Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1799: Take your pick

Chapter 1799: Take your pick
With us sweeping through the castle like this, it didn’t take long for us to collect all the things that I wanted to collect.
Once that was done, we headed back to the entrance of the castle.
Even though the wind around the castle was weakening, it seemed that the pillar of wind that lifted us up here was still there. Though the problem was that it only lifted us up rather than letting us down.
This was seen when we jumped down thinking that it would cushion our fall only to land back at the castle entrance.
“How are we going to get down?”
I hadn’t been planning on revealing it that early, but…
“I haven’t even received an offering yet and you’re already making me work?” Sylph said with a snort.
“If you don’t let us out, then we’ll all freeze to death here. You’ll be trapped here since I’ll be dead too.”
Well, there were ways to get down even without Sylph’s help, but they weren’t really that safe or smart.
In the end, it seemed like Sylph was convinced as she created a second pillar beside the first pillar. When it appeared, I jumped down and it did what we thought the first pillar would do.
With Klein and the others following me, we returned to the cave that blocked out the wind and cold.
This place was different from the castle in the sky since this place was built with just the ability of the winged people. It didn’t rely on the power of Sylph, so it didn’t matter that she had been removed from her place in the dungeon.
That meant that we were finally able to take a break.
The good thing was that there were even buildings that were here for us to rest in.
What these buildings had most likely been used for was the guards that the winged people sent to watch over the exit. But judging by the skeletons that were here, it seemed that they too succumbed to the same illness as the others.
It really made one wonder just what that illness was that all of the winged people had died like this.
If it was an illness, there should have been some time for them to react at least, right?
Since we were in a safe spot, Klein and the others didn’t waste any time at all setting up a camp for us.
Once we were sitting around the fire that they made, I could tell that they had things that they wanted to ask me. And since we had the time, I suddenly said, “Alright, I’m sure that you have your questions for me, so just ask right now.”
“What was that place?” That was the first question that Klein asked.
“I can’t tell you.” I replied without any hesitation.
They looked at me with annoyed looks when I answered like this.
I didn’t blame them since I had said that I would answer their questions, but the answer that I gave them…
“It’s something that I can’t share right now, I’ll share it with you in the future.” That was the only thing that I could do. I had to at least give them this guarantee or else they wouldn’t have been able to accept it.
Though it seemed like they weren’t that willing to leave matters like this, they chose not to say anything else in the end.
I looked at them with gratitude for the trust that they gave me, but that didn’t mean that I was done yet.
There was a reason why I had started this conversation in the first place.
At the same time, I felt that it would give them an answer that they would be satisfied with.
As well, it would give them a power that would help them protect me.
“I want to test something. I hope that all of you can help me with this.”
Klein and the others looked at me with surprised looks when they heard this, but they still nodded in agreement in the end.
With a wave of my hand, there were spirits that suddenly appeared around us.
However, it wasn’t just a single kind of spirit that appeared.
There were all kinds of elemental spirits that appeared with just a wave of my hand.
Since I had become the contractor of the Four Spirit Kings of the four basic elements, it meant that the control that I had over spirits went beyond just these four basic elements.
There was a reason why they were called the four basic elements, they were elements that everything else was made up of. As such, it was easy for me to summon the spirits of different elements even without forming contracts with higher tier spirits of those elements
The combined power of the four Spirit Kings was enough to call them out.
Once they appeared, I said to Klein and the other royal guards, “Take your pick. Form a contract with the spirit of your choosing.”
They didn’t move after they heard me say this.
Instead, they looked at me with a strange look as if they were slowly figuring something out.
“These spirits and that wind from earlier…” Klein said as his expression slowly changed.
I could tell from his expression that there was a thought that was forming in his mind and this was the thought that I had wanted from him. So I didn’t stop him as I just waited for him to finish forming that though.
In the end, Klein didn’t say anything else as he went forward to pick out a spirit for himself.
Since he had figured it out, he didn’t say it out loud.
It was the same for the other royal guards who were slowly figuring things out.
In the end, none of them said a thing as they went to pick out their spirits as well.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile when I saw them acting this way, but I didn’t say anything either.
There wasn’t a need for any of us to say anything.
