Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1716 1716: Undine (5)

After another silence, Undine suddenly added, “Remember that this is just the right to form the contract. It doesn’t mean that the contract will succeed.”
It seemed that she was showing concern, but really she was just trying to salvage the last bits of her pride that were left.
If she formed a contract easily, then it would be hard for her to keep acting the same way as before.
So that was why Undine had made sure to add these words at the end.
I just gave a nod before I started taking out more things.
This time, I didn’t use the same piece of paper that I used with Ifrit.
This time, I took out many different materials to form a proper magic array that would allow me to form a contract with Undine.
After all, it was as she had said, it was hard for me to form a contract with her after forming a contract with Ifrit.
First was the strain that came from forming a contract with two different Spirit Kings.
There was a reason why they were known as Spirit Kings in the first place. There was a reason why they were on a completely different level when compared to other spirits.
As Spirit Kings, it was only natural that their power was on a completely different level.
As such, it was quite a strain to form a contract with even a single Spirit King.
Second was the negative relationship between Ifrit and Undine.
Like she had said, fire and water were two opposing forms of energy and when those two opposing forms of energy entered the same vessel, it was only natural that they would clash against each other.
So I had to protect myself against this clash, even though I was confident that my body would be able to take it after the baptism I had undergone.
After I finished creating this magic array, I took out several more things that I started using on myself.
I slapped something on my chest before a glow appeared around me.
I drank something that gave me a powerful sensation that came from my core.
I put on a ring that released a glow that surrounded me.
“How do you have all of these things? Just how well prepared are you?” Undine said in a shocked voice.
Ifrit also added in a shocked voice, “Why does it seem like you’re more prepared than you were when you came to find me?”
“Well, it’s because it’s different the second time around. If I don’t take this seriously, I could injure myself.” I said in response.
But the moment that I said this, Ifrit said in a slightly angry voice, “I don’t think I like the way that you said this. It almost makes it seem like you think that I’m weaker than that water woman.”
“If it does, then it would be fact.” Undine added in a snide voice that was a bit soft, but Ifrit still heard it and he began arguing with her.
While the two of them argued, I just continued making my preparations without a care for the arguing between the two of them.
When I was finally done making my preparations, that was when I suddenly cut into their argument to say, “Alright, I’m ready to form the contract.”
When Undine stopped arguing with Ifrit, she looked at my preparations and a complicated look appeared on her face before she said, “You’ve really gone all out, haven’t you? It seems like you’ve prepared everything possible…”
“Well, there’s no harm, is there?” I answered back.
Undine looked at me with the same complicated look before she said with a sigh, “Alright, let’s just get this over with.”
Once she said this, she got off the throne and floated over towards me.
I didn’t say anything as I waited for her to enter the magic array.
Only after she entered the magic array did I step forward to stand in the middle of the magic array as well.
Then once we were both in the magic array, there was a light that suddenly came from it before I was surrounded by water.
Though I was surrounded by water, the thing that I used earlier was still in effect so I could breathe without a problem. However, that water didn’t last long anyway, so it didn’t really matter if I could breathe or not.
Once the water was gone, the magic array seemed to lose all of its glow and the items that had been used to make this magic array seemed to lose their mana. It seemed that forming the contract had drained all of the power from this magic array.
However, it wasn’t as if this was a bad sign.
It just meant that the contract was a success.
Right after the contract had finished, Undine’s shocked voice said, “What is wrong with this body of yours, how could it have this kind of mana sensitivity? Also, why is there divine energy inside of this body?”
Though Ifrit had been arguing with her earlier, he couldn’t help saying with a sigh, “Right? This guy is a complete freak…”
I didn’t say anything in response to this as I just shook my head with a faint smile.
Undine was no longer acting like the refined lady that she had been acting before, she acted like a child just like Ifrit now that she had formed the contract.
Though I knew that this was just because she had lost her cool after sensing the condition of my body.
I knew that the condition of my body was something that would make anyone lose control like this as long as they knew what was going on with my body. But I didn’t bother explaining anything to her about this.
Instead, I just calmly asked her, “Tell me about the resources in your palace. We’re going to pick up as much as we can before we leave this place, so don’t spare a single detail.”
