Chapter 1745: Waking Up
—–
Aquarina woke up that morning after the dream she had with Sylphy and the many things they did together there.
They talked a lot, kissed, hugged, played, and she even received a blessing from Sylphy, a strong one that connected them even more.
But at the end of the day, it was all a dream, not reality.
“Sylphy…”
As she looked at the window with sunlight streaming from the sky and heard the chirping birds, Aquarina realized it was morning, and she was truly awake. It was another morning, like always. Another day without her.
“Hah…”
Thinking about her girlfriend, Aquarina touched her lips but couldn’t feel anything. It was as if Sylphy was never there, as if she had never met her or touched her. But she did, inside a dream. And dreams, unfortunately, were not reality. Knowing this made Aquarina feel slightly sad. She even felt a bit unmotivated.
“I know you can do it, Aquarina. You’re a strong girl. See you soon!”
But at that moment, Aquarina heard something. Sylphy’s words lingered in her mind, making her furrow her eyebrows and nod. These memories she made with her, these new memories, she could remember the entire dream completely without forgetting a single detail.
With that, Aquarina decided it was enough. She just had to persevere and keep moving forward. She wasn’t alone. She had her friends, her family, her spirits. Everyone was here with her.
Although Sylphy and her friends weren’t here now, she knew they would be in time, perhaps a year from now at most. Filled with more motivation, she quickly grabbed her long white hair and tied it into a ponytail to make it less bothersome during exercise. Then she climbed out of bed and began her morning stretches and exercises.
“I have to work hard… I have to get this done already…! That monster, then the inheritance, and I can see her again… I have to persevere… Just a month or two more, Sylphy! Please… wait for me!”
Undine and Leviathan quickly appeared by her side, along with Pyuku, who had been sleeping inside her Soulscape at some point.
“Hello Aquarina! Good morning,” Undine said.
“Raaarrr!” Leviathan roared cutely.
“Hi…” Pyuku said, still sleepy.
“Ah, hello guys! It’s a nice morning today, isn’t it?” Aquarina greeted them.
Although Undine and Leviathan had been sleeping in her bed, they must have slipped into her Soulscape at some point during the night.
Perhaps because Aquarina moved a lot while sleeping, she had probably crushed them with her heavy, muscular body without realizing it.
She was rough like that… Sylphy wasn’t exempt from this predicament. Aquarina remembered how her girlfriend had told her many times just how much she moved at night and how she always woke up sweaty because Aquarina wouldn’t stop hugging her so tightly, even in the heat.
“Heheh…”
She giggled a little while remembering these moments. As Aquarina began sweating and felt thirsty, she quickly drank some water conjured by Undine.
“Phew…!”
“Why are you laughing like that out of nowhere?” Undine wondered. “Did you have a nice dream?”
“A really nice one, yeah!” Aquarina nodded. “I dreamed with Sylphy.”
“Huh? Okay, but don’t you do that all the time?” Undine asked.
“N-No! This time it was for real something new,” Aquarina insisted. “It was her, for real! She said she contacted me using the magic of her Spirits… and we connected inside a single dream.”
“E-Eh?! Really? So that’s a thing that she can do now?” Undine wondered. “Impressive… not even Spirits can do it so easily though, just what did she do to figure out such a technique?”
“No idea… but it seems like she went through a lot. I bet she became much stronger than before too…” Aquarina said. “She’s awesome, right? She even… Ah right! She gave me a blessing! And another one to the little egg too.”
“The little egg?” Undine asked.
“Ah, the little egg that…” Aquarina quickly began explaining to them what she saw in her dreams.
“Oh, a lot happened then, huh?” Undine wondered.
“Can’t we see the egg? Where is it?” Pyuku wondered.
“Raaarrr!” Leviathan was very excited to see a fellow dragon.
“Uh, that’s the thing. I don’t know where he might be… wasn’t he in the Soulscape?” Aquarina asked.
“Nope…” Undine said.
“Uuh, then… I guess he’ll appear somewhere. Or maybe he’s hiding…” Aquarina yawned. “Oh well! I’m going to go take a shower…”
Feeling more refreshed, Aquarina was about to walk to the shower when a large, oval-shaped figure suddenly appeared by her side out of nowhere.
POOF!
“Uwah?! Ah! Hey, you’re awake! Good morning to you too, little one!”
“Gyuuhhh!”
It was the Wyrm’s Egg! It seemed to have appeared just in time as Aquarina was about to take a shower. She was relieved he was around because it was odd that he wasn’t in the Soulscape anymore.
“Wait, what name should I give you?” she wondered. “Oh! Ah, yeah, this is the egg, guys… I don’t know where it was though. Where did you even go to?”
“Gryaaah!”
The egg let out a cute groan from inside as it moved back, startled when Leviathan approached rapidly like a serpentine beast.
“Rooaaarr!”
Leviathan was very friendly, but the little Wyrm Egg was afraid, flying away from him.
Eventually, Leviathan started chasing the egg everywhere.
“Wow, it’s truly a huge, floating egg, huh? It reminds me of Sylphy’s Ignatius,” said Undine.
“Yeah, Sylphy said he became kind of like a Spiritual Beast,” explained Aquarina. “She said any non-spirit familiar eventually gains spiritual powers. She also said that Pyuku already should have them!”
“Do I?” Pyuku wondered. “Hmm, no idea though. How can I even check that?”
“Eh, don’t you feel spirit energy inside of your body?” Aquarina asked.
“I do, for a while now. Oh wait,” Pyuku was shocked. “So that’s when it started?! I thought it was… Huh, okay then. It started like two years ago. But I mostly attributed it to me getting stronger, hahah…”
