Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1840 1840: Something’s wrong (1)

It didn’t take long for the forces to gather, which was why we decided to strike tomorrow.
The second reason was that we really didn’t have much time to wait.
There was no telling when the forces of Destruction would make a move after all, so it was best to take care of this problem as soon as possible.
The reason that they gathered so quickly was because they had already been preparing.
Anyone would have been able to figure out that the next logical thing was to raid these outposts after discovering them. That was why they had been preparing during the time that we had been training and searching for these outposts.
Once we all gathered, we split off into our separate groups and headed off.
Since this was a special occasion, the Sorcery Empire even went all out and created transport arrays for all of us so that we would be able to arrive at our destination sooner.
Transport arrays were very special and they weren’t things that the Sorcery Empire could use often.
First was the amount of mana that it took to operate these transport arrays.
It was a ridiculous amount of mana that was required which was why the Sorcery Empire couldn’t use these kinds of arrays that often.
At the same time, the magic tech that was required to make these arrays were things that had been salvaged from an ancient empire.
The Sorcery Empire could create something that was similar, but it didn’t have the same range as the transport arrays created with the ancient technology.
So each one that they used meant there was one less similar transport array available.
That just went to show how important this was to the Sorcery Empire and the racial alliance took this to invest this much.
“No one will forget this when this is over.” I said to the Sorcery Empire representatives, but they didn’t say anything in return.
After all, this wasn’t about getting anything in return.
It was all for the peace of the continent.
With these transport arrays, we all arrived at the location of the reports from the Feather Race.
Once we were there, there was a member of the Feather Race that had been waiting for us that guided us to where the portal arrays were.
For my team, we spread out across the area where the portal arrays had been discovered.
That was because we had different roles when we entered the outpost.
The group that was coming with me would be the main attack group.
The other groups that were being sent through the other portal arrays would be in charge of scouting the area and finding out where the main forces of the enemy were. That was why there was no need for them to follow me and it was better if they acted separately.
That was also why they were going in through the different portal arrays.
Once everyone was in position, that was when we stepped in all of a sudden.
The moment that we stepped in, the same thing happened where we were pulled into by the corruption energy. But after going through it once, it was easy for me to know just how much force to use to stop this corruption energy from hurting us.
It wasn’t even necessary for me to make a move since we had learned that this corruption energy had been weakened anyway.
After all, it was supposed to only weaken those that wandered in so they could be captured more easily.
Once we appeared in the pocket in space, we found that there was a group of corruption energy monsters that were waiting for us.
This didn’t happen last time and it seemed like it was only a coincidence this time.
After all, it seemed like they were nothing more than a patrol group that had coincidentally bumped into us.
But since they were just simple corruption energy monsters, it wasn’t hard for us to take them down.
“Your majesty, you should have left it to us.” The royal guards who came with me said this.
However, I replied, “The situation is different, it’s better if I handle it myself this time. We don’t have any time to waste.”
The royal guards didn’t seem like they fully accepted this, but they still accepted it in the end since it was a fact that we didn’t have time to waste.
As such, they followed me as I led them deeper in.
It didn’t take long for us to encounter the scouts.
They had already searched this entire place and quickly told us about what they had found.
But when they did…
“There’s something off about this place…” I couldn’t help saying this out loud.
The scouts didn’t say anything, but the looks on their faces showed that they agreed.
The reason for this was because of how quiet this place was.
From what we had seen in the previous outpost, this place should have had some corruption energy monsters or even an Apostle of Destruction guarding the building.
But the scouts didn’t find anything there.
“Does that mean that this is a trap or we’re in the wrong place?”
No one had an answer for this since they didn’t know anything about this place to begin with.
In the end, I had no choice but to say, “Let’s go and see the building itself. We’ll see if we can find anything from it.”
After all, it wasn’t as if we could just wait and do nothing.
When we arrived, it really didn’t seem like there was anything here.
We could sense the corruption energy that was in the air, which meant that there should be a core in this place. It was just that we couldn’t really find the source of this thing.
We scouted the building, but it was completely empty…
“Where are they hiding?”
It really seemed like there wasn’t a single thing here with how empty it was…
