Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1997: Scattered essence (1)

Chapter 1997: Scattered essence (1)
I followed King Lune deep into the depths of this castle.
When we left, he had dismissed all of his guards.
Seeing this, I also dismissed Klein and the others that had been following me.
Though they looked like they didn’t want to do this, they really didn’t have a choice in this matter since they were the guests.
After following King Lune for a bit, we arrived in what seemed to be the deepest part of the castle.
Though it didn’t seem like this place was as cold and damp as it should have been considering that it was the deepest part of the castle. It even felt like there was this warm sensation that filled the air that made it very welcoming.
This definitely didn’t seem like a trap on the surface, but it wasn’t as if I was going to let my guard down at just that.
Once we arrived at the end of the corridor, there were a pair of large doors waiting there for us.
These doors seemed like they were quite special, but it wasn’t just the way that they were designed that made them special.
If one looked closely at these doors, they would see that there was this special luster to them. It was clear that these doors were made of some kind of special material with the way that they reflected light.
When I looked at it closely, I felt that these doors weren’t made from any material that I was familiar with.
Even though I had seen all kinds of material because of the business that Haley brought in, I just couldn’t see through what this door was made of. It was almost as if this material was some kind of material that didn’t belong to this world.
When we arrived in front of these doors, King Lune suddenly stopped moving and turned back to look at me.
I raised a brow to look at him as I wondered what he was doing, but I was even more caught off guard by what he said.
“This is as far as I go. Please go in, the ancestor is waiting for you.”
“Huh?”
This place belonged to them and now he was saying that this was as far as he went. It was as if he wasn’t being welcomed in by whatever was waiting for me behind these doors.
For a moment, there was a part of me that wondered if this was a trap again.
But in the end, I decided to play along to see what this was.
If they went this far for just a trap, it didn’t matter at this point. After all, I was determined to see this matter through to the end and see where they were leading me.
Since he said that wouldn’t come with me, I didn’t hesitate to push the door in front of me open. The door didn’t pose any resistance at all, it even felt like it was waiting for me to push it with how easily it opened.
It seemed like whatever was inside really had been waiting for me.
Whether this was a good thing or a bad thing still had to be seen.
After the door opened, I stepped right in and saw that there wasn’t anything special about this place. Though the one thing that was strange was that this place was well lit even though there wasn’t anything that was producing light.
Looking up, it even felt like the light was just naturally coming down from the ceiling.
It really was hard to tell just where this light was coming from.
After a few steps into the room, the door suddenly slammed shut behind me. I could even feel the wind that came from the door as it went right past me, showing how close it had been to me.
It was as if whatever had closed the door had been waiting for me to just be past the door to close it.
I didn’t let myself be fazed by this as I looked in front of me.
There really wasn’t much in this room other than what seemed to be a stand, but the stand itself wasn’t what caught my eye. It was the thing that was resting on the stand that immediately caught my attention.
All of this was because of the faint traces of divine energy that was coming from it.
There was no doubt that this sword was the relic that had been passed down through this Lune Royal Family.
The fact that there was this faint divine energy that was around it was more than enough to show that it had once belonged to some kind of divine being before. It was just that this divine energy was much weaker than any relic that I had seen before.
It was as if this divine energy would disappear at any moment.
This really didn’t seem like the kind of a thing that a god would leave behind.
It was almost as if this was the legacy of some kind of deceased god.
“Can gods even die?” I couldn’t stop this thought from appearing in my mind when I saw this.
“You’re finally here.” This voice suddenly rang out which snapped me out of my thoughts.
I didn’t look around for the source of the voice since I knew that there was only one thing that this voice could come from.
I looked right at the sword that was on the stand in front of me, waiting for something to happen.
After this voice rang out, there was a reaction that came from the sword. There was this glow that appeared around this sword that seemed to grow in intensity, but it didn’t grow that long.
It seemed to reach a point where it was just visible before coming off the sword to form something.
With this small amount of energy, it wasn’t as if there was something big that could have been formed.
The energy gathered until it formed a small ball.
