Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1225: Imbuing elements (2)
Chapter 1225: Imbuing elements (2)
“This is the test subject you have for me?” Puffer asked in a strange voice.
I just gave a simple nod in response with a serious look on my face.
I could tell that she wasn’t satisfied with the test subject that I brought. I could tell that she wanted me to change this test subject.
Only I didn’t react the way that she wanted.
I just calmly waited for her to speak again.
After a long silence, Puffer finally said with a sigh, “Don’t blame me if this doesn’t work. After all, this thing isn’t even a living thing, so I don’t know if it will even be able to accept the elemental energy.”
I had the same calm look on my face as I said, “I can’t give you living test subjects, so this is the best that I can do. Regardless of what happens, this is the best that I can do.”
Seeing the look on her face, I added, “As if you aren’t interested in what will happen. You can’t fool me with this act.”
Puffer’s expression didn’t change, but she slightly looked away after I said this.
This showed that I had hit the nail on the head.
Even though she was complaining, she was someone that had a curious mind in the first place or else she wouldn’t have done all of this research. It was only natural that she would be curious about the results of this experiment that had never been done before.
So I didn’t say anything else as I waited for Puffer to do what she needed to do.
Puffer finally went forward towards the test subjects in the cage.
There were three test subjects that had been gathered.
All three of them were standing in a daze as if they didn’t have a single thought in their minds, but that was because they really didn’t have a single thought in their minds.
The three of them were undead, so it wasn’t as if they had any thoughts.
They didn’t even have a will of their own.
It was a zombie, a skeleton, and a hobgoblin that had been gathered here.
The zombie and the skeleton were the most basic indeed that could have been chosen, so they were the best choices to put in this experiment.
The hobgoblin was different since it was a higher tier undead that I didn’t even understand. Still, it was interesting to see how the orb would affect this hobgoblin.
The most important thing was that I could destroy the three of them with a single thought.
If anything went wrong, I would immediately destroy them without any hesitation.
That was why they were the perfect test subjects.
The first one that Puffer tested on was the zombie.
As soon as she put the orb inside of the zombie, there was a faint blue light that appeared around it.
It didn’t seem like the zombie was reacting the same way as the rat when the orb was put into
it.
It was as if the zombie didn’t even notice that this orb had been placed inside of it.
Seeing this, Puffer turned around to say, “Can you feel anything?”
She knew that I was the one that controlled the zombie, so if anything happened, I should be the first one that sensed anything.
But I really didn’t feel anything from the zombie.
There wasn’t anything that I could say since there was no sensation that was coming from the zombie.
Then before I could even say anything, there was something that started happening to the zombie.
The moisture in the air around the zombie started to freeze.
It suddenly started to form ice around the zombie, as if it couldn’t be controlled. It was as if there was some kind of outside force that was creating the ice around the zombie.
Puffer turned to look at me again to ask, “Is this you?”
I slowly shook my head while keeping my eyes on the zombie.
In no time at all, the zombie completely froze.
The way that it froze was as if it had frozen from the inside out. It seemed like there was something that was inside of the zombie that froze it before spreading out around the zombie.
But in the end, that freezing suddenly stopped as if it had run out of energy.
At the same time, I could feel that my connection with the zombie was cut.
So I simply had the hobgoblin punch the zombie, which caused it to shatter like an ice sculpture.
The power of the orb had completely frozen the zombie, so it was actually turned into an ice sculpture. Only the power of the ice elemental energy was much greater than normal freezing cold, which caused the zombie to freeze from the inside out.
After the zombie was shattered, the orb fell from the center of the zombie and seemed to revert back to its inert state.
“That’s a failure.” Puffer said as she went forward to pick up the orb.
I just gave a simple nod without saying anything.
My eyes were still on the zombie, as I looked closely at its remains trying to figure out what went wrong.
The only thing that I could see was that the zombie wasn’t strong enough to contain the power that was contained in the orb, that was why it had frozen from the inside out like that.
In that case, the best thing to do was…
“Not that one. Do it with the hobgoblin.” I suddenly said to Puffer.
She looked back at me with a surprised look since she had been planning to put the orb into the skeleton. She didn’t follow my orders at first as she looked at me as if she was waiting for me to explain, but I didn’t say a single thing.
In the end, she turned to the hobgoblin and put the orb into the hobgoblin instead.
There was no resistance at all as the orb entered the hobgoblin and there was a faint layer of blue light that appeared around it, just like with the zombie.
