Nepheline spat a large stone from her mouth before glaring back at the ant while furrowing her eyebrows. “What? Was I supposed to die from that? Hah… HAHAHAHAH!”

The Ant’s face distorted into utter shock. His eyes widened as he glanced at Nepheline, and despair started consuming him…
“You’re far too weak! Hahaha! How could I ever die from that? You’re really delusional.”
“W-WEAK…?! ME…?! NO…! THAT CAN’T BE…! I AM STRONG! THE STRONGEST! I AM MY MOTHER’S STRONGEST CHILD! I AM THE LARGEST, BIGGEST, MOST MUSCULAR!!!”
As he fell into despair, madness took over as he glanced back at his sister, the Saintess of the ants.
“SISTER!!!”
“…”
She squinted before waving her staff as golden flames encompassed his entire body, healing his wounds and rapidly boosting his strength, endurance, agility, everything!

It seemed that the Saintess had blessed him with powerful buffing spells, making him stronger than ever before! Nepheline’s eyebrows rose in surprise as she prepared for battle, summoning her hammer and holding it with both arms.

With an explosion of flames, the ant hero reached Nepheline. His giant blazing fists rushed down, his red exoskeleton now turning almost completely black due to how his body was burning itself to gain even more strength.

Nepheline smiled as she glanced at the incoming attacks. Combined with the ant’s aura, it resembled as if each of his fists was like a gigantic meteor.
How could she possibly intercept that with a single hammer?

Her eyes shone brightly as her aura transformed, fusing into her body and almost completely disappearing in the process.
And then, she stepped forward, facing the meteoric attacks, an infernal onslaught of blows that could tear through all!

She didn’t need to hit him several times, let alone intercept all blows. With a single swing of her hammer upward, with all her strength…

An immense shockwave of pure power engulfed the ant. All of his attacks became futile as his hands exploded into pieces, before the rest of his body was flattened into the wall, which shattered apart and sent him flying out of the nest entirely.
CRAAASH!
“G-GAAAGGGH…?!”
His eyes looked everywhere, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
But at that moment, it felt as if Nepheline’s hammer had destroyed the world entirely, and everything within it.
A single blow of her going “serious” was enough to completely nullify his efforts once more.
“Infernal Onslaught? Don’t go calling such a weak attack like that again.”
And in that moment, as the armless, wounded torso of the ant fell, gravitational forces pulled him back to her as Nepheline smiled.
“Shall we end this?!”
“H-HAVE MERCYYYYYY!!”
The ant screamed, trying to appeal to Nepheline’s compassion as a weak, sentimental human!
However…
“I’m having mercy by killing a pathetic piece of shit like you quickly, you know?”
Her hammer caught his body as he was unable to retaliate or escape.
“UUUAAAGGGHH!”
BOOOMMM!!!
And another hit slammed him, this time at point blank. The shockwave, force, and power of this blow were so strong that the entire sky above cleared, all clouds disappearing.
And of course, his body was disintegrated, with nothing left behind.
His Divine Protection triggered again, though, but the shockwave alone killed him again before he could fully regenerate.
And then, it no longer triggered.
“So he had two revivals, what a cheater…”
Nepheline rested the hammer over her shoulder, realizing she had messed up big time. Her attacks were too destructive, and she didn’t even know where she was.
“I should get back down, hopefully not everything is destroyed…” she sighed. “I wonder how Aquarina and the rest are handling the ants?”
Nepheline jumped down, rushing back to where everyone was.

While Nepheline was fighting her foe, Shade was also fighting his own opponent. A tall, slender, six-armed ant hero wielded a different soul weapon in each of his hands. Unlike Nepheline’s foe, he didn’t specialize in brute force, but in the dexterous use of many weapons, weapon techniques, and the precise use of his Aura, which constantly grew stronger the more he fought and learned how to use his abilities.

Both were almost equally matched, reaching the ceiling while constantly jumping through the empty air, clashing endlessly, resembling a mass of darkness against flames.

With a gentlemanly voice, the six-armed ant hero roared. His blazing weapons, each one a powerful spiritual soul weapon, swung toward Shade at point blank.
A long sword, a scimitar, an axe, a hammer, a polearm, and a halberd attacked Shade all at once, each one unleashing devastating blazing explosions.

Shade remained mostly silent. He usually didn’t speak when he fought on his own, only glancing at the ant… not really. His eyes were somewhere else, staring at Aquarina and the kids fighting.
At all times, he was worried more about them than his own safety. The ant noticed this and provoked him to of his power.
“If you don’t put your entire attention into me, you’ll die!”
His eyes shone brightly as the six-armed ant unleashed a powerful technique, a combination of several weapon techniques at once, unleashing it all against Shade at the same time. Powerful blazing weapons reached him, each blow generating an explosion, even if he evaded them.
