Seeing that no one gave a response to what he said, the figure said, “What? Are you in awe at the power of this divine artifact? That isn’t strange since it’s from the God of Creation. This is a divine artifact that’s on a completely different level.”

The tone of his voice was as if he was really proud of everything that he had done.

At the same time, it really seemed like he believed that the thing that he was holding was related to the God of Creation.

This was a level of delusion that really was hard to believe.

Anyone that was this deluded was either crazy or…

“It seems like he’s being controlled.” I stated the obvious as everyone seemed to be thinking the same with the looks on their faces.

“How do we save him?” The eldest gnome asked.

I couldn’t help raising a brow as I looked at the eldest gnome before saying, “You still want to save him?”

There was a complicated look that was on the eldest gnome’s face, but he slowly gave a nod in response without saying anything.

I couldn’t help looking at him with the same doubtful look, but…it wasn’t as if what he was proposing was wrong. At the very least, we had to take care of this gnome to take care of the corruption energy that was around us.

Whatever he was calling the divine artifact of the God of Creation was without a doubt the thing that had been used to release all of this corruption energy.

That meant that we had to take care of this divine artifact, or we wouldn’t be able to do anything to all the corruption energy and the strange creatures around us.

The only problem was that we didn’t know what he meant by the divine artifact.

We couldn’t actually see his true appearance since he was covered in that layer of dark energy. Even if he had been holding something up to show us, it wasn’t as if we were able to see it.

It really seemed like the dark energy was doing all that it could to hide this “divine artifact” from us.

This dark energy was the thing that had been hiding everything about this figure from us. It wouldn’t be strange if it was also hiding the “divine artifact” since it was most likely what the dark energy came from.

It wouldn’t just reveal its source so we could take care of it.

Either way, it was dangerous to let the son of the Council Speaker continue like this, so we had to take care of it as soon as possible.

Thinking about it, I realized that there was one thing that I hadn’t tried before.

I put my hand on Joan’s head to her confusion, but she still went along with what I was doing. Especially when there was a light that came from inside of me that flowed into her.

The moment that this light flowed into Joan, her eyes opened wide as if she was shocked by something. However, it didn’t take long for Joan to get used to this light that flowed into her.

She even seemed like she was able to control it as she directed it into her mouth.

It was the same way that Joan channeled the divine energy from the Mark of God into her flames.

That was because this light was actually similar to the divine energy that she got from the Mark of God, it was just that it came from a different source.

That source was me.

This was the divine energy that had appeared inside of me after that encounter with the God of Creation.

In addition to this, the Mark of God also appeared on Joan’s forehead and started providing divine energy to her.

With the two of them mixing together like this, it didn’t take long for Joan to finish gathering her power and she released it in one single breath.

This flame breath was much bigger and brighter than anything that she had released before.

It was large enough that it seemed like it would swallow all of the big strange creatures that were in front of us. But of course, it wasn’t as if the figure on the big strange creatures would allow such a thing to happen.

“You dare!”

As soon as that figure said this, they immediately raised their hand and a large wall of corruption energy appeared again. This was the same wall that had blocked the spears that Moon and I had shot at the big strange creatures.

It didn’t seem like Joan’s flame breath would have an effect, but the moment that it made contact…

“What is this?!” The figure shouted out in shock before he was actually consumed by flames.

The wall of corruption energy hadn’t been able to stop the flame breath for a second.

It was instantly swallowed by the flame breath and purified.

When the flames let up, there were the remains of the big strange creatures that were left.

They didn’t seem like they were alive anymore as they were now half their original size and didn’t even have any traces of the shape that they had previously. It was clear that the flame breath had purified many parts of them, which should mean that they were dead.

All that was left was a mass of corruption energy that represented the parts of their bodies that hadn’t been purified.

That and a black ball.

When the flame breath let up, that black ball suddenly opened up and revealed that figure covered in the dark energy. Only there was a part of that figure that seemed to have been cleaned up as well.

The flame breath had hit the figure and had ripped away a part of the dark energy covering it.

Once the dark energy had been ripped off, it revealed the figure that was underneath.

This was the figure of a gnome and it should be the one that was being controlled by the dark energy.
