Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1835 1835: Mastering the divine relic (3)

When he suddenly stopped in front of me, I didn’t say anything as I held up the thunder bolt for him.
However, Old Man Lancelot didn’t take the thunder bolt right away.
Instead, he took a deep breath as if he was calming himself before suddenly entering the same state as before.
When he did, I could feel the sharp sensation that came from him.
It was as if he transformed back into a sword with the way that he stood there.
It really was different to face this head on instead of facing it from the side like earlier.
It was as if there was a sword being held right at my neck with the way that this sharp feeling came at me. But I knew that this feeling wasn’t actually directed at me, rather it was directed at the thunder bolt in my hand.
After a while, he finally reached out to take it from me.
This time, he was able to grab hold of the thunder bolt and take it in his hand.
This wasn’t surprising when he reached a state like this, but the problem was that he wasn’t able to maintain this state for long.
A few seconds later, that thunder bolt dropped out of Old Man Lancelot’s hand and fell to the ground. After he dropped it, he couldn’t help letting out a large breath before he started panting.
It was as if he couldn’t get enough air inside of him with the way that he was breathing.
This made it very clear that it was very tiring for Old Man Lancelot to maintain this state, but that wasn’t a surprise.
This kind of state was not something that a normal person could even hope to accomplish, so it was already amazing that he was able to reach it.
It was even more amazing since he had already suffered for so long at the hands of the forces of Destruction. It was as if he forced himself back into shape with the way that he suddenly entered this state.
For him to do something like this, there was no doubt that he had pushed himself to the limits.
“Are you alright?” I asked him when he finally caught his breath, but it didn’t seem like Old Man Lancelot heard me.
It wasn’t that he was ignoring me, it was just that his attention was on something else.
It seemed like his attention was on the thunder bolt that was on the ground, as if this was the only thing that he could see.
After a while, he reached down again as if he wanted to grab hold of it.
I didn’t expect anything out of this since he wasn’t releasing the same sensation as before, but it turned out that I was wrong. Though the way that he did this really was quite strange.
He didn’t grab the thunder bolt right away, instead he made contact with it and then went through it again and again. It seemed like he was able to touch it for a moment before his hand went through it.
From what I could see, it seemed like he was testing something with the thunder bolt.
On the side, I could see the way that the faces of those from the Holy Empire changed.
They found it almost blasphemous the way that he was just messing around with this divine relic from the God of Thunder.
If it wasn’t for the fact that I was stopping them, then they might have come forward and grabbed it away from Old Man Lancelot.
It didn’t seem like they wanted to let him have this divine relic.
Eventually, it seemed like Old Man Lancelot was able to pick it up.
As expected of someone that was once said to be the one closest to becoming the Sword Saint.
He had exceptional senses when it came to matters like this.
Just from the fact that he picked up this thunder bolt showed that he had figured out something.
The state that he had entered previously seemed to be a deep dive into the power of the Sword Saint, but it wasn’t as if he needed to be in this state to pick up the thunder bolt.
After all, he just needed to use the power of the Sword Saint to be able to touch it.
So him grabbing it on the ground was him adjusting how much power he needed to grab it. It wasn’t as if he could maintain that full power state the entire time, so he needed to use this weakened state to just hold it.
After taking it in his hand, Old Man Lancelot didn’t do anything as he just stood there while looking at the thunder bolt.
After a while, he suddenly swung the thunder bolt again.
It was just that it didn’t exactly do what he wanted it to do.
There was this tiny bolt of thunder that came from it, but it quickly dissipated into the air. This was a tiny bolt of thunder that was just too small to do any damage to anyone.
Old Man Lancelot knitted his brows and looked down at the thunder bolt in his hand, but it didn’t seem like he was discouraged because of this. It was clear that he was focused on changing the amount of power that he used with this thunder bolt.
This was a kind of focus that normal people wouldn’t have.
As expected of the one that was considered closest to becoming a Sword Saint.
It seemed like there was nothing to worry about when it came to giving him this divine relic.
The only thing that Old Man Lancelot needed now was time to get used to this divine relic.
Once he was used to it, it would be interesting to see how much power he would be able to draw from it.
But at the same time, there was a second divine relic that I was holding from him as well.
It was the defensive one that I had gotten for him.
