Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1989: Toss it to them

Chapter 1989: Toss it to them
“Your majesty, everything is packed up and we’re ready to head off.”
I gave a simple nod before saying, “Let’s go then.”
Klein gave a nod as well before going to direct the royal guards.
The only reason that we had camped out here during this time was all because of the matters with the racial alliance.
Because they kept holding meetings to discuss what happened with Death Valley, I hadn’t been able to move freely at all. I had no choice but to stay in this place and answer their calls all day.
As for why we didn’t go into the town, it was simply because of how much chaos there was there.
With the disappearance of Death Valley, it was only natural that this happened.
All of the mercenaries that had depended on the resources from Death Valley were now technically out of a job. Without Death Valley to support them, all of them had to find new ways of earning money.
This kind of thing definitely wasn’t easy.
Or at least there was nothing that they could do that was as easy as gathering resources from Death Valley.
Sure there was the chance of death that came from going into Death Valley, but that was just a risk that they had to face when it came to their job. As mercenaries, the only thing that they knew how to do was put their lives in danger for money.
It was easy for them since they had already pioneered those routes into Death Valley and had already set up everything to pipe out resources from Death Valley. The only thing that they had to do was clear out the monsters from time to time to ensure those routes were safe.
So without these…they would have to go back to risking their lives again.
Over time, they would be able to find things to do. However, this kind of fix was not something that would happen in a day or two.
This was the kind of thing that would take some time before they would be able to settle down.
One suggestion that I had made to the racial alliance was to hire these mercenaries to search for the forces of Destruction. Since they had nothing to do, it was best to channel their energy into something productive instead of letting them fall down the wrong path.
Though there was a small part of it that was because I felt guilty about taking away their livelihoods.
Still, the racial alliance had more than enough funds for this, so I would just toss this matter to them. They would be able to make sure that these mercenaries had a place to go.
As we were heading off, there was a group that split off from the main group and headed in a different direction. They were heading back in the direction of the Kite Kingdom.
Though they weren’t heading back with a report for my wives.
If it was just that, then they wouldn’t have left my side.
The only reason that they were heading back was because there was something that I wanted them to deliver to Max and the rest of the researchers.
From the experiments that I did, I found that only something as powerful as the high grade magic stone would be able to store the divine energy. Anything that was weaker than that would explode if divine energy was injected into them.
The medium grade magic stones really gave off powerful explosions that I thought about how they could be used as bombs.
But the issue was that the high grade magic stones were rare and expensive, so it wasn’t as if we could use them to store divine energy.
Unless we were able to find a large supply of them, it was impossible to use that.
So instead of searching for the perfect thing to fill with divine energy on my own…
“Why would I do something like this when there’s a bunch of researchers that I can rely on? It’s better to let them see if they can find anything that can store this divine energy.”
Max was honestly much better than me when it came to research on this topic.
He had been able to develop that divine energy net that had suppressed the corruption energy inside of Dorothy.
With that kind of intelligence, he should be able to find something or even create something that would be able to store the divine energy.
“Or maybe he already did since he was able to create that divine energy net…”
This was something that I realized after my own experiments.
In short, there was no reason for me to run myself ragged trying to find a solution when there were people better suited for this.
So in the end, I tossed this matter to them to solve.
What the royal guards heading back were bringing with them were a bunch of bugs that Queenie summoned. All of them were filled with divine energy from Queenie, so they would last a while.
This was the divine energy that I was supplying them for their experiments.
I hoped that they would be able to solve the problem of not being able to transport the divine energy.
Once they solved that problem, then perhaps we would be able to create even more things.
After all, Queenie had a close to infinite supply of divine energy all because of the property of Insectum’s divine energy. Even if it wasn’t that strong, it was still divine energy.
This divine energy would still be useful in suppressing the corruption energy that the forces of Destruction used.
If this divine energy was used in different weapons and such, then we would even be able to arm even the regular soldiers with divine energy. It would make our entire army much stronger than before, or at least when it came to dealing with the forces of Destruction.
So this was definitely something that was worth looking into.
