A bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this.

After all, there was this taunting tone to this voice that really seemed to be directed to me.

When I looked up, I found that there was another video that appeared above me and it was the same kind looking old man as before.

Only the way that he was looking at me now really made it seem like he was taunting me.

I kept telling myself that I was mistaken, but…

“If you really thought that we would be this dumb, then you’re looking down on us.”

“No one would be crazy enough to put it in such an obvious place.”

“You really aren’t using your brain at all.”

The words that this kind looking old man said really were provocative. It was almost as if he was trying to pick a fight with whoever was listening to them and at this moment, that person was me.

I did my best to keep my calm, but it really was hard with the way that he relentlessly provoked me.

It took a while, but the kind looking old man finally stopped after relentlessly saying these insults for over fifteen minutes. Once he was done, the tone of his voice changed again.

“Since you’ve been patient enough to listen through all of this, it should mean that you’re not one of those fools that follow the God of Destruction. It should mean that you were the one sent by our goddess to retrieve the Relic of Destruction.”

I didn’t say anything, I just looked at him with a very strange look on my face as I waited for him to keep speaking.

After a long pause, the kind looking old man said, “Well, like I said before, we obviously wouldn’t keep the Relic of Destruction in such an obvious place.”

There was another long pause that came out from him, almost as if he was doing it on purpose.

My lips couldn’t help twitching when I saw him acting this way…but I held it in in the end.

“It’s in the basement. We kept it in the most secure and fortified position.” The kind looking old man said after stalling for another ten minutes.

Once he said this, there was a door that actually opened beside the throne that this video was coming from. With the way that the skeleton sat on the throne, it was almost as if he was pointing at the door.

I had thought that the skeleton on the throne looked strange when I first came in, but without knowing that this door was here, it wasn’t as if I knew why the skeleton was in that position.

Once again, I couldn’t help shaking my head with a bitter smile when I saw all of this.

It took him that long just to say all of this…

I knew that this was most likely their way of stalling for time if it was an enemy that was here, but that didn’t mean that it didn’t get on my nerves.

I looked at the door with a trace of hesitation in my eyes, but I eventually walked through.

It wasn’t as if I knew a better way, so I could only take this risk.

The moment that I stepped in, I found that there was no ground in front of me.

When I looked down, I saw that it was a slide that was basically a straight drop down. It was almost like a 90 degree drop with how steep it was, so I couldn’t even see what was ahead of me.

After falling for a bit, I was finally able to see that there was a stone floor that was waiting for me thanks to the torches that were around. However, it really seemed like I was going too fast and it seemed like I was going to slam into the ground.

Seeing this, I had no other choice but to pull out the Staff of Earth to create small flaps behind me that started dragging me down. With these flaps creating drag, I was able to slow down enough that I didn’t crash into the floor beneath me.

If I had, there was no doubt that I would have shattered most of the bones in my legs.

But that didn’t mean that I had any idea of where I was.

This seemed to be a normal room made of stones that didn’t have a single thing.

It really seemed like this was some kind of prison room that had been set up to trap whoever took this door.

But once again, there was a voice that rang out, “The Relic of Destruction is sealed just ahead. I’m sorry for the sudden drop, it was just the fastest way to come down here.”

The moment that I heard this, there was this irritated feeling that filled me.

It really didn’t sound like there was a trace of remorse in this voice for dropping me down like that.

Only it wasn’t as if I could punch the screen that was in front of me.

After he said this, the kind looking old man said, “The way forward will open now. Just follow this path and you’ll reach the place where the Relic of Destruction is stored.”

As soon as his voice fell, there was a door that opened in front of me.

But with the way that this room looked, it really seemed like this was a door that was leading to some kind of trap instead of the Relic of Destruction like he said.

The more that I saw, the more that my instincts told me to leave this place.

It really seemed like there was nothing good about this place…

But where else was I supposed to go?

So in the end, I took the path that had been offered to me.

Right as soon as I walked through, there was a clicking sound that came from under me.

Then there was a spear that suddenly flew out at me.
