Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1761: Mine collapse

Chapter 1761: Mine collapse
“Are you sure that you want to do this?”
When the Dwarven King asked me this, I just looked back at him with a smile and said, “What’s wrong with me visiting the mines once in a while? I want to see where the ore that we’re getting is coming from.”
The Dwarven King raised a brow to look at me after I said this.
He knew that it wasn’t because I was doubting the quality of the ore that was being supplied to us since we didn’t have a problem with our deals.
He knew that I was just doing this because I was doing this because I was genuinely curious about the mines of the Dwarven Kingdom.
But the one thing that the Dwarven King couldn’t understand was why I was suddenly interested in the mines like this. After all, there were more important things that we should be handling instead of going to the mines like this.
However, he couldn’t do anything since I insisted on going.
As for my reason, it was because there was something that was hidden in these mines.
The only problem was figuring out a way to reach that place without raising suspicion.
So the only way to do that was to go into the mines myself and wait for the perfect chance to put my plan into action.
That was why even though the Dwarven King had his doubts, he still took me to the main mine of the Dwarven Kingdom.
In the first place, there was a reason why the dwarves settled in this place.
It was because there was this one particular mountain that was in the center of the Dwarven Kingdom that had the largest veins of ores ever discovered. It wasn’t just a single type of ore that this mine produced, but all kinds of different ores.
This was why this mine was considered the very heart of the Dwarven Kingdom.
After all, if they didn’t have these ores, then they wouldn’t be able to produce the products that sustained their nation.
This was a mine that wouldn’t run out of ores no matter how they dug.
Even the dwarves had no idea how deep this mine actually ran.
Or at least that was the setting that was put in the game to make sure that this mine generated ores endlessly so that this location wouldn’t be useless.
But later on, there was something else that was added to the game with the release of new content that explained why this mine never ran out of ores. This was related to the Spirit King that I was looking for.
“As you can see, it’s just an ordinary mine. There’s nothing special about this place at all.” The Dwarven King said with a sigh as he led the way.
For the dwarves, this was a place that seemed like a treasure trove.
But for the other races, it wasn’t as if they cared about this place that was filled with ores.
Even if the Dwarven King acknowledged Zwein’s blacksmithing abilities, he didn’t think that he would be that interested in mines.
It was just that this was where he was wrong.
Or at least I was pretending that I was interested in it as I kept looking around at the different walls around us. With how I looked around me, it was as if I was looking for a certain ore or something.
After a while, I asked, “Can you give me a pickaxe? I want to find a few ores for myself.”
It wasn’t just the Dwarven King at this point, all of the dwarves were looking at me with strange looks since they had no idea what was happening.
No matter how they thought about it, they just couldn’t figure out why I was acting this way.
As such, there wasn’t a single person that actually handed me a pickaxe like I requested.
So in the end, all I could do was walk over to the side and pick up one of the pickaxes that had been left lying around.
This was a place where the dwarves worked a lot, which meant that there was quite a bit of gear that was left lying around this place.
After picking up the pickaxe, I just swung it a few times at the wall.
I might have been exhausted if this was before, but my physique was much better than it was previously and I was able to mine the walls without a problem. It didn’t take long for a few ores to come out, which I picked up and looked over before shaking my head as if I was dissatisfied with them.
Seeing this, the Dwarven King slowly came back to his senses before saying, “If there’s something in particular that you’re looking for, I can arrange for them to find it for you.”
But I just shook my head and said, “Let’s go in a bit deeper. I think that I should be able to find what I’m looking for if I go in a bit deeper.”
The Dwarven King just looked at me with another strange look but eventually he said with a sigh, “Alright, let’s go then.”
The rest of the dwarves just followed us, but they also picked up pickaxes as well as if they were prepared to dig along with me. It was almost as if there was some kind of pride that they had that made them not want to let me beat them when it came to finding these ores.
We continued a bit deeper into the mines while this was happening.
But during this time, I asked Ifrit and Undine, “Is everything prepared?”
It was only after a while that I finally heard them say that everything was ready.
Once that happened, I suddenly stopped and went over to the wall.
The other dwarves followed me as they raised their pickaxes as well.
But this time, there was something that happened as soon as our pickaxes made contact with the walls.
“It’s a cave collapse!”
