Chapter 1742: Sylphy’s Powerful Blessing
—–
“{Divine Blessing}!”
FLAAAASH!
Suddenly, Aquarina and her egg were encompassed by a divine rainbow light, covering them completely and engulfing them in a flame-like essence that released thunderous, lightning-like sparks of energy.
FLUOSH!
As this happened, Sylphy gritted her teeth slightly. Her Aura continued fluctuating, and then a large dragon manifested from it, composed of red, blue, and green colors. It quickly merged into the blessing.
SPLASH!
As it merged with the blessing, an explosion of energy resembling a splash of water covered everyone.
And then light encompassed everyone for a few seconds.
“Uh… Ugh… What?”
When Aquarina realized what had happened, she found herself on the shore, still in this Dreamscape, thankfully.
The egg was by her side, now crowned with several rainbow-colored crystals on top of its body, resembling a crown.
Sylphy was there, looking slightly fatigued.
“Ugh…”
“Sylphy?! What happened? A-Are you ok?”
“A-Ah! I’m fine, I’m fine~ Don’t worry, Aquarina.”
“Are you sure? That dragon thingy… was that also intended?”
“Heheh, it was a last-minute decision! I… put a fragment of my soul into the blessing!”
“Eh?!”
Aquarina was shocked and slightly scared of what Sylphy had done!
She knew that Sylphy’s body was super tough and could even survive being shredded apart.
But her soul couldn’t! It was actually her main weakness!
“H-How can you do that?! Your soul…! You shouldn’t have broken a piece of it!” Aquarina cried, growing more and more hysterical.
“C-Calm down! I know it might seem weird, but it didn’t affect me, and it’s not like I was wounded either,” Sylphy said, calming her down with a little kiss on her forehead.
“Eh? But…” Aquarina looked at her, confused.
“Listen, remember how every god gives a Blessing? They don’t only imbue their Divinity or their essence into it, but also a piece of their souls.”
As she spoke, Sylphy touched her chest and then gestured as if she took a piece of it and poured it into Aquarina’s chest.
“What…? So that’s how they do it?”
“Yeah, with the System we can keep these pieces, and they can’t retrieve them anymore, so they will only further merge into our souls over time, giving us a lot more power as we grow.”
“Oh… So what does that have to do with what you did?”
“Well, I tried doing the same. My blessings can’t even be called a ’blessing’ that much. They’re just small permanent buffs that rely on my Mana to run,” Sylphy explained. “I use the power of the System and the Skills tied to it to do these things. You could just call them imitations. But this time, I poured my soul into it, and I think I’ve finally managed to create something more solid for a blessing. The best part is that I succeeded! The blessing is now shared between you and your familiar, and the rest of your familiars too. It is a branching-type blessing! Pretty cool, right?!”
“I-I honestly don’t even know how you come up with these things sometimes…” Aquarina sighed. “But it didn’t hurt you? You look pretty tired! Don’t lie to me…”
“I-I’m not lying… Look, when a god imbues a piece of their soul into someone, they’re so strong it usually doesn’t even bother them,” the half-elf princess said. “The soul doesn’t separate from them, though. It technically still belongs to the god, and there’s a connection. This is how Gods connect with their Heroes, guide them, give them oracles, gift them special abilities, or even items.”
“O-Oh…” Aquarina muttered. “I do remember mom saying something about the Gods sponsoring… that they used to give her weapons and armor… And also some abilities that strengthened her magic circle and physique.”
“Yeah, though they don’t do it anymore because our parents are way too strong,” Sylphy said. “Honestly, they’re probably planning to withdraw their blessings once they die, but seeing how they’re already cultivating a Divine Aspect by taking advantage of the blessing, they might be able to keep it for longer or permanently if they can figure out a way like the System does.”
“That would be really awesome…” Aquarina said. “Wait, so… okay, you did a double blessing and imbued your soul into it, and the blessing you did… you crafted it? And it’s a branching blessing? Is that even possible?”
“It is! It’s not too complicated once you begin mastering Alchemy,” Sylphy said.
“Alchemy?! You did this with Alchemy?!” Aquarina wondered.
“Yeah!” Sylphy nodded. “What? Did you think Alchemy was just about making potions and accessories? Nope, it’s about the manipulation of the world’s elements and chemical reactions. Even magic, divinity, space, and perhaps even time are all made of molecules. By manipulating them through Alchemy with things like Synthesis and Geomancy, you can do a lot of crazy stuff!”
“So you synthesized your own blessings into something new?” Aquarina asked.
“Yeah, that’s why I said it was experimental,” Sylphy nodded. “I pretty much synthesized the basic blessing you have as someone with a System seed, merging it with the other blessing I gave to you and your familiar, then further tying them together with the spiritual blessing, and lastly, a piece of my soul, which wasn’t fragmented out of mine, but flowed out, like… stretching my soul, get it? Then I shaped it into the form I wanted with Alchemy. Pretty simple, right?”
“E-Eh? That’s not simple at all!” Aquarina was amazed. “B-But… it’s amazing, thank you… really.”
“Heheh! Nothing is enough for my cute Aquarina!” Sylphy giggled, as she extended her lips for more kisses. “Mooch, mooch!”
Aquarina gladly obliged, as their lips kissed passionately for a hot minute.
“Uwah~ I missed these~!” Aquarina said, kissing Sylphy’s nose after their lips separated. “Your kisses taste as good as always, even in a dream~ Mooch, mooch!” She continued kissing her cheek.
“They taste like something?” Sylphy wondered, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“Yeah, sometimes they taste like what you ate recently… right now they taste like fruit, so yummy!” Aquarina said something really embarrassing very nonchalantly. “Did you eat fruit?”
“E-Eh? That’s kind of weird… but cute, I don’t know,” Sylphy felt embarrassed. “I did eat fruit for breakfast, but that’s… maybe because I’m technically a tree right now.”
“A-Ah right… I’ve been kissing a tree this entire time! Hahaha!” Aquarina laughed a bit, and Sylphy quickly laughed along.
“Pfff! Tree kisser!”
