In the end, it didn’t seem like they were happy with the decision that I came to.
I understood why, but I had to insist on this. After all, I was the only one that would be able to resist this corruption energy enough that we would be able to safely make it to the other side.
Other than me, there simply wasn’t anyone else that could do the same thing.

So that was why they were wondering how we would do this.
I naturally had already thought of a plan after seeing the way that the strange swirl worked, so I just said to them, “Come over to my side and stay close to me. When I step in, you’ll have to step in with me.”
This wasn’t a large group, but it wasn’t a small group either.
The main thing that restricted the size of this group was the size of the strange swirl in the first place. It wasn’t that big of a portal array, so it wasn’t as if we could bring that many people along with us.
That was why we brought as many people as we could that would still fit in the portal array.

When I gave a nod, they all took a step forward and crowded into the portal array.

But the moment that it came out, I created this thin layer of ice around us.
It was so thin that it didn’t even seem like it was there.
Though there was no mistaking this layer of ice as it was one that was formed with divine energy. So it would be strong enough to resist the powers of this corruption energy.
The moment that the corruption energy made contact with the layer of ice, there were signs of it being purified. But the corruption energy wasn’t completely purified by the power of the divine energy ice.
At the same time, the divine energy ice wasn’t completely corrupted by the corruption energy.
There was this delicate balance that came to be as the corruption energy dragged the ice around us down. With this ice around us being dragged down, we were being dragged down at the same time.
But it wasn’t as if we were being pushed into the ground.
Instead, it felt as if there was something that had opened up under us that the corruption energy was pulling us into. This was the spatial transport magic that this array was made for.
“Hold tight and don’t let go.” I said to everyone as we were being pulled down.
They just grabbed each other’s hands and made sure that they wouldn’t be separated once we came out on the other side.
Only when we did come out the other side, we found that we weren’t really that there was no force that ripped us apart. All of us came out in a friendship circle, but the place that we arrived in was very strange.
This was a space that didn’t seem to have light, but at the same time…we could clearly see everything that was around us.
It really seemed like this was nothing more than a world of darkness.
