Seeing these twenty strange things rushing out in different directions, I really didn’t know what to do.
But it turned out that I had been wrong about one thing.
I thought that since these strange creatures were as strong as one of the Four Omens, the troops from the racial alliance would struggle to handle them.
It turned out that this wasn’t the case at all.
Even though the strange creatures were strong, there was one major difference between them and actual members of the Four Omens.
It was the fact that these strange creatures just didn’t have the same level of intelligence as those Four Omens. They only possessed as much corruption energy as them, but they couldn’t use them in a flexible manner like the Four Omens.
Since they were creatures that only moved on instincts, that meant that it was easy for those from the racial alliance to guide them along the way that they wanted them to move.
With just a few people releasing holy energy at the right time, they were able to draw these strange creatures to move in a certain manner.
But this wasn’t the only reason why they were able to handle these strange creatures.
After all, it wasn’t as if holy energy alone would be enough to rein these creatures in.
What they needed was something else that could be used to hold them down.
That something else was the power of those that possessed divine relics.
I was actually caught off guard by the power that they demonstrated since it was completely different from before.
I didn’t see this earlier when they used these relics to fight, but that was because they didn’t use their full power.
Now that they were fighting these strange creatures, I could tell that they had actually increased the upper limit of their power. That meant that they were releasing full force attacks that were stronger than before.
Since these attacks were stronger than before, it meant that they could actually penetrate through the defenses of these strange creatures.
It meant that they were actually able to harm these strange creatures instead of just being pushed back by them.
“So they were disappointed with themselves after what happened last time and have become stronger.” I muttered to myself after seeing this result.
But I didn’t remain dazed for too long as I charged at one of the closest strange creatures.
Since this thing only had the same power as one of the Four Omens, that meant that it wasn’t a match for me. After all, I had taken care of Pestilence quite easily, it should be even easier for this strange creature that didn’t have any intelligence.
And I was right, but I was also wrong.
It was even easier than I thought since I had the support of the racial alliance.
They had become stronger and were strong enough to support me while I took down this strange creature.
After taking down the first strange creature, we moved to the next ones.
With more and more of the racial alliance members gathering, it was even easier for us to take care of them.
During all of this, I had been paying attention to the hand of the God of Destruction that came out of the array on the ground. But it seemed like the God of Destruction couldn’t do anything else.
It seemed that creating these strange creatures was already the limit of what it could do.
In the end, the strange creatures were whittled down to half of their population.
At this point, it seemed like the corruption energy monsters didn’t care that I was still holding Pestilence hostage as they charged forward to help these strange creatures.
“You’re good. You’re even able to defeat my Remnants of Destruction.”
The God of Destruction’s voice suddenly rang out to everyone’s surprise, but there was an even bigger surprise.
That hand suddenly came down to where Pestilence was and grabbed him.
Pestilence was caught off guard seeing this, but he quickly recovered when the restraints holding him were released by the hand that grabbed him.
Pestilence seemed like he wanted to do something to help the Remnants of Destruction and the corruption energy monsters that we were still fighting, but it seemed like the God of Destruction didn’t let him.
The God of Destruction’s hand just grabbed Pestilence tightly before pulling him into the array.
Though we couldn’t actually see the expression on Pestilence’s face, it seemed that he was disappointed that the God of Destruction was pulling him away like this.
Since this array was the one thing that seemed like it could hurt the God of Destruction, I didn’t really want to let the God of Destruction’s hand disappear that soon.
But it seemed like the God of Destruction already expected everything as a shockwave was released the moment that it pulled itself into the ground.
This shockwave made it so that no one could approach it.
At the same time, it seemed that this shockwave destroyed the array that it had used to come out of the ground.
Once the God of Destruction’s hand was gone, the array itself had been destroyed.
If we didn’t know that this was where the array had been, we wouldn’t have known that there had been an array there previously.
The God of Destruction really covered all of its bases like this…
“Let’s just clean up here and then we’ll talk about it.” I said in the end before turning to face the Remnants of Destruction and the corruption energy monsters.
The rest of the racial alliance agreed with this and all of them returned to face these things.
With us combining our powers, it was relatively easy for us to restrain all those that were left.
It was relatively easy since I wanted to capture some of these Remnants of Destruction to see if we could learn anything from them. But it seemed like they could only be stopped in death.
So in the end, we had no choice but to wipe them all out.
