Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1791 1791: A long lost race

Before I could finish gathering all of the things that I had wanted to gather, Klein couldn’t hold himself back anymore.
“What are these people? Aren’t you afraid of incurring their wrath by acting like this?”
It was the fact that I kept pushing aside the skeletons that we found that he couldn’t help ask me this question.
After all, the way that I did it really seemed like blasphemy.
It really seemed like we would be cursed at this rate.
However, I knew that there was no such thing as a curse.
After all, the people that died here had died naturally and they didn’t bear this kind of grudge. In fact, they had died thinking that it was all because of the will of the one that they worshipped.
But seeing the looks on the faces of the royal guards, I knew that I couldn’t remain silent forever.
“This place is the Temple of Winds as I’ve said previously. It was the home of a group of people known as the wing people and they are the ones that left the skeletons.”
“Wing people?” Klein and the royal guards repeated before looking at each other with confused looks.
After that, they looked at one of the skeletons that I had just turned over.
When they looked closely, they could see that there were indeed what seemed to be bones that represented wings that were on the back of these skeletons.
After a moment of silence, Klein asked, “Then they were demi humans?”
After all, it was only those bird demi humans that could have a bone structure like this.
“Not exactly.” I suddenly started moving after giving them the time to stare at this skeleton. While we moved, I continued by saying, “It’s better to say that they were humans that were born with wings, rather than demi humans that had the attributes of a bird.”
It took Klein a while to gather his thoughts before he suddenly asked, “Then they were angels?”
“Not exactly. It’s not as if they were connected to any gods, they were just humans that evolved to grow wings because of the place that they lived.” I said in a thoughtful voice.
This was part of the lore in the game, so I had to think about it to pull up this information.
Seeing that they didn’t say anything after this, I said, “The one that they worshipped is the thing that I’m trying to reach and to do that, I need the keys that they left behind. Those are the things that I’ve been taking from them.”
“Keys…huh?” The skepticism in their voice was very clear, but I didn’t stop for a moment as I continued moving forward.
Eventually, I said, “That’s right. That’s what I read from the tablet earlier.”
There were still looks of doubt that were on their faces when they heard this, but there was nothing that they could say against this. After all, Klein and the others simply couldn’t read what was on the tablet to confirm if this was true or not.
So instead, there was something else that Klein asked, “How did you even find this place?”
“That’s a secret.” I replied in a calm voice.
Klein and the other royal guards looked at me with a strange look when they heard this, but they didn’t say anything in the end. They were royal guards in the end, so if there was something that I wanted to keep secret…
Well, they would keep it secret from others, but from the prime minister and my wives who were all royalty as well…
Still, it didn’t matter if they knew since I was going to tell them anyway.
Right now, the most important thing was opening the path to Sylph.
So I gathered up all of the items that I needed and went back to the main temple.
Of course, it wasn’t time to meet Sylph yet since this wasn’t the place where they were.
This was still a temple that was in the middle of the mountain, there was still plenty of mountain to cover before reaching the top where Sylph was.
But this was the best way to climb.
After all, climbing in the cold with a lack of oxygen certainly wasn’t the best way to survive in this place.
That was why the only way to reach the top was through this internal path.
That was the case in the game and this was even more the case in real life.
Experiencing it in real life was completely different from experiencing it in the game.
In the game, the only thing that one had to look at were the status screen and the notification pop ups. But in real life, it really was hard when the cold wind hit you and when it felt like you were about to run out of breath.
It was certainly much more terrifying than it was on the screen.
But there was a part of this that was also a little exciting.
Perhaps it was because I had never had the chance to do something like this in my past life.
With the items that I collected from the wing people, I was able to open up the doors to the temple.
This temple wasn’t actually that big and didn’t have much in it, so it didn’t take long to see everything that was here.
The only thing special about this place was the altar that was in the center of this temple.
It was also the thing that I walked towards the moment that I entered this hall.
Klein and the others seemed like they wanted to go first, but I didn’t let them go past me.
After all, I was the only one that knew what the safe path was.
This place was filled with booby traps since it was a special place for the wing people, but it wasn’t a problem for me.
Once I reached the altar, I placed a few items on it.
