Chapter 1759: The Gods 2
—–
“First of all, let’s go back to him. Oceanus, the Chief God of Oceans,” Nepheline said. “He’s the second chief god to have blessed Aquarina, and as you can see in this glorious piece of art I’ve made, he’s a big, manly, bearded old guy. Not my type at all. And I remember Aquarina cried when she first met him in a dream.”
The huge stone slab changed forms, showing Oceanus through carvings and colors produced by natural minerals and crystals. It depicted an old man with a muscular figure and commanding presence. He was strong and seemed even stronger with such an aura. Wearing a white toga, sandals made of gold, and a crown of colorful corals, he held a massive trident. His entire aura emanated the power of oceans and water. His long white beard was accompanied by flashing, bright aquamarine eyes, and he had long, silky blue hair cascading down his body like water.
“Yeah that’s the ugly old man! He was such a creep, acting all close to me like I was his daughter or something! I hope I never see him again EVER!” Aquarina cried angrily.
It seemed to have become a childhood trauma when a gigantic, muscular, half-naked, creepy, old, bearded man called her to his palace briefly.
Her encounter with Tethys was at least nicer, though, so that wasn’t too bad. This often made Aquarina wonder why Tethys was with such an ugly old man.
“He isn’t that ugly. I mean, he’s just an old and experienced-looking man, that’s all, right?” Aguarapida wondered. “To be honest, he’s my type.”
“Eh?!” Aquarina glanced at Agua’s mother with surprise. “W-Wait, you kind of remind me of Tethys, auntie. I see, so motherly women like old men like that too?”
“You say I look like a goddess? Fufu, you’re so nice with your words, Aquarina, thank you so much,” Aguarapida giggled. Aquarina blushed a bit. Her giggle was very cute, especially because it made her large chest bounce a little, which Aquarina sometimes couldn’t keep her eyes away from.
Her love was only for Sylphy, but Aquarina, like any teenager, sometimes couldn’t help but look at others like that. Especially attractive older women, she had a thing for women with mature beauty or big breasts. Sylphy had a very mature personality, was motherly, and had big breasts. This was one of the reasons why she was so perfect for her, and Aquarina often couldn’t wait to see how even more beautiful Sylphy would become once she reached an older age.
“Ahem, as I was saying,” Nepheline interrupted Aquarina’s hormonal train of thought as she quickly averted her gaze from Agua’s mother to avoid looking weird, deciding to continue eating while listening to her mother. “After Oceanus comes this other chief god, Coeus, the Chief God of Conquest and Leadership. He’s the God that blessed me. He loves warriors, battle, and conquest the most. All of his Heroes tend to be big, muscular gladiators. Of course, I hate the guy. He was the one that partially forced me to do a lot of things I regret doing in the war. But he’s also the source of my massive strength boost, which his blessing helped me grow tremendously fast to adapt for the war.”
The stone slab transformed, showcasing colored carvings of a large, muscular old man sitting on a throne of glorious red and golden light, shaped as countless weapons. The carving seemed to depict him looking at his brothers with a smile of confidence and cockiness. His eyes carried a fiery red flame of insanity. He wasn’t particularly graceful and favored war and conflict. His skin was red like fire, and his long brown beard extended to his chest. He was bald and covered with scars all over his body. He usually liked holding large weapons, such as a hammer.
“Mom… And you met him too?” Aquarina asked.
“Of course I did… All of us Heroes have to meet them first,” Nepheline said. “The only thing he always asked me was to slaughter and give him blood offerings while conquering as much land as possible for the ’good of humanity,’ although he mostly wanted to see bloodshed. Despite how insane he might be, his leadership abilities are incredible, and he commands armies of thousands of Divine War Spirits, beings of his own creation carrying the ’War Element,’ a mysterious Element that increases Physical Power and the range of physical and weapon attacks. Its Magic is also rather complicated and not normal at all, not usually present in nature, but created through human conflict instead.”
“W-Woah…” Aquarina was amazed by hearing all these things she had never heard before. “Wait, but your elements don’t quite fit, right? I get the fighting and physical power but…”
“Yeah, the Element of Earth is from his Pantheon as well. He has a variety of Gods, but the vast majority tend to represent the steel, iron, gold, and silver of weapons, forging weapons, making armor or pieces of armor, and of course, derivatives from that too, such as Earth or Stone. Rhea also has Earth Attribute Gods, which happened to bless me cross-pantheon to strengthen me further. Rhea and Coeus seem to have a good relationship, despite being polar opposites, so they tend to exchange Gods,” Nepheline explained.
“S-So who are the gods that blessed you aside from that old man?” Aquarina asked, noticing her sister had finished drinking milk, giving one last lick to her mama’s breast before burping cutely. Then Nepheline covered her breasts with her leather clothes and placed Esmeralda on her shoulders, gently patting her back to let out all the burps she had accumulated.
“Ah, yes, the other two were Tierra, Goddess of Earth, and then Atlas, God of Mountains,” Nepheline explained. “That’s how I got so much Earth Affinity and also immense endurance. Tierra is the strongest goddess of the Earth Element, and Atlas is the physically strongest God of said element too. Well, not like I’m proud of that either. They had little agency in my life, however, but they were still pawns of the other twelve. I don’t really think of them fondly, but I don’t hate them either… It’s just a neutral stance.”
