Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1803: Very disappointed in you

Chapter 1803: Very disappointed in you
The Fenrir seemed like it had many things to say about me as the one that possessed the Mark of God.
But listening to what the Fenrir had to say made me feel awkward.
After all, it didn’t seem like the Fenrir was holding back at all when it said all of these things. It was as if it would stop at nothing to raise me up on a pedestal and praise me as much as it could.
However, the way that it was doing it was just too much.
It was clear by the looks on the faces of the winged people that their world was collapsing because of all the things that the Fenrir was saying.
So I gave a cough before saying, “Thank you for the introduction.”
The Fenrir seemed to have come back to its senses as well as it gave an awkward cough before bowing its head to me once more to say, “I’m sorry, I lost control of myself just now and made a blunder. I hope that you will not hold it against me.”
I was surprised by the polite tone in the Fenrir’s voice.
The things that it said were true, but this Fenrir was a god’s messenger that had lived for a much longer time than I had. It could be considered my elder, not to mention that it had the prestige of a legendary beast.
It shouldn’t have been this humble towards me at all.
It really made me feel awkward when the Fenrir acted this way, so I just said, “It’s an honour to meet you too. I never thought that I would be able to meet a real Fenrir one day.”
“You’re too kind, god’s representative. I am merely a messenger, I am no one special.”
The winged humans really seemed like they wanted to cry when they saw the Fenrir that they respected treating me like this. It was almost as if their faith was about to collapse a second time.
When it was finished talking to me, the Fenrir turned to look at Sylph who was still floating there in the sky.
When it looked at Sylph, the Fenrir suddenly narrowed its eyes and transformed into a completely different creature.
It had been humble when facing me, but it released the full pressure of a legendary beast when it faced Sylph.
This was a pressure that even made Sylph a bit afraid.
Behind the Fenrir was a god and even a Spirit King wouldn’t be able to fight against a god. So even if Sylph was someone that cared very much about her appearance, it wasn’t as if she could keep it up in front of a Fenrir.
So she floated down to where the Fenrir was before saying, “What is it? Why are you looking at me like this?”
“Do you know the crimes that you’ve committed?” The Fenrir said in a strict voice.
Sylph looked at the Fenrir with a confused look before saying, “What crimes? I’ve never committed any crimes.”
The Fenrir shook its head and gave a disappointed sigh when it heard this.
It looked at Sylph as if it was looking at a child that had misbehaved which I found strange.
So I couldn’t help asking with a cough, “May I ask what is happening here?”
The Fenrir’s expression relaxed a bit when it turned back to look at me before it said, “I was sent here on behalf of the God of Wind Zephyrus to clean up this fool’s mess.” It even raised a paw to point at Sylph when it said this.
Sylph looked unhappy that she had been called a fool, but she didn’t say anything when she saw the way that the Fenrir glared at her.
The Fenrir gave another sigh before turning back to look at Sylph and then scolded her, “Do you know how disappointed the God of Wind Zephyrus was with how you acted towards your followers? They were the children that he was the most proud of and he sent them to you to take care of, but you just ignored them when they faced that crisis. Are you really not going to take the blame for your crimes?”
Sylph just turned her head and said, “I gave them what was needed, beyond that, it isn’t my problem.”
The Fenrir immediately glared at Sylph when it heard this.
Hearing this, I started to understand what the situation was.
It turned out that the winged people didn’t follow Sylph because they chose to do so, they had been sent to her by the god that cared for them. As such, they had no choice but to rely on her protection.
It seemed that the god that was behind the winged people in the first place was the God of Wind Zephyrus, which made sense since they were people with wings on their back and how close they were with the sky showed their connection to the God of Wind.
“Then were you sent here to take care of the ones that survived?” I suddenly asked the Fenrir.
The Fenrir turned back to look at me before saying with a nod, “I came on the order of the God of Wind Zephyrus that I serve as a messenger and I’ve been taking care of these survivors since then. I was told to wait for the one that broke my barrier and then decide what to do, but it’s clear to me what I have to do now.”
I couldn’t help looking at the Fenrir with a strange look when I heard this.
From the speech that it gave earlier, I had already picked up on bits of this.
However, it was clear to me now that it was even worse than I thought it was.
This Fenrir did serve as a messenger for the gods, so it only made sense that it would be like this.
This Fenrir was clearly just as obsessed with the gods as the people of the Holy Empire.
