Even though I told them that I wanted to meet with her alone, the royal guards just didn’t listen at all.
Even though the other side was a little girl who didn’t seem to pose any threat at all, they just didn’t let their guard down.
So in the end, I met with the little girl while being surrounded by these royal guards.
I did give them a look showing that they were worried over nothing, but they didn’t seem to back down no matter how I looked at them.
That was just the loyalty that they had towards me, so it wasn’t as if it was a bad thing.
After sitting down, it didn’t seem like the little girl was going to say anything.

I immediately stood up and moved closer when I heard this.
Even though the little girl looked a bit afraid when she saw this sudden movement from me, I still went forward to say, “Where did you see it?”
She looked around for a bit before pointing in a certain direction.
It was just that there wasn’t anything in the direction that she was pointing at.
Or at least there wasn’t anything that we could see, but there was clearly something that she could see since she was pointing in that direction. As for what it was that she could see, we had no idea at all.
Still, it didn’t seem like she was making this up and it wasn’t as if there was anything to lose from following her.
“Can you lead me to the source?”
The little girl gave a nod in response and stood up before leading the way out.
While this was happening, I heard Klein say from behind me, “Your majesty…”
I just looked at him and said, “If it really is this, then is there anyone that can investigate this more confidently than me?”
There was a strange look that appeared on the faces of the royal guards when they heard this, but they didn’t stop me this time.
After all, they knew that I was right.
If it was something that was related to the forces of Destruction, then I really would be the best person to take care of it. There was no one that could fight those with corruption energy better than me.
So in the end, they just followed me without saying anything.
They had determined looks on their faces as if they were prepared to sacrifice themselves to buy time for me to run away.

The little girl wandered away from the camp that we had set up for the prisoners that we rescued. After walking away from the camp for a bit, she suddenly pointed forward and said, “There’s something in front of us. It’s the source of the black swirls.”
I gave a nod before saying, “Move back, let me take a look.”
The little girl gave a nod as well before moving behind me, but it didn’t seem like she was going to where the royal guards were. It was almost as if she was afraid of going near the royal guards.
The royal guards couldn’t help narrowing their eyes to look at the little girl when they saw this, almost as if they were suspicious of her.
When I saw this out of the corner of my eyes, I couldn’t help giving an internal sigh.
But for now, I didn’t do anything as I went forward to see if I could find anything.

It almost seemed like this little girl was lying about what she saw.
