“Did you have fun last night?”

I was surprised to hear this question from the prime minister when we met in the morning.

After seeing the way that he and the chancellor looked at me, I could guess what had happened.

“Thanks for babysitting last night.”

The two of them gave a simple nod, but the way that they looked at me was as if they were still grilling me for details. However, it wasn’t as if I would actually give them any details about my sex life.

This was something that we didn’t talk about before and it wasn’t something that we would talk about now.

So to distract them, I suddenly asked the prime minister, “What about you and that certain someone?”

The prime minister revealed a rare flustered look when he heard this.

The chancellor also seemed interested in this, so he turned his attention to the prime minister.

“Soon.”

This was an answer that I didn’t expect from the prime minister.

“I thought that you were still waiting for things to settle down before you wanted to do this.”

The prime minister…Noah seemed to hesitate for a minute before finally saying, “I thought that it would be settled quickly in the past, but now it seems like that won’t be the case. From the reports that I’ve read, it seems like the end of the world is close and before that, I want to settle things before that comes.”

I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows when I heard this.

With a sigh, I patted his shoulder and said, “I won’t let that happen.”

Noah gave a nod to show that he understood and trusted me, but he also said, “I know, but it’s better to do it now.”

Then after a pause, he added, “Plus there’s a certain someone that’s been putting pressure on me. With how quickly they’re having children, it seems unfair to keep that person waiting for long.”

A bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this indirect jab at me, but I didn’t say anything in response.

Instead, that bitter smile turned into a genuine one as I patted him on the shoulder and said, “When the time comes, I’ll throw you a big wedding.”

But he shook his head and said, “No, just a small one will do. She doesn’t like that kind of big event.”

I gave a nod in response without saying anything.

It was the couple’s wishes that mattered the most, so it wasn’t as if I would force anything on them.

Turning the topic back to work, I asked the prime minister, “How is it going with collecting the things on the list I gave you?”

The prime minister and chancellor immediately shifted to work mode after hearing this.

“It’s been going well and we should be able to gather everything that was on the list before the week is up.” The prime minister said in a tentative voice.

But then the chancellor added, “However, it might be possible that we won’t make it in time.”

I gave a nod since that was what I expected.

If they couldn’t get these things, the worst case scenario was just to ask the Holy Empire for these things since I was sure that they would have them. The Holy Empire was an empire that had been accumulating power for many generations, so it wouldn’t be strange if they had these things since they weren’t that rare in the first place.

It was just that I didn’t want to impose on them just yet since it wasn’t urgent.

It was best if I could solve this with the power of the Kite Kingdom.

“Just do what you can and gather as much as possible. When the time comes, we’ll see what other options we have.”

Once that meeting was over, I went down to the area where the wyverns were.

When I arrived, the first thing that I did was go over to where Joan was and call her out for some training.

Joan was confused as to what training we had to do, but she still followed me out onto the training field.

Only when I gave her my instructions did she reveal a confused look that also had a trace of worry. She looked at me as if she was worried that there was something wrong with my brain.

But I just calmly said, “It’s fine, shoot your flames at me. I don’t want the divine energy flames, I just want the strongest flames you can release.”

Though I was giving her this order, she didn’t do it in the end as she was worried that something would happen to me.

So I just started shooting icicles at her with the button.

Joan looked at me with an annoyed look when she saw these icicles, but she wasn’t really bothered by them since I didn’t put much effort into them. They were simple icicles that bounced off her thick hide, as if they weren’t doing a single thing to her.

I continued shooting these icicles at her as I said, “If you want me to stop, you know what you have to do.”

So in the end, Joan finally shot the flame breath at me.

Though she did hold back with this flame breath since she was worried about hurting me.

I just easily blocked the flame breath with a ball of ice around myself.

This was a ball of ice that was formed from divine energy, so it wasn’t that easy to melt.

But I was still dissatisfied as I said, “This isn’t close to being enough. It needs to be stronger if it will block those flames.”

Then I shouted at Joan, “Make the flames stronger! I can take them!”

Joan looked at me as if she was worried about whether I was alright or not, but it did trigger a bit of competitiveness in her seeing that the ice was completely fine.
