Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1839 1839: Planning a raid

There were a total of ten outposts that were scattered all around the continent.
It would have been more, but it seemed that this was the limit with how they spread out the portal arrays. If they didn’t spread them out this far, then they wouldn’t have covered the continent so completely.
It would have given them more space to create more outposts.
However, there was an explanation for this.
“It’s simply because they had to do this so they could operate in secret. If they were to abduct too many people from a small area, then it would have raised suspicions.”
They took advantage of the one thing that no one really cared about in this world full of magic and fantasy.
It was the fact that this world was a dangerous place to begin with and it was common for people to disappear. It was natural for a few people to disappear in most places every year, which was why no one investigated when these people went missing.
In fact, they just thought that it was the same thing where they were attacked by monsters, by beasts, or by something else. They didn’t even care that they couldn’t find a corpse since that was usually how these things ended.
These portal arrays that were used to capture people really were something else.
It was hard for any sentient species to resist the call of curiosity.
So when they saw a portal like this, it was only natural that they would want to see where this led them.
Once they got close, the only thing that would happen is that they would be pulled in and then trapped by the forces of Destruction that were waiting inside of the separate pocket in space.
It was almost like a lobster trap with how it was designed.
The amount of people that we had that could lead these groups wasn’t much.
There were others that had divine relics like me, but that didn’t mean that they were at the same level as me. If there was a powerful opponent like the Four Omens waiting for them, then they wouldn’t be able to take them down.
At the same time, there was a problem of not knowing what was waiting for us at these outposts.
There was no doubt that there would be troops from the forces of Destruction waiting for us in each of these outposts. It was impossible that the forces of Destruction would just leave these outposts completely unmanned.
The problem was that we had no idea how powerful the troops stationed there would be.
It could be as strong as the one that we had crushed previously or it could be one of the Four Omens that was waiting for us.
As such, it really was dangerous to spread our forces too far apart.
In the end, the decision was made to have five groups that would take care of two outposts each. The outposts were close enough that we would be able to rush from one to another.
Though if there were more, then it would be troublesome since we wouldn’t be able to reach it that quickly.
The portal arrays were decently spread out across the continent after all.
The ones that were chosen to lead the groups were me, Old Man Lancelot, the saintess, Alidus, and the Fenrir.
I was the obvious choice to lead a group since I was our main force in the first place. It was even a bit overkill to have me lead a group since I should have been the one that waited in the back for any problems to appear, but I insisted on going.
Old Man Lancelot was also an obvious choice since the power that he demonstrated was something that was far beyond what normal wielders of divine relics could demonstrate.
He really was worthy of the title of the one closest to being a Sword Saint.
The riskier ones were for the saintess and Alidus to lead a group, but there was a different reason for this.
The saintess had the Holy Empire behind her, so it was easier for her to gather up powerful support through that. The Holy Empire didn’t have a problem dealing with the forces of Destruction after all.
As for Alidus, he was leading the troops from the separate races.
As a giant, it would be easier for him to lead the troops from the other races since they would trust him as a giant.
With their racial divine relics, it would be easy for them to deal with the forces of Destruction as well.
Then the final choice was the Fenrir.
The Fenrir was the only one that didn’t seem happy that she was chosen to lead a group.
That was because the Fenrir looked like she clearly wanted to follow me.
But there was no other choice since there was no one else that could lead a team other than the Fenrir. Because the Fenrir was the messenger of the gods, she had a natural connection to them and could draw on divine energy easily.
This divine energy was needed to take down the forces of Destruction.
That was why she had to lead a group.
So even if the Fenrir didn’t seem happy that she would be separated from me, she had no choice but to accept this since this was the command that I gave her.
“Is everyone in agreement with this plan?”
There were some doubts that were on the faces of everyone, but they agreed in the end.
After all, everyone knew that this was the best choice that we had to deal with this problem.
It was only a matter of time before the forces of Destruction found out about the outpost that we destroyed before.
Once that happened, there was no telling what they would do.
As such, we had to make our move before they could make their move.
“I wish you all luck tomorrow.”
