Once he was all set, the miracle healer suddenly said, “You should go and find a place to stay for the night before it gets too dark.”
We had been too focused on what we had been doing that we didn’t notice that it was getting darker.
The sun was already getting close to completely setting.

He picked up a bell after saying this and rang it.
When he rang it, there was a hunchback that suddenly came out from a back room and moved towards us.

Then as his voice trailed off, he turned back to look at the old man before saying, “Which room did you say that they wanted?”
“It should be just the normal room, what else could it be?” The old man said in a casual voice.
“I think you mean your best room.” I said in response.
The old man narrowed his eyes to look at me, but I just looked right back at him without any hesitation.
After a long silence, the old man finally said, “Fine, the best room.”
He acted like I hadn’t just paid for the best room, but I acted like I didn’t care.
But it was a fact that the magic stone that I tossed at him was a high grade one that was more than enough to pay for the best room here.
The hunchback just gave a nod before waving at us to follow him.
After we moved away from the counter and were alone in the corridor, he said, “Sorry about him.”
I gave a nod since this was what I had already been expecting since I had been in this place in the game. That was how I knew the prices and what the old man would do.
The hunchback led us to the top of this building before bringing us to what seemed to be a suite.
This was a room that had several bedrooms, a place that seemed like it specifically catered to the rich.
After showing us to our rooms, I tossed another magic stone to the hunchback.
“Thank you.” He said before quickly pocketing it.
He had no qualms against taking this tip since it wasn’t as if this money was that easy to earn in the first place.
But the other reason that I tipped this hunchback was that there was something special about him. He had an identity that no one, including himself knew about.
When the hunchback left, Dorothy asked, “What is so special about nighttime in this place?”
I opened the curtain on the window and pointed for her to take a look.
But there was nothing out there for Dorothy to see that made her even more confused.
“Isn’t it strange that there’s nothing at all?” I saId in a cryptic manner.
She seemed even more confused when she heard this at first, but then she slowly started to understand what I meant by this.
There was no way that this forest should have been this quiet…
“Is something out there?” She slowly asked.
With a nod, I said, “That’s right, there’s something out there that keeps people away from this village. However, this thing also preys on the people in the village if they stay out during the night.”
