The saintess looked surprised by this before saying while shaking her head, “No, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them?”

After knitting her brows, she asked, “Do you think there’s something wrong with your daughters?”

The way that she looked at me made it clear that she had her suspicions, but I didn’t tell her anything.

These were my daughters, it wasn’t as if I would actually talk about them like this with someone else.

The only reason that I had asked the saintess this was to see if she knew anything about this.

The Holy Empire was one of the few places that had information on demigods and since my daughters had my divine energy in them, I already guessed that they would be close to demigods.

So I was hoping that the saintess might know something about this.

But her reaction made it clear that she didn’t even know that my daughters had divine energy inside of them. It seemed that she just couldn’t sense the divine energy that my daughters possessed.

I didn’t know why this was the case, but it wasn’t as if this was a bad thing.

At least this meant that even the Holy Empire wouldn’t know that my daughters were demigods. At least this meant that they wouldn’t be dragged into the war just because they were demigods.

There was no parent that wanted to send their child to the battlefield after all.

As I was thinking about this, the next visitor arrived.

To my surprise, it was actually the prime minister and the chancellor.

When they called out to me, I could see from the looks on their faces that there was something that they wanted from me. Or specifically, it seemed like there was something that they were handling that only I would be able to take care of for them.

We had known each other long enough that I was able to tell just from looking at them.

“It’s like this…” The prime minister hesitated for a bit before saying, “There are some guests that require your attention.”

I couldn’t help raising a brow when I heard this.

They said that there were guests that required my attention, which meant that they had to be special guests. After all, I was still the king of the Kite Kingdom and unless they were special guests, they weren’t really qualified to meet me.

Most of the time, it would be enough for the prime minister or the chancellor to greet them…

Now that they were here looking for me…

“Who is it?” I couldn’t help asking in a surprised voice.

“Well, it’s someone that you know.” The prime minister said with a bit of awkwardness in his voice that made me even more confused.

But in the end, I still went with them to see who it was that had come to our Kite Kingdom.

When I saw them, I couldn’t help being surprised once more.

These were faces that I was familiar with.

It hadn’t been that long since I had last seen them and I certainly didn’t expect to see them that soon either. After all, their kingdom had just been attacked by the forces of Destruction and was still in the process of rebuilding.

But instead of staying there to help, they had come all the way here.

Without even waiting for the prime minister or the chancellor to say something, the two of them suddenly came forward to where I was before taking one hand each.

With smiles on their faces, the two of them said, “Your majesty, we’re happy to see you again.”

I couldn’t help shaking my head with a bitter smile when I saw this.

As for the reason why no one stopped them, it was simply because the two of them were princesses. At the same time, the two of them were from an allied country that had vowed to go through thick and thin with the Kite Kingdom.

So it wasn’t as if they could do anything to these two princesses.

But it was more that they knew that these two princesses wouldn’t actually harm me.

After a moment of silence, I asked, “What are you two doing here? Shouldn’t you be helping with the rebuilding?”

“We’re here because we have something more important to do. We were specifically sent here by our father as a gesture of goodwill from our Mofu Mofu Kingdom.”

I couldn’t help looking at the prime minister, asking him what they meant by this.

However, the prime minister just shook his head to show that he didn’t know either.

It seemed that they hadn’t told him anything before I had arrived.

“It’s just that we never expected to arrive before your majesty did. It seems like you had to go somewhere to pick someone up.” The two of them said as they looked at the saintess.

The saintess didn’t say anything as she calmly looked right back at the two of them.

I couldn’t help shaking my head again with a bitter smile before asking, “You still haven’t explained what the two of you are doing here.”

With more serious looks, Chocola and Vanilla said, “We have been sent as envoys from the Mofu Mofu Kingdom. We will be the ambassadors of the Mofu Mofu Kingdom on the continent.”

“Why did you choose to come to our Kite Kingdom then?”

“Is there really a need to ask this? Isn’t it clear judging by your majesty’s status in the racial alliance.” The two of them replied with smiles on their faces.

I didn’t say anything in response since there was no need for me to say anything.

Instead, I just went to fix the misunderstanding that they had, “This is the saintess of the Holy Empire. I hope that you will be able to get along with one another.”
