Chapter 1980: Scarlet’s Divine Evolution
—–
I decided to analyze the ring’s ability, equipping it to test its power. “What? Summoning?” I wondered. I tried summoning more, discovering I could call up to thirty of them. They were quite weak, though, likely to be crushed effortlessly by the monsters here. Still, it was intriguing. I would use them as materials, one for each, and see how they might influence the result.
Using Armageddon’s materials alongside my own, I began the ritual immediately. I expanded my Alchemy Domain and drew out my Forging Hammer, merging Alchemy and Blacksmithing into the ultimate fusion of crafts to elevate my living weapons.
Ignatius and Armageddon assisted by forging a massive furnace. The metals melted and refined into ingots, then those ingots melted again and poured into the cauldron—Violet—while I added dozens of new ingredients. Everything I could think of went in, including Armageddon’s precious gifts.
The other spirits resonated with my Alchemical Aura, merging into it and infusing it with their magic and spiritual power. Elemental forces surged as my Alchemy unleashed every technique I had mastered: Synthesis, Extraction, Metamorphosis, Shapeforge, Fusion, and more. I wove the ingredients with precision while Violet expanded her size, transforming into an enormous cauldron for me.
Yes, at her current level and form, her true size was colossal, but she usually kept herself small. That restraint was no longer necessary!
FLUOSH!
After tireless work, a vast pool of countless ingredients boiled and fused into a stew brimming with immense spiritual and divine power.
“Alright, Scarlet, come here.”
She flew to my side. I placed her into the cauldron; her entire body glowed as the evolution began. She absorbed all the materials, soaking constantly in the alchemical liquid.
I poured soul orbs and spirit orbs in a steady stream. Eventually, as she absorbed everything and shone brighter, I lifted her out with my Alchemy Aura. With my hammer, I started reshaping her very being.
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK!
Drawing on techniques learned from Ruby and my Master, I swiftly transformed her into something entirely new. Midway through, I incorporated the weapons I had obtained: the shapeshifting one went first, followed by spears, hammers, swords, and one of the rings. Next came half the dryad’s heart. Armageddon’s divine-realm materials had already soaked into her; I shaped them properly. Only the liquid metals remained.
She glowed intensely with blue and red light, devouring the sacrificed equipment, spirit orbs, and soul orbs. Finally, I submerged her beneath all the molten metals and let her absorb them. Her radiance grew blinding.
“Almost there…!”
I combined Shapeforge and Synthesis relentlessly, forging her to her absolute limit. Then I added my own blood, Divine Thunder Artifacts, dragon scales, horn, fangs, and claws.
As everything burned and boiled to its peak intensity, the final challenge emerged. From her aura, a colossal Alchemy Spirit took form.
“ROOAAARR!”
It looked like a titanic dragon of ice and fire, roaring ferociously with dozens of heads, countless arms, and writhing tails. It charged straight at me.
I smiled and manifested my Yggdragon Quintuple Aura alongside my Heavenly Thunder Divine Domain and Divine Void Star Dragon Aura Domain. Spiritual dragons collided in fury; massive beams of elemental energy slammed together; razor-sharp fangs tore into one another.
I thrust my hand forward, channeling the Flames of Strength, and unleashed a gigantic blazing palm strike. It crashed into the monster with devastating force, detonating it into pure fire.
BOOOMMM!!!
The enormous explosion engulfed the creature. The lingering energy poured into Scarlet, pushing her toward the final stage.
At long last!
FLASH!
She blazed with light, floating majestically in midair. I stared at her transformed body: gold, red, and blue, studded with rainbow jewels. She remained a massive greatsword yet felt noticeably lighter—more polished, more “divine”—while radiating curses and sharing an aura strikingly similar to Nephilim’s.
Her hilt had lengthened, shaped like dragon wings. The overall form and presence had grown far more majestic, leaving me speechless as she settled gently into my arms.
“Sylphy, thank you for letting me reach this level. From now on, we’ll climb to new heights together.”
“Huh? What do you mean—Woah?!”
FLUOSH!
An overwhelming surge of power erupted from her—Divinity.
Yes, it wasn’t mere residual divine energy. She had awakened her own true Divinity!
“A-A True Divine Weapon…!” Armageddon burst into laughter. “Not even I have forged one yet! Hahaha! Hahahaha! You’re a genuine monster, ’master’! I’m honored to stand by your side. Let’s slaughter the gods together!”
As Armageddon laughed wildly, I cradled Scarlet in awe. She emanated Divinity—young and still developing, yet undeniably real, the same as mine.
“Is this because of our bond?” I asked softly.
“Indeed. I’ve been with you since you were a small child, remember? I was your very first sword,” she chuckled warmly. “Forged from a fragment of Ignatius’s dragon heart, crafted by Master Felicia, and gifted to you on your birthday. We’ve cut down countless enemies together. None of that went unnoticed. The Plane of Fate and the Plane of Soul resonate within me now. Our shared story—me as your sword, you as my wielder—has forged this Divinity.”
“Scarlet!” Tears welled up, and I let them fall, hugging her tightly even though she was heavy and sharper than ever. “I’m so happy to witness this moment!”
Her aura was overwhelming, warping space itself. It resembled an endless ocean of golden, red, and blue flames that danced wildly, sometimes coiling into giant serpentine dragons. Thunder crackled through it; darkness, curses, and ice swirled; rainbow flames flared and surged.
It was majestic. It was breathtaking. It was perfect.
Ding!
