Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1764: Triggering traps

Chapter 1764: Triggering traps
The more that the dwarves examined this place, the more confused that they were about its origins.
After all, it didn’t seem like there was anything that seemed to make sense.
In the end, the only conclusion that the Dwarven King could come to was…
“These are the ruins of an ancient civilization that worshipped the God of Earth like us.”
The techniques that had been used to create the alloy wasn’t something that the dwarves had ever possessed. So it was hard for them to imagine that it was ancient dwarves who had created this place.
“Forget about that, let’s find a way inside.” I said while pointing at the doors that were in front of me.
The dwarves snapped out of their thoughts when they heard this and came back over to the doors to take a closer look at them.
It was just that no matter how they looked at them, it didn’t seem like they could find a way to open them. The more that they looked at these doors, the more confused that they were.
Once the dwarves became confused, they slowly became angry.
It wasn’t as if the dwarves were known for their patience in the first place, so they were slowly running out of patience.
Eventually, the dwarves picked up their pickaxes and seemed like they wanted to break through the door.
They even reasoned that it was only right for them to mine through the door since that was how dwarves did it.
Seeing this, I had no choice but to step in.
I could have easily opened the door when we first arrived since I knew everything about this place, but it would have been suspicious if I did this. So the only thing that I could do was wait until I had the right opportunity to step in.
But seeing that they were about to break down the door, I had no choice.
“Wait, wait, let me take a closer look at this.”
After saying this, I moved over to the door and acted like I was observing it carefully.
The dwarves just waited as if they wanted to see what I was doing, but I could also see that they were still losing their patience.
So after that, I tapped on a few of the carvings that were on the door.
When I did, they suddenly all sunk into the door before a clicking sound rang out.
Before any of the dwarves could react, the door started to open.
“How did you do that?” The Dwarven King couldn’t help asking in a shocked voice.
“If you looked closely, you could see that some of the carvings had indentations in them. It was clear that they were meant to be pushed down like that to trigger something. As for the order, it’s the order of the God of Earth’s followers. There had to be a reason that there were these carvings here in the first place.” I explained as if it wasn’t a problem at all, but the dwarves did seem impressed.
The dwarves came forward to take a closer look at the door and soon they recognized that I was right.
After the door opened, the dwarves pulled out torches from who knows where.
It was especially hard to tell where they had been keeping these on their small bodies, but every single one of them had a torch that they lit.
It seemed that they were all prepared for this kind of situation.
The Dwarven King was about to come forward to hold a torch for me, but I just created a few fireballs in the air with Ifrit’s power.
Seeing this, the dwarves revealed awkward looks.
They thought that they would be the ones taking the lead now, but it seemed that I was even more prepared than them.
Still, they didn’t let this bother them in the end.
The Dwarven King came forward and took the lead in heading into this place.
With the Dwarven King leading the way, the dwarves didn’t seem to have any fear.
Though it certainly was a strange sight seeing a bunch of dwarves with pickaxes in one hand and torches in the other. They really seemed like this strange group of robbers with how slowly they moved.
From time to time, I could see that the dwarves were looking closely at the walls around us.
It wasn’t that they were impressed by the carvings that were on the walls, it was that they were enamoured by the materials that these walls were made of. After all, these walls were similar to the walls outside that they were made of a rare alloy.
For these dwarves that loved rare ores, it was hard to resist this.
But at least they restrained themselves enough that they didn’t go off swinging their pickaxes at their walls.
It was just that with the way that they were looking at the walls, it seemed that they were almost certain to come back to bring down these walls in the future.
After observing them for a bit, I decided that it was finally time for me to do my thing.
We had been walking through the main hall of this temple, but there wasn’t anything special about this main hall. I knew that the special part of this temple was the basement that contained all of the things that this dungeon possessed.
In the deepest part underground was where the Spirit King laid.
After all, this was a dungeon for the Earth Spirit King, so it was only natural that it would be hidden deep under the ground.
While the dwarves were distracted, I made sure to step onto one of the special tiles.
The moment that I stepped onto this tile, there was a shake that came from the ground before it suddenly started to sink. There was this spiral shape that came from the tiles, as if it created a kind of vortex that was drawing everyone in.
The dwarves just couldn’t resist at all as they were pulled into the ground.
As for me, I naturally didn’t resist at all as I let myself be pulled in.
