
Spirits cannot evolve on their own most of the time, unless they are born in special places, such as Spiritual Forests and are below the protection of stronger High or Divine Spirits.
Spirits, however, can only achieve their next step of their existence when they find “the right master” and the master help them evolve.
Indeed, spirits have a special relationship with mortals, without them, most of them cannot evolve or further increase their spiritual and magic powers.
As mortals help spirits, and spirits help mortals, a mutual relationship is created, a bond that has been strengthened over the past ten thousand years.
With the arrival of the Saintess of Spirits, this bond that has been made for so long, has reached its apex.
A person capable of not only calling the power of any Spirit within the World, but also with the magic to directly evolve them instantly.
It was believed among spirits, that the Saintess of Spirits wasn’t a Saintess of Humanity or Mortlas…
No, she was the savior of Spirits themselves, their Saintess.
And perhaps this was the reason the Divine Spirits allowed the Gods to create a Saintess for their kind.
“Lara…”
Undine would be lying if she didn’t think about that girl from time to time. She was loyal to Aquarina, and loved her as her master and perhaps little sister.
But aside from her, Lara was special, since the moment she saw her that there was instantly something from her.
It filled Undine with happiness, a strange sense of fulfillment.
“That girl will do big things in the future…” she said. “I hope she’s doing alright…”
Undine glanced at Aquarina after thinking that, noticing she was drooling while grasping her pillow tightly.
“Shylphy… Mooch, mooch… Shylphy I wuv yuuu… Don’t… don’t go…”
“Hah, this girl…”
Undine sighed kissing Aquarina’s nose and leaving her on her own little dream.
“She always dreams something like this every morning… seriously.”
She flew outside the house, looking around, it was a refreshing and beautiful morning as always, the sun was strong as ever, and the dry steppes looked… dry.
“Hah, it is beautiful on its own but indeed, I would rather prefer a place with more vegetation and water… But it’s nice to come here on my own, I’ve never visited such a place in my long life,” she thought. “It’s only thanks to Aquarina that I’ve been able to visit so many new places, hehe.”
She reached the rooftop, noticing someone else was already there.
“Oh my, Pyuku! Good morning, boy.”
“Ah! Undine…”
Pyuku looked very thoughtful this morning, watching the sun without even being bothered.
“What have you been doing here? Is the sun not lethal for you?”
“What? Of course not…”
He had grown strong enough that even being directly exposed to the sun didn’t do much against him, he enjoyed sunbathing, if anything.
Pyuku giggled a bit.
“I’m strong enough I can withstand the sun just fine! Don’t look down on the slime folks, hey!”
“Haha, I suppose you’re also stronger than before… Back then when the girls just met you, you were sure just a little playful silly guy.”
“A-Ah, yes… I was mostly pretending…”
“I doubt so! There was a lot of honesty within you, you were younger I suppose. And you’ve matured more over the years.”
“Ugh… maybe… okay, you got me.”
“Do you miss them?”
“Miss who…?”
“Everyone else? Your friends? I miss them even when I’ve barely talked much with any of them.”
“Ah… yeah, I do miss them a lot. Sylphy… I miss her too, maybe not as much as Aquarina but I do miss her. Zack too, he was a bro to me. Mist cute smile… Lara who was kind of similar. Celeste and Celica a bit. Zephy was nice too! And… Um, Luck, oh yeah he was nice as well!”
“How about the other slimes?”
“Yeah… I want to meet them again, but I know they’re fine right now,” said Pyuku. “I just have been… kind of, maybe too thoughtful lately.”
“What do you mean with that?” Undine wondered.
“Like… I’ve been thinking a lot of things,” said Pyuku. “And what happened yesterday… the reveal of my kind’s origins. And also of the larvae I absorbed… that merged with me. I saw glimpses of their shared memories with older specimens. They traveled the cosmos and all… It made me think a lot.”
“I-I see…” Undine noticed a strange, powerful aura coming from Pyuku. “Pyuku… your aura… Has it always been this shiny before?”
“I don’t know… it just begun to be like this yesterday,” he said. “I think their psychic powers… I kind of inherited them all, which is a bit overwhelming, it’s a lot more power than I imagined.”
“It is!” said Undine. “But I feel something deeper within that power… something incredibly shiny at that! Pyuku, you’re…?”
“…”
Pyuku seemed to be aware of this as well.
“Yeah, I might’ve developed something like a Divinity Spark… I never thought it would appear like this though,” said Pyuku. “It kind of makes me frustrated that I can only grow after learning of the terrible past that my kind has gone through… Makes me mad sometimes.”
“So that’s how it is…” Undine nodded, patting the boy’s arms. “I think you should slowly relax, meditate a bit. Talk to me, anything you feel like talking about, I’m all ears, even things you don’t want to tell to Aquarina or anybody else. I’ll listen, and keep them secret, alright?”
“Undine…” Pyuku felt moved. “Thanks… Thanks a lot…”
“We are both Aquarina’s Familiars, we have to look for one another,” said Undine. “As your senior, I’m only doing what is my responsibility.”
