Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1610: Another wedding (7)

Chapter 1610: Another wedding (7)
With that interruption, it was only natural that the banquet would come to an end.
It wasn’t as if people would still be in the mood to have a banquet after the mood of the banquet was ruined by that one drunken prince.
At the same time, there were people that were planning to do some things behind the scenes.
After all, the drunken prince had offended someone quite influential.
If they were to take care of this drunken prince or even the kingdom behind him, then it could be considered a favour to the ones that they offended. As such, there were people that wanted to use this chance to climb the ladder.
But none of that actually mattered to me since I was being dragged away by Aisha.
After she looped her hands around my arms, it didn’t seem like she was planning to let go.
So during the rest of the banquet, I was just being dragged around by her.
I looked at some people for help, but it seemed like they were completely ignoring me.
There were even some of them that urged me to keep this up to help Aisha after her predicament. Though I knew that she wasn’t in any kind of predicament since she would have been able to easily take care of that drunk prince herself.
So in the end, I had no choice but to walk around with her for a bit.
When we left the banquet hall, I was about to take my arm away from her.
However, I didn’t get the chance to do this as Aisha suddenly let go of my arm on her own to my surprise. Even though she had been tightly clinging to my arm before this, she seemed to let go as if she didn’t care at all.
With the way that she suddenly let go like this, it really seemed like she had been just playing a prank on me the entire time…
But before she left, Aisha said, “Thank you for stepping forward to help me. I was really happy to see that you cared.”
I couldn’t help being caught off guard, but it wasn’t her beauty that had caught her off guard.
This was a sincere show of gratitude, one that actually confused me.
After all, it didn’t seem like there was a need for such a thing between us considering the relationship that we had.
But for some strange reason…my heart couldn’t help skipping a bit as well when I saw her like this.
Then before I could even come back to my senses, she said, “I’ll see you soon. You won’t be able to escape.”
A trace of bitterness appeared on my face when I heard this, but there wasn’t anything that I could say as she was already gone.
It was clear that Aisha was planning something, only…I had no idea just what she was planning…
“I hope that whatever she’s planning, it won’t mess with the wedding.”
How I wished I could swallow those words later.
…
The next morning, I found that there was a guest that actually left before the wedding even started.
This guest was the father of the drunken prince from last night.
Though it was said that he had left because he didn’t have to face to face anyone after what happened last night, the truth of the matter was that he was scared to remain here any longer.
After all, there was no telling what would happen if he were to stay here after that incident.
It was clear that people were trying to please the ones that had been offended by the prince, so they would take some drastic measures during this time.
If he remained here, the only thing that he would be doing is putting himself in danger.
But there was one specific thing that was announced.
The prince had lost his title as prince and had been kicked out of the royal family.
He had even been left behind by the king as a sort of scapegoat for these people to use their plots on.
And since the king had left, it didn’t actually take long for that prince to disappear.
“What will you do with him?” I asked the prime minister who reported this to me.
“Well, who knows? Perhaps we’ll find a use for him later, but for now…let’s just keep him until he has that use.” The prime minister said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
I knew that it was better not to ask too many questions when he was like this, so I simply said, “Alright, do whatever you want with him.”
The prime minister gave a simple nod in response before suddenly changing the topic, “So are you ready?”
As he said this, he looked down at the suit that I was wearing.
The two of us were currently in the dressing room where I was changing into the suit for the wedding.
Since we had some time, he chose to report this matter to me.
But I could also see that he was doing this because he wanted to help me with my nerves.
“I’ve already gotten married once, haven’t I? Do you really think that I’ll be worried now that I’m going through with my second wedding?”
The prime minister just shook his head before saying with a sigh, “Most people don’t even get to talk about a first wedding and here you are talking about a second wedding. Don’t you think that this is a good way to be hated by others?”
“Whose fault do you think it is?” I said while glaring at him.
“Whose fault could it be other than your own? You’re the one that attracted them into wanting to marry you.” He said with a teasing smile on his face.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a bitter smile, but I knew better than to keep talking to him about this.
All he could do was keep teasing me.
Though I had to admit, he did have his way of calming me down.
