Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1812: Might of a legendary beast

Chapter 1812: Might of a legendary beast
The Fenrir led everyone to a part of the barrier that was uninhabited.
It seemed that the land that the barrier covered was much bigger than one had thought it would be. It seemed that the barrier stretched quite far out with how much land it contained.
At the same time, it wasn’t as if this land was as bad as it should have been.
Outside of the barrier, the land was barren and swept with cold wind.
After all, this place was high up in altitude and there wasn’t as much oxygen in this place as in other places. That was why there weren’t that many things that lived here previously.
Without different plants and animals living in this place, it wasn’t as if there was anything that would create an ecosystem here. That was why there was nothing that grew outside of the barrier.
But it seemed that this barrier not only protected the Feather Race from the wind and cold outside, it also seemed to fill this land with life.
There was a layer of lush grass that covered the ground in this place.
It really was as if the barrier was used to create some kind of sanctuary for the Feather Race that lived here.
Once we arrived in this place, the Fenrir suddenly turned around and said, “Go and put down the targets that you want me to demonstrate my abilities on.”
I looked at the sages from the Sorcery Empire and they went out to create a kind of test field for the Fenrir.
Of course, they made sure that the corruption energy that was a part of the target wasn’t able to spread. It would be a disaster if the contained corruption energy were to get out and start spreading around the area.
After the corruption energy targets were set up, the sages moved out of the way for the Fenrir to demonstrate her power.
Though they didn’t actually move that far away.
The excuse that they gave was that they were standing nearby so that they would be able to react if anything happened. They were saying that they would guard against anything going wrong.
But it was hard to take them seriously when there was that excited look on their faces.
It was clear that what they wanted to do wasn’t just to protect the area.
It was clear that they wanted to see the power of the Fenrir first hand.
The Fenrir was a legendary beast and one that was famous among magicians, so I could understand why they were acting this way.
As such, I didn’t say anything as I waited for the Fenrir to show her power.
“Wind.” It was just a soft word that was said, but the wind that was raised wasn’t gentle at all. These were blades of wind that cut right through the targets that had been set up.
One might think that cutting the corruption energy targets would just release the corruption energy, but it didn’t happen at all.
When the sages reacted and wanted to use the holy water to stop the corruption energy from spreading, they found that the corruption energy that should have been there wasn’t there at all.
It seemed that something had already purified the corruption energy.
There was only one thing that had touched these targets, so there was only one thing that could have purified the corruption energy.
They all looked at the Fenrir with surprised looks when they realized this.
However, I wasn’t the same as the rest of them.
I was able to sense the divine energy that was inside of the wind blades that the Fenrir had released, so I knew that these wind blades would have been able to purify the corruption energy that it hit.
After seeing this, I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at the Fenrir.
When the Fenrir saw me looking at her like this, it seemed that she misunderstood the reason that I was looking at her like this. So before I could even say anything, the Fenrir gathered the wind once more and released even more wind at the targets.
This time, it seemed that the Fenrir was trying to show off as much as possible as several small tornadoes were shot out at the targets.
These tornadoes ripped the targets apart and tore them down to shreds that were scattered on the wind.
But this wasn’t the end of it.
With the wind that the Fenrir gathered around herself, it was as if she wanted to raze this entire area down with a whirlwind.
Of course I couldn’t let her do that anymore, so I said, “Stop, stop, there’s no need for this.”
The Fenrir stopped when I said this, but the way that she looked at me was as if she wasn’t happy that I had stopped her.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile before saying, “I wasn’t thinking that you weren’t strong at all, I was just thinking about the different uses for your divine energy wind. This is a very flexible power and will be very useful to us in the future.”
After all, the wind was something that could freely move through space.
It was a force that was very hard to stop since it could be anywhere.
As such, there were many different ways to use the power of the Fenrir.
Whether it was to use it as a means of attack or support, there was no doubt that the Fenrir would be crucial to our fight against the forces of Destruction in the future.
But right now, it seemed like the Fenrir wanted something else.
Seeing the way that the Fenrir looked at me, I had no choice but to raise my hand and pet her on the head.
It felt weird since this wasn’t like petting a normal dog, after all this was a legendary beast that I was currently petting. Even though she was acting just like a normal dog would as I was petting her…
