Chapter 1909: A Crazy Plan Of Divine Proportions
—–
I began inspecting the various Divine Materials stored in my inventory, soon discovering some Evil God Fragments from Lolth.
Aside from those, I also possessed several other treasures, including the [Divine False God Sunstone Body Fragments] from Apollo—the False God whose not-so-false Divinity had been forged from the endless torment of souls trapped within his core.
I also uncovered a [Divine False God of Thunder Glass Core Fragment] from Jupiter.
And then there were the items I had set aside for later use, planning to craft something new from them. Their divine power had always made the process feel too complex.
I had considered equipping them, but I preferred wearing gear I crafted myself for the superior bonus stats.
These were Quest Rewards earned after defeating the False Gods.
[Apollo’s Holy Sun Blaze Helmet (S Grade)]
[Sun God’s Divine Ring (S Grade)]
[Divine Thunder Lord’s Ring (S Grade)]
[Divine Thunder Lord’s Heavenly Lightning Spear (SS Grade)]
Yes, I owned a Heavenly Lightning Spear. An incredible weapon, without doubt. Yet whenever I wielded it, my sword grew jealous, so it had remained unused in storage all this time.
What if I simply melted everything down and used them as core ingredients for the cauldron? They would perfectly embody the fire and thunder aspects of my divinity.
The System had once again provided the solution I needed.
I also had items obtained from defeating Arachne and her powerful subordinate—that giant insect woman with the complicated name I could barely recall.
[Insectoid Queen’s Vampiric Soul Spear (S Grade)]
[Insectoid Queen’s Demonic Armor (S Grade)]
[Evil Spider Queen’s Void-Piercing Spear: Ginnungagap (SS Grade)]
The first two only contained True Demon power and appeared slightly damaged, as I had already taken pieces to craft other items.
Yet that menacing void spear remained untouched. I had once considered feeding it to my sword, but it felt like too much.
“Does Ginnungagap hold any divine power?” I wondered aloud.
“I sense darkness within this wicked spear, yes,” Alice confirmed with a nod. “Do you intend to use it as material? I highly recommend it. It seems perfectly suited for your cauldron.”
“Truly? What about the other spear and the armor?” I asked.
“Hmm, include them as well,” Alice replied. “You plan to cultivate Demonic Power too, correct? Adding a True Demon aspect to the cauldron could prove useful.”
“Alright,” I agreed with a nod. “An All-Heaven Cauldron infused with demonic items sounds strange, but you’re the expert here, Alice. I’ll follow your guidance.”
“I’m not your boss,” Alice laughed softly. “But I’m grateful for your trust.”
“Hmm, Sylphy, aren’t you forgetting something else?” Yggdra asked, peering into my inventory. “Deep inside, there are still some valuable items.”
“Wait, what? From where?” I frowned.
“The Spirit Goddess you defeated not long ago—the one threatening Aquarina,” Alice explained. “Do you remember?”
“Oh, the ant!” I exclaimed. “Did I take something from her? I don’t recall…”
“You did,” Yggdra said in quiet awe. “Her entire corpse is here.”
“What?! But I obliterated her—she was gone!” I protested.
“I remember that too,” Alice said, examining the remains. “Yet here it is, seemingly intact. Glutton must be responsible. He’s closely tied to your soul through the Inventory, an extension of the System. The instant you killed her; he likely stored every particle and reassembled her inside.”
“You can do that?!” I turned to Glutton, who tilted his eyeless form curiously. The gesture somehow looked endearing.
“It appears he can,” Alice continued. “Though he may not understand how, so replicating it won’t be simple. Still, this corpse belongs to Armageddon in her weakest form. It radiates divine power, making it ideal material.”
“Hmm, yes, we could use it,” I nodded slowly. “Is the body truly complete? I consumed her divine soul. I wonder if there’s anything I can do for her.”
“…What do you mean?” Yggdra asked gently.
“I don’t know. I just feel a little guilty,” I admitted. “But if her body is whole… No, perhaps it’s better as material. I’m torn.”
“What are you thinking? Tell us,” Alice urged.
“I had a wild idea,” I confessed. “Maybe I could split off a fragment of my soul, implant it into Armageddon’s intact body, and revive her as a Familiar. It might be an improved version of how I gained Beelzebub and Ignatius. Since I devoured her, I can sense her Divine Soul gathering somewhere within mine.”
“Are you insane?! She was an evil goddess!” Alice cried. “Anna, I agree with most of your plans, but this is dangerous!”
“Hm, the girl has a pure heart,” Yggdra smiled warmly. “Let her try. It’s what she wants, and honestly, I doubt we can dissuade her now. Look at her expression.”
“Ugh, Anna…” Alice sighed in defeat.
“If I gain an actual goddess as a Familiar, my cultivation will accelerate tremendously,” I pressed. “I realized this past week that at my current pace, reaching the next realm alone could take a thousand years.”
“T-That long?” Alice whispered, startled.
“Yes,” I confirmed. “I’ll keep growing in other areas, of course. But divinity? I’ve already surpassed even my parents. Yet it expands so slowly. Armageddon found a shortcut to rapid divine growth.”
“By sacrificing millions of children…” Alice muttered darkly.
“Exactly,” I nodded. “So imagine if I revive her…”
“Ugh…” Alice grimaced. “Sylphy…”
“I also overheard something,” I added. “Khepri was Armageddon’s friend. She grieved having to kill her. What if I offer a second chance at redemption? I’ve given worse beings second chances—like Beelzebub.”
“True enough…” Yggdra chuckled softly.
“Hey, what’s this? Someone mentioning the Big B?” Beelzebub buzzed into view, circling playfully.
“Big B? Hah!” Ignatius roared with laughter. “Hey, Anna, when are we getting those Dragon Materials? I’m ready to evolve!”
“I know! Soon,” I promised. “I plan to enter the highest-ranking dungeon in these mountains—the Dragon’s Tomb. Dragon-type monsters spawn there, and we’ll hunt plenty. If luck favors us, we might even claim remnants from the dragon they buried.”
“Oho! So that was your scheme all along! Hahaha! I underestimated you, Anna—you’re a genius!” Ignatius bellowed, tension forgotten.
“Alright, step aside,” I declared. “I’m going to revive a goddess right now.”
“You’re going to what?!” Ignatius gasped as I stepped into my Dungeon.
