We went back up the same set of stairs and returned to the same room as before.

The spider jumped back onto the pedestal before reaching a leg out to touch the bracelet that was there.

When it did this, there seemed to be some kind of change that came over the bracelet.

This wasn’t something that I noticed before, but it was hard to miss it when it happened right in front of me like this.

“What was that?” I asked Insectum, but it seemed to have caught it off guard.

Insectum didn’t seem to want to answer at first, but it eventually turned around to look at me. Even though I couldn’t really read the expression of a spider, it wasn’t hard to tell how awkward it felt judging by its body language.

Since that was the case, I didn’t say anything as I waited for a response from Insectum.

With me putting pressure on it like this, eventually Insectum said, “It’s an alarm…”

“But you didn’t say anything about an alarm before.” The slightly dark tone that was in my voice made it very clear what I was asking Insectum.

Even though the other side was a god, it really didn’t feel like they were a god at this moment with the way that they were acting. It really seemed like they were trying to avoid the question as much as possible.

I couldn’t help giving a sigh in the end before saying, “Fine, it doesn’t matter now.”

When I said this, I could see the visible relief that went through the spider’s body.

This god really was just like its messenger…

It might have called Queenie lazy, but it seemed that this god was just as lazy. Or at the very least, it seemed like there were quite a few things that Insectum just couldn’t be bothered with doing…

Once that was over, Insectum seemed to regain their prestige as it said, “Alright, go ahead and take it. I’ve already made it so that it’ll bind to you as soon as you touch it.”

I might have trusted any other god, but when it came to Insectum…

It really felt like there was something that they were forgetting or that there was something that they might have been too lazy to do.

But in the end, I still reached out to touch the bracelet.

The moment that I did, I could feel the connection that Insectum mentioned. However, this connection was actually much deeper than I had expected from this bracelet.

After all, I had thought that it was only a bracelet that I was binding to.

However, this thing really was the control for this entire Death Valley.

The moment that I made contact with the bracelet, there was this large amount of information that suddenly entered my brain.

It wasn’t too much that it had completely overloaded my mind, but it was certainly quite a bit of input that was added to my brain. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was tougher than normal people, it might have been a problem.

Though thinking about it, it wasn’t as if normal people would have had the chance to make this connection in the first place.

Only those that had a connection to this place would have been able to come here and link themselves to this relic.

Once I was fully linked, I didn’t say anything as I focused on processing everything that was flooding into my brain. I was doing all that I could to sort through all of this extra input that came to me through this bracelet.

After a while, I was able to completely take control.

With this bracelet, I found that I had far more control that I initially thought I would have.

With a single thought, I was able to see everything that was happening in the Death Valley.

Or at least everything that was within the limit that the relic set.

I wasn’t able to see anything past a certain point, but it was still quite far.

I was surprised by how far this Death Valley stretched and how many people were actually in Death Valley.

Even though it was a place that was known as Death Valley, there really were a lot of people that entered this place. It seemed like even though it was related to death, these people weren’t afraid as long as there was money to be made.

That just went to show how much they cared about earning money that they didn’t think twice about risking their lives.

These people would have to be kicked out if I wanted to take this Death Valley away.

Though it really wasn’t that hard to do that since I could tell that it would only take a single thought for me to throw out all of these people.

As long as they were in the space that was controlled by the bracelet, I would be able to do whatever I wanted with them. This bracelet basically gave me absolute control over the space that it created.

It was almost as if I was a god with how much I could control this space.

If it was anyone else, they might have let this kind of power go to their head and they would have lost themselves in it.

But I was different since I knew that this was just a small piece of power.

I had already experienced what kind of power gods had, so I knew that this was nothing compared to it.

Even if one could feel like a god as long as they used this relic to control this space, it wasn’t as if they were a real god.

A real god was incomparable to this.

“How do you feel?” Insectum asked all of a sudden.

“It’s alright. This thing is quite interesting.” I calmly replied.

“As expected of the one that was chosen by them, you really are something else.” Insectum said with a voice filled with respect.
