Chapter 1758: The Gods 1
—–
“There are Six Chief Goddesses and Six Chief Gods. As you can see, each one governs a large Pantheon with dozens, sometimes hundreds of gods,” Shade said.
“It is said that the Six Chief Goddesses are beauties like nothing else there could be. Their statues show their beauty as much as possible. They have many people who have fallen in love with them, becoming ardent fanatics,” Shade sighed. “Okay, first…”
“The Chief Goddess who blessed Sylphy and gave her the Heavenly Eyes, Theia, the Chief Goddess of Sight and Heavenly Light. Her Blessing, alongside those of her other gods, gave Sylphy her fire and light affinity and the power to gain strength by being exposed to the sun over time. She also blessed the King of Elves, giving him his amazing Clairvoyance ability, which he has used to protect and help the Kingdom improve over the last ten thousand years.”
The shadows turned slightly dark yellow, showing a beautiful, tall, and slender woman sitting on her throne of light. A large eye-shaped statue stood behind her, representing her all-seeing eyes. She was accompanied by her most loyal god servants, Fiere and Aeolus. Her beautiful grace could only be compared to that of her five sisters.
“Then there’s Rhea, the Chief Goddess of Life and Motherhood. I am fairly sure she’s the one who blessed Lara and made her the Saintess of Spirits. I think she also blessed Luck. Her powers gave Lara a great ability with Nature, Spirit, and Life Magic to heal and protect allies. Luck, instead, gained a strong body full of vitality, incredible regeneration abilities, and the power to rapidly grow physically.”
The shadows transformed into a large, motherly female figure with ample breasts and hips, her long hair covered with flowers and plants. The shadows turned dark green, the fullest extent of the colors they could take, us ually. She seemed graceful and beautiful, perhaps possessing the most “motherly beauty” among her sisters. She held the power of life and motherhood, her entire body covered in the bright light of life. Plants and animals gathered around her naturally.
“And there’s Themis, the Chief Goddess of Law and Order. This is most likely the goddess who threatened Sylphy. She is very temperamental and always ready for a fight. She holds a huge spear and a shield, wearing full body armor,” Shade said.
Her shadow quickly took the shape of the goddess. She was a slender and stoic beauty. Her skin shone brightly with white light. Her eyes glowed with white-gray light, and her hair was long and silvery white. She was the living representation of Law and Order, holding a balance in her left hand and a spear in her right hand. She seemed serious, the most serious of all the chief goddesses.
“And then there’s Mnemosyne, the Chief Goddess of Remembrance and Memory.”
The shadows took her form. She seemed like a calm and composed goddess. Her long, dark brown hair reached her shoulders, and she wore large glasses, not because she couldn’t see well, but because they seemed to be a magical artifact of sorts. She was always holding books and pens. Her size was rather small compared to her siblings. She was also rather cute-looking and seemed approachable.
“Then there’s Phoebe, the Chief Goddess of Intellect and Prophecy. She also blessed Lara, making her an especially strong Saintess with two Chief Goddess blessings at the same time. She was also the one who blessed Faylen alongside Theia, sorry I didn’t mention that.”
The shadows transformed, showing her appearance. She seemed to be another calm beauty. However, she kept her eyes closed and appeared to always be thinking deeply despite her calm demeanor. Her pointy ears made her look like an elf, and some myths say that she created them with the help of other gods, which is why Elves are so talented at magic and so intelligent compared to other races. She had long blonde hair and bright yellow eyes, her figure slender and alluring.
“And lastly, the sixth goddess, Tethys, the Chief Goddess of Fresh Water and Nursery. Aquarina probably already recognizes this name, right? She’s the Goddess who blessed you,” Shade said, glancing at his daughter.
The shadows took a dark blue color as they showed the appearance of Tethys. She was the last of the six goddesses but no less beautiful. She was a secondary motherhood goddess after Rhea, representing Fresh Water and the life within Rivers, Lakes, and Ponds.
She was the mother of many ocean and freshwater fairies, alongside dozens of Gods. Her motherly beauty was accompanied by a sweet and calming smile, a beautiful body with wide hips that had given birth to many, and a large chest, larger than all the other goddesses.
“Ah right, she is the wife of Oceanus, whom he considered his most beautiful and precious treasure. Oceanus was also a God who blessed you, giving you a double Chief God Blessing like Sylphy, increasing your divine power and talent quite a lot,” Shade smiled.
“Right, how could I ever forget her?” Aquarina sighed. “She was certainly unforgivable, alongside that weird old man…”
“Wow, so many goddesses! This is the first time I can see how they could look like…” Agua said.
“Me too!” Silvia nodded.
“They’re all beautiful, even as just these shadow paintings…” Justicio muttered.
“I wonder if there’s a god of winds or something?” Quetzalcoatl wondered.
“I mean, probably? There’s no way there isn’t any,” Agua said.
“These are only the six chief goddesses. Aside from Themis bitch, they’re often the calmest and kindest. The chief gods, however, are a bit more forceful with their ways,” Nepheline sighed.
She quickly conjured a giant stone slab, and colors began emerging from within as Nepheline manipulated its components to change co lors through mineral growth, multiplication, and alchemy. It was impressive how she could draw on stone with just a thought!
“The six chief gods are as follows…” Nepheline said with a smile.
