Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1801: False god!

Chapter 1801: False god!
Once the barrier was down, I could see that the scenery in front of me was completely different from what I had seen before.
Instead of a forest, this place seemed like a lush valley that was filled with fields.
It was clear that there were people living in this place based on how well kept these fields were.
However, there was still the issue of the divine energy barrier…
What was it that had created this?
Was it a relic or was it…a god?
Would there actually be a god in the mortal world like this?
I was leaning more towards a god since I could feel the pull coming from inside.
I could tell that there was something with divine energy that was in front of me.
But I didn’t get a chance to move forward as there were people that suddenly appeared. However, these weren’t normal people as they were coming at me while flying through the sky.
Looking at them from a distance, it was hard to tell. But once they came closer, I could see that I wasn’t mistaken when I saw that there were wings on their backs.
They were humanoids with wings on their backs…just like the skeletons that we had found when we were climbing up the mountain.
I had thought that it was strange that all of the winged people had died out like that if it was due to illness. It wasn’t as if they would all die at once from being sick like that.
There should have been some that had survived and still existed in this world.
It seemed that the ones that had survived had all gathered in this place since it wasn’t a small number of winged humans that came out to meet us. There were quite a few of them that had appeared and it seemed like they were all armed.
It didn’t seem that they took too kindly to the barrier being destroyed.
In response to this, Klein and the other royal guards who had recovered from the illusion that they had been under came over to my side with their weapons drawn as if they were prepared to protect me.
I wanted to stop them, but it was already too late as the winged people looked like they were preparing to attack.
But before that happened, Sylph suddenly appeared in front of everyone.
The way that she appeared…it was as if she was expecting to be the center of attention.
She even made a pose as she appeared in front of everyone.
“My followers, I have returned!”
It was clear that Sylph recognized the winged people as her followers of the past, though when it came to this generation of winged people…it was hard to imagine that they would have heard about Sylph.
Especially since they abandoned the place that they had once lived and worshipped her in.
It would make sense that they didn’t recognize her at all.
But it turned out to be the opposite of this.
The moment that Sylph appeared, the winged people immediately froze as if they didn’t know how to react to her appearance. But slowly, it seemed like they were coming back to their senses and reacted to her.
The reaction that they had was anger.
It was strange seeing them suddenly become angry like this, but it was very obvious that this anger of theirs was directed at Sylph who was shining in front of them.
“It’s the false god! She’s returned!”
“False god?” I couldn’t help repeating in a confused voice.
First, it was surprising that the winged people spoke the common tongue of the current continent.
They were an ancient race, so it didn’t make sense that they would know the common tongue of the current world. Since they had been isolated by this divine energy barrier, they wouldn’t have had the ability to learn the common language.
What they should have spoken was the ancient language that I had read when we traveled up the mountain.
Second, it was surprising to see that they recognized Sylph and even called her a false god.
If they recognized her, wouldn’t they call her a returned god instead of a false god?
They had once worshipped her and it wasn’t as if that part of their history would have disappeared completely.
“She abandoned our ancestors and only appeared now? She is no god! She is an evil spirit that tricked our ancestors!”
Hearing this, it seemed to make sense.
After all, Sylph hadn’t done a single thing to help the winged race when they faced their disaster. This was something that the winged race didn’t seem to forget and even kept a grudge over all these years.
A grudge that lasted this long was something that fermented into a powerful grudge.
So there was no way that they would allow Sylph to get off that easily.
Right now, we were surrounded by these winged people…
“This is bad. If they start a fight now…”
I wasn’t actually worried that the winged people would be able to harm us since we had four Spirit Kings and a bunch of wyverns. It was just that I really didn’t want to start a fight with the winged people.
The continent was currently in a crisis facing the forces of Destruction and we had discovered a hidden ancient race. It would be for the best if we could convince them to join the racial alliance.
After all, the common enemy that we faced was the forces of Destruction.
Not to mention that these winged humans had abilities that would certainly help the racial alliance.
But it really didn’t seem like they were going to calm down, especially since Sylph was showing off in front of them.
There was a confused look that was on Sylph’s face as she couldn’t understand what was happening.
For a narcissist like her, she never would have thought that someone would hate her.
But this was what she deserved after how she treated the winged people.
“Attack!”
