Chapter 1965: Max Level Little Demon
—–
“ROOOAAARRRR!”
The giant werewolf bellowed, suddenly sprouting massive blades from its claws and unleashing sweeping sword attacks. Waves of slashing energy struck me from every direction.
I swiftly countered with a Sword Dance using my Yggdragon Double Aura, healing myself while igniting everything around me in flames.
But it wasn’t enough!
I had to keep refining my techniques and pushing them to evolve.
Raw power alone means nothing if I can’t wield it effectively.
“Holy Blazing Dragon Blade Arts!”
“Third Form – Heavenly Dragon Ascent!!!”
Roaring, I overlapped my core elements—Holy Light, Fire, and Thunder—and swung my sword upward. The strike sliced through the monster’s blade-like claws as a towering pillar of light erupted from my attack, channeled directly from Scarlet herself.
“HAAAAHHH!”
I pressed forward with all my might, carving deep into the creature’s chest and leaving a massive, gaping wound. The blow damaged its Miasmic Heart, sending cracks spiderwebbing across it.
“GRAAAAHHH!”
The monster retaliated in rage, jaws wide as it lunged to clamp down on my entire body.
CLAAANK!
Instead of piercing scales or flesh, its teeth met a gleaming golden armor that materialized around me, fusing seamlessly with my skin and scales.
This was my Holy Divine Thunder Armament Creation—a skill I had trained diligently for years until it became second nature. I was beginning to integrate it fully into my body.
Soon I would discover a Cultivation Method to assimilate it completely, allowing constant defense and greatly enhanced durability.
ZAAAP! ZAAAP! ZAAAP!
“GYAAAAAEEEERRRGGHHHH!”
The twenty-meter-tall werewolf shrieked in agony, staggering back and clutching its scorched face. The moment it tried to bite through my golden armor, divine lightning had surged into its maw.
“I’m not someone you can chew, little puppy! Now come at me!”
I kicked off the air and unleashed a relentless barrage of destructive slashes, channeling the Holy Divine Thunder Armament Creation into both Sapphire and Scarlet. My sword and shield transformed into radiant golden forms crackling with divine thunder.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
The werewolf couldn’t keep up with my enhanced speed. The lightweight armor boosted my agility dramatically, letting me move like living lightning.
My strikes rained down without pause, spreading crackling electricity through its body and further fracturing its armored hide.
At the same time, I kept firing concentrated waves of sword energy straight into the gaping wound on its chest.
Until finally…
“HAAAAH!”
“GRAAAAARRRRGGH!”
As it swung its claws wildly, spewing a massive miasma explosion from its maw and hurling icicles at me, I supercharged myself with divine thunder. My Divine Aura flared to life, wrapping me completely.
TRUUUM!
Like a Thunder Dragon incarnate, I pierced straight through the onslaught, reached the monster’s wound, and drove Scarlet deep into its heart core—flooding it with countless swords of pure divine light.
One last time!
“Holy Blazing Dragon Blade Arts!”
“Third Form – Heavenly Dragon Ascent!!!”
“ROOOAAARRR!”
A thunderous dragon’s roar echoed as a colossal dragon erupted from my sword strike. It tore the gigantic werewolf in half, blood and entrails spraying everywhere while its corrupted heart shattered completely.
BOOOMMM!!!
The tremendous explosion from my attack obliterated every nearby monster foolish enough to approach, disintegrating them into waves of purifying light.
I swept my hand, clearing the smoke. Monster corpses littered the ground in every direction.
“Alright, Glutton, time to eat!”
“Graaawrr!”
Gluttony sprang into action, devouring everything in his path. He swallowed enormous corpses whole and licked the blood-soaked floor clean.
Five minutes later he returned, having consumed it all—still ravenous thanks to his bottomless stomach.
“That was incredible, Sylphy! You’ve definitely grown much stronger,” Nephilim said. “It’s like you’re a completely different person now, haha.”
“R-Really?” I asked. “I don’t know… I feel like I’m still the same as always!”
Ding!

[Yes] [No]
“Oh wow! So many of you are nearing max level already…” I said. “Watching you all level up almost feels like I’m leveling too—even though I can’t.”
“That’s because as your Soul-Bound Familiars, a portion of the power we gain with each level flows to you,” Yggdra explained.
“Plus you can freely use all our Skills through Spirit Bond,” Ignatius added. “So even if you can’t level directly, when we grow stronger it’s basically the same as you getting stronger too! …Though I’m still stuck at Level 50! When will I finally get the chance to evolve and keep leveling?!”
“Patience,” I sighed. “We’ll get there once we reach the Dragon Tomb and find proper True Dragon Materials for you. Regular monster dragons won’t cut it—we already tried, and you said they were disgusting and would only dilute your bloodline.”
The real reason he hadn’t evolved yet was his own stubborn pride. We had tested dragon-type monsters before; they worked perfectly fine, but he refused, insisting they were unworthy and would weaken his already diminished Dragon Spirit bloodline.
“Yeah, you’re not evolving because you don’t want to, Ignatius,” Alice scolded. “It’s completely your fault!”
“W-What?!” Ignatius sputtered. “It’s not! It’s not my fault! Damn it…! I just don’t want to grow weaker when I evolve! Like Beelzebub, who turned into a moth.”
“HAH?! I didn’t have a choice—Sylphy wouldn’t let me become a bigger fly!” Beelzebub snapped.
“Well, you became a majestic poisonous darkness moth,” I said. “And that’s way better! Much more pleasing to look at.”
“Are you saying we Flykin are disgusting?!” he cried indignantly.
“What? No!” I protested. “I’m just saying you’re my Spirit now, and I decide your fate! Remember, you were a pretty evil guy back then—this is part of your punishment.”
“Uuugghh…” Beelzebub groaned, clicking his mandibles in frustration.
“Anyway, Red, come here!” I called.
