“Thank you for gathering everyone.” I said to the representatives from the different countries that had come.
All of them just said that it wasn’t a problem, but it was clear that they had been through a decent amount of things to have gathered here.
After all, it wasn’t as if this place was a place that was easy to access.
The village of the Feather Race was near the highest peak, which meant that this was the place that we had gathered. Even though we hadn’t climbed that far up, it wasn’t as if the weather here was that kind.
As such, I could see that a few of them were already shivering because of this.
That was why I didn’t waste any time in leading them to where the Feather Race lived.
There were some members of the Feather Race with us as well and it seemed that they were getting along with the demi humans.
Even though they had already shown that they weren’t related to any birds, the demi humans could still relate to them because of their wings. At the same time, the Feather Race seemed to feel a connection to the demi humans as well.
It was good that they were forming this connection, but I hoped that it wouldn’t make the Feather Race rely on the demi humans alone.
After all, the point of the racial alliance was to connect all of the races together to fight against the forces of Destruction. That meant that we needed every single race to be working together in the racial alliance.
After traveling for a bit, we arrived at the barrier that was around the Feather Race’s land.
Even though I had broken the barrier last time, the Fenrir had been able to fix that barrier without a problem. In fact, it had only taken a wave of the Fenrir’s hand to repair the hole that I had created in the barrier.
Though this barrier was now visible to everyone instead of being covered in illusions like before.
Now that the Feather Race had been exposed, there was no reason for the Fenrir to hide them any longer. That was what the Fenrir had told me when it had reformed the barrier.
When we arrived, the Feather Race went inside of the barrier to prepare something while we waited outside.
Since their race had been marked by the Fenrir, they were able to move through the barrier as they wanted.
It was the same for me, but I didn’t follow them.
It didn’t take long for the barrier to suddenly open to let us in, but that wasn’t the only thing that happened.
In the hole that formed in the barrier, there was a large wolf that was waiting there.
“Holy Son, you’re back!”
The Fenrir immediately came to my side the moment that the barrier opened.
It didn’t seem like the Fenrir even saw the others that were with me, even though they had quite the presence as well as representatives of their different races. It seemed that to the Fenrir, the only thing that mattered was me.
Once the Fenrir came over to my side, it immediately wrapped its large body around me and started nuzzling up against me.
A bitter smile appeared on my face when I saw this, but I didn’t say anything as I just raised a hand and petted the Fenrir on the head.
The Fenrir seemed to rub its head against my hand while I was doing this.
Seeing the Fenrir like this caused a strange look to appear on my face.
After all, the Fenrir was nothing like how it had acted when I had first met the Fenrir.
With the way that it acted, it was as if it had turned into a completely different creature.
It was almost as if it had become a puppy…
It really didn’t seem to have a single trace of the legendary beast that it displayed when I first met this Fenrir.
At the same time, I could see the way that the others were looking at me.
Even if they tried to hide it, it was hard for them to hide the looks of shock that were on their faces as they watched all of this.
No one seemed like they could believe that the Fenrir was acting this way around me.
Well, no one except for those from the Holy Empire.
The way that they were looking in my direction was as if they had already expected such a thing to happen and that they were filled with admiration towards me. It was as if they saw me as the incarnation of a god with how they looked at me.
I really wanted to dig myself into a hole when I saw this.
After petting the Fenrir on the head for a while, I gave an awkward cough and said, “I’ve brought the guests like I’ve mentioned before.”
The Fenrir stopped nuzzling against me and turned to look at the representatives from the racial alliance. The moment that it turned to look in that direction, it seemed to regain the prestige that it had shown before as a legendary beast.
No, it seemed to have even more of a presence when it looked at these representatives from the racial alliance.
It was quite the presence that this Fenrir had and some people couldn’t help taking a step back.
But that was also because the Fenrir seemed to be acting even more strictly towards them than it had towards me. It was almost as if the Fenrri had wanted to put pressure on them so that they wouldn’t take it lightly.
It actually seemed to regain the presence that it should have had as a legendary beast.
Though its eyes seemed to relax a bit when it saw those people from the Holy Empire as if it saw something that it recognized from them.
After a while, the Fenrir said, “Come in and let’s talk.”
Without another word, it lifted me onto its back and started walking towards the barrier.
