Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1776 1776: Confirming what he already knew

I was a bit surprised to hear this since I didn’t think that they would have anything to say to me, but it seemed that this wasn’t the case.
Since she had something to say, I naturally couldn’t help being curious.
It was Solista, one of the gods that wanted to say something to me.
“I’m sure that you’ve already noticed that there have been some things that have changed with you.”
A wry smile appeared on my face when I heard this.
The way that she said this really wasn’t a surprise since it was quite obvious to me that something had changed with me. The only reason that I hadn’t said anything until now was because of how they had been acting.
Since they wanted to keep it a secret from me, I didn’t push it and let them keep their secret.
But now that they were willing to say something…
“It’s as you have noticed, you have fully become a demi god.”
“Huh?”
Though this was something that I had already guessed, the last time they said that I was just equal to a demigod since I possessed power that was similar to what a demigod would have.
They hadn’t said anything about me actually becoming a demigod yet.
But now they changed their tone and directly said that I was a demigod.
This was something that I had already expected to happen, but to hear it really was something else. At the same time, I couldn’t help wondering what had changed during this period of time that I had suddenly become a demigod.
“I’m sure that you’re wondering how you suddenly became a demigod, right?”
Solista said as if she had read my mind, but I knew that wasn’t possible anymore since I had divine energy in me.
Still, it wasn’t hard to read what I was thinking with the expression that was on my face.
After she said this, Solista gave a pause before saying, “To be honest, we have no idea either.”
“Huh?” I couldn’t help looking at Solista as if she was messing with me after she said this, but I could see the serious look that was on her face.
It was clear that she wasn’t joking about this, but what did it mean if not even the gods knew why I had become like this?
I really didn’t know what to say about this…
After a long silence, I asked, “What does it mean if I become a demigod?”
Solista didn’t say anything as she looked at me. Even though I couldn’t see her expression, I could tell that there was most likely a strange look that was on her face as she looked at me like this.
After a moment of silence, she finally said, “It means that you’ll be completely different from before.”
She took another pause before saying, “One thing that will be different is that you’ll be able to take in the power of faith to increase your own strength. Just like how you’ve become stronger since the last time that you’ve been here because you’ve been collecting faith from people.”
This time, I was completely caught off guard.
After all, this certainly wasn’t something that I had been expecting to hear.
The ability to collect faith and turn it into power like this was the power that only a god should have. But now she was telling me that I was able to use this power even though I was a demigod.
“The local beast gods are able to do the same when they are just demigods, why can’t you?”
I couldn’t help feeling that she was right when she said this, but there was a part of this that seemed wrong at the same time. It was almost as if there was something that I couldn’t put my finger on…
However, this did explain one thing that had been on my mind the entire time.
It was how I had defeated Pestilence of the Four Omens.
It had almost seemed too easy with how I had defeated him, but this explained why.
I had become stronger than I was before and it was clear that I had grown at a rate that surpassed even the Four Omens. Otherwise, I certainly wouldn’t have been able to suppress Pestilence that easily when I had struggled with Famine before.
There was a part of me that wondered just how strong I would be able to become like this.
But there was also a part of me that wondered how I would change in the future.
At the same time, I suddenly thought of something.
“My son, is he a demigod as well?”
The matters surrounding Arthur’s birth had me worried, so now that I had a chance to ask the gods about this…
“No, he’s not.” Solista said before falling silent.
I looked at her to urge her to say something else, but she didn’t say anything in the end.
It seemed that no matter what I did, she wouldn’t say anything else on this matter.
It wasn’t as if I could force a god that didn’t want to talk to tell me something.
So in the end, I went over to grab Oread and prepared to leave.
While this was happening, Oread looked at me as if he wanted to stay here longer.
However, I just ignored him since there was no point in staying any longer.
After all, it wasn’t as if there was anything that actually happened between Oread and Terra. All that happened was that Terra fell asleep again and Oread had been watching over him.
But before we could leave, Solista suddenly said, “I know that you are planning to take care of Democratic Union and I agree that they deserve what is coming to them. But I hope that you will remember that they are still humans in the end and deserve the same mercy.”
“I was planning on showing them that anyway.” I said in a calm voice even though I was caught off guard by her suddenly saying this.
Solista just said, “Yes, but not enough. I hope that you will consider using this new friend here to make it easier on yourself.”
She was pointing to Oread when she said this.
I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at her, but I couldn’t see anything in the end.
So all I said was, “I’ll think about it.”
“Thank you.” Those were the last words that Solista said before sending us away.
