Chapter 1809: A true god’s messenger (3)
Everyone was surprised to hear this.
The ones that were the most surprised by this though were actually the Feather Race themselves.
Even though they had heard from the Fenrir that Zephyrus, the God of Wind had asked the Fenrir to look after them, it wasn’t as if they knew that they had been created by the God of Wind themselves.
This was something that only one person knew about since the Fenrir had told them everything.
Everyone else had only known a bit about this.
It didn’t take long for those surprised looks to be replaced with looks of pride and joy.
After all, it was one thing to be looked after by a god’s messenger.
It was a completely different thing to be a race that was created by a god.
To be created by a god was an honour in itself and it was something that not everyone could say about themselves.
The gods did create this world, but it wasn’t as if every species was created by the gods. They just created the world and the species that came were those that developed naturally.
But for a god to create a species, it meant that they went out of their way to make them in this world.
In a sense, it could be said that they were connected to the god that created them.
Just like how the God of Wind Zephyrus was calling them their children.
I knew that if I let the Feather Race keep wallowing in the joy of this, there was no doubt that they would become twisted because of it. As such, I had no choice but to burst their bubbles and bring them back down.
So that was why I suddenly said, “Of course we’ll take care of them as part of the racial alliance, that is something that we would do for all of its members. However…”
I didn’t finish these words, but the implications behind them were clear.
The God of Wind Zephyrus just said, “Of course I don’t expect more than what you would expect from anyone else. These children are a part of this world and naturally they will live just as everyone else lives.”
The Feather Race seemed to have come back to their senses when they heard this, but it wasn’t as if they were angry to hear this.
It seemed that they were reflecting on how they had been acting after hearing the God of Wind say this.
They seemed to accept that they weren’t that special without a single problem.
This was the kind of mentality that the Feather Race had since they were a race that had already been through quite a bit in the past. It wasn’t as if they would let this alone get to their heads.
So in the end, they were able to calm down from what the God of Wind Zephyrus said.
At the same time, the others in the racial alliance seemed to let out a sigh of relief.
If the God of Wind forced them to treat the Feather Race differently…
Well, it wasn’t as if they would do it, but it wasn’t that easy to go against the words of a god. They would naturally be worried that the god would get revenge on them for going against their words.
But this was solved with just a few simple words from me.
In fact, it even seemed like the God of Wind Zephyrus was treating me with respect with the way that it talked to me.
I was already used to this, but I realized that this wasn’t the case for the others that were in this room.
When they heard the way that the God of Wind Zephyrus talked to me, there were a variety of expressions that were cast in my direction.
Though the ones that had the strongest looks were still the ones from the Holy Empire.
The way that they looked at me was just like how they had looked at me when they found out that I was a demigod.
It really felt like they were going to raise my status again with how they looked at me.
After all, I was talking to a god and the god was talking to me with respect.
One would think that the god was treating me as an equal with the way that it acted around me.
Once this first matter was settled, the God of Wind Zephyrus continued by saying, “Thank you for taking care of them. Now onto the next matter regarding the forces of Destruction.”
Once the God of Wind said this, everyone immediately revealed serious looks.
After all, the matter with the forces of Destruction was a very serious one.
The forces of Destruction had to be taken care of before anything else could be discussed.
Only it didn’t seem like the God of Wind had anything that was worth mentioning to give us.
“Unfortunately, there are things that I can’t tell you or else I would. The only thing that I can actually do is provide my assistance through lending my power and to send my follower to help you.”
Everyone couldn’t help revealing bitter looks on their faces when they heard this, but they couldn’t say anything since the other side was a god. The only thing that they could hope for was that whatever the God of Wind gave them would be something good.
Only it didn’t seem like the God of Wind had anything for them.
The only person that the God of Wind had something for was me…
The Fenrir suddenly came forward and turned around so that it was standing there right in front of me. Then it suddenly brought its snout forward and said, “Please put out your hand for me.”
I couldn’t help raising a brow seeing this before asking, “What are you planning to do?”
“I am giving you my Mark of God as well to help support you in battle.” The Fenrir said without any hesitation.
