Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1223: Accidental discovery
Chapter 1223 Accidental discovery
It didn’t take long after the deal was made that the Tide Empire started sending the materials that we needed.
With the increased order of Glowing Seaweed that we received from the Merman Empire, it was very easy for us to create the lube that they needed. Especially since the factories that I had made in the capital were already producing much more than necessary.
Even if they were to increase their orders, we wouldn’t have a problem selling all of this lube.
Not to mention that the Tide Empire paid in gold, so our kingdom was now flush with cash.
The prime minister and the chancellor seemed very happy when I saw them since the treasury of the kingdom was growing. That meant that they would have more money to budget for all the various things that were needed across the kingdom.
It was a time of rapid growth for us since we had swallowed up the four other kingdoms that had been around us previously.
This money went a long way for us to develop.
This was very rare since all of the other countries were currently stagnant because of the situation with the demons.
They were all wary of us since we were the one country that was growing while they were stagnant. They were afraid that we would conquer them when the situation with the demons was over.
They weren’t afraid that we would do anything while the war with the demons was still ongoing since all human conflicts were forbidden by the leaders of the human race. But after the war with the demons was over…
None of these countries knew the real situation where even the four empires struggled to deal with the demons.
All of them believed that with the power of the four empires, they would deal with the demon race sooner or later.
During this time, the four delegations from the four empires were still in our Kite Kingdom. They had been touring around the different important locations of our Kite Kingdom, seeing just where the power of our Kite Kingdom came from.
But their real goal was to put pressure on us to send our troops out as soon as possible.
Both the prime minister and the chancellor did what they could to stall this, but as our troops recovered and even became stronger, it was harder and harder for them.
During this time, Puffer discovered something that she had to show me.
“What is it?” I asked her as she dragged me to her lab.
Only Puffer didn’t seem like she was interested in explaining as she continued dragging me to the lab.
When we arrived, she picked up something that she placed in front of my face with an excited look on her face as she said, “Do you see this? I never thought that this thing would have such an amazing ability!”
I was very confused by her actions, but I looked at the thing that she thrust in my face.
When I looked at it carefully, I saw that it was the orb that the demons had dropped after they were defeated. But at the same time, it was different from the orbs that were empty that I gave her.
In the center of this orb was this blue thing.
I couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but based on the orbs that I have seen before which had the black thing inside of it…
“You’ve found a way to put mana into this orb?” I asked Puffer as she held this orb in front of me.
She looked at me with a surprised look when she heard this before narrowing her eyes to ask, “You already know the results?”
I shook my head with a bitter smile before saying, “It’s just a guess based on my observations.”
She didn’t stop glaring at me with those narrowed eyes.
The way that she looked at me was as if she was suspicious that I had been hiding something from her. Something that would have made her research much easier since it seemed like I knew what she had done.
But I really didn’t know anything about this thing.
I had only guessed because of how the demons had used these orbs before.
After a long silence, Puffer said with a slow nod, “That’s right, I figured out a way to inject mana into this orb and store it. It wasn’t actually that hard since this orb even seemed like it was greedy for mana, so it was quite easy to inject my mana into it.”
Then after a pause, she added, “But that isn’t the most amazing thing.”
She took the orb from my hand and walked over to the side where there were a few test dummies placed there.
I was confused why she had set up test dummies like this, but I soon understood why she did it.
Puffer raised the orb in her hand and there was a flash of green light that came from it before ice was suddenly released.
The ice took the form of icicles and shot right out at the test dummies that had been set up.
The icicles pierced right through the test dummies and even froze a part of it.
When she was done with her demonstration, Puffer said with a proud look, “This thing can actually allow others to draw on the mana inside of the orb and then release it to cast spells. It’s very efficient in how it stores mana, so it can store and release mana without any delays. This kind of thing has never been seen before.”
There were other things that could store mana, but nothing was as efficient as this.
“How did you discover this?” I asked her after looking at the orb for a bit.
An awkward look appeared on Puffer’s face when she heard this question, but she still said, “It was an accident. I spilled one of my potions on the test orbs and it absorbed the mana from that potion.”
