Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2002: It doesn’t matter

Chapter 2002: It doesn’t matter
“What do they think they’re doing? Have they gone crazy?”
A smile crept onto my face when I heard Klein say this.
After all, it wasn’t hard to tell what he was referring to when he said this.
There was only one thing that he could be referring to.
After my meeting with King Lune, there were more guards that had been suddenly deployed to the manor that we were staying in.
The excuse that they gave was that there were some problems that they encountered recently, so they were here to make sure that we were safe. Though the way that they surrounded the manor made it clear that this wasn’t all that they were here for.
With the way that they surrounded it, it was as if they were more focused on keeping what was inside the manor from leaving.
It was as if they didn’t want to leave a single crack for the ones inside to do anything.
But to do that to a guest and someone like me…if the other members of the racial alliance were to see this…
It wasn’t hard to guess what would have happened to the Solar Kingdom’s standings in the racial alliance.
That was why I said, “It doesn’t matter, just leave them be. It’s not as if we’re in a rush, so we’ll just wait them out.”
Klein and the other royal guards looked at me with a strange look when I said this, but I just calmly had my breakfast while waiting for them to come back to their senses.
I wasn’t surprised that they would look at me like this since I had been rushing around the entire time.
Only there was no longer a need for that since I had already found all of the god’s messengers that I had been told about. Even if I did want to move, it wasn’t as if there was a place for me to go now.
It would be a waste of time just trying to search out in the open for another god’s messenger.
Instead of doing that, it was better to ask the ones that I had already contracted if they knew anything. At the same time, this was a good chance to settle down and develop the powers that I had obtained by making those contracts with the god’s messengers.
Which was why there really wasn’t a rush to move around right now.
Though for Klein and the others that had been following me the entire time, it was a bit of a whiplash for them since this was different from how things have been up until now.
It was as if they had suddenly come to a stop after grinding for so long.
Seeing the way that they reacted made me feel a bit nostalgic since it was something that I had encountered in my past life, but there was nothing that I could do for them.
After all, this was the kind of thing that one just had to accept and move on from.
After a moment of silence, Klein finally asked, “Then how long do you plan on giving them?”
“We’ll watch and see. It’s not as if we have an idea of how long they’ll be doing this.”
Klein didn’t seem to like this answer, but there was nothing that he could say since he knew that I was right.
Seeing this look on his face, I revealed a faint smile before saying, “It’s not as if they’ll be able to keep this up forever. After some time passes, there’s no doubt that they will receive pressure from other places. There’s still the status that I hold that they have to worry about.”
A faint smile appeared on Klein’s face as well when he heard this since he knew exactly what I meant by this.
There really was no need for us to do anything.
In fact, it was better for us to stay in and not leave at all.
There were nobles that came to see us and it wasn’t the same nobles as before.
These were nobles that were clearly connected to the royal family and had chased out all the other nobles.
As for the reason that they were visiting, it was naturally so they could gather information about me.
Not just that, they asked all kinds of different questions that seemed unrelated on the surface. But those with sharp eyes were able to see exactly what they were planning.
So that was why I just sent them all away with the excuse that I was under the weather.
It was clear that they didn’t want to give up, but there really wasn’t anything that they could do when I didn’t want to see them.
At the same time, it was quite easy for us to take care of anyone that snuck around.
Klein and the others were advanced royal guards after all, so it was easy for them to deal with anyone sneaking around if they wanted to.
The fact that they even sent this meant that they were quite desperate to achieve their goal.
A week passed just like this before representatives from the racial alliance came to visit the Solar Kingdom. It seemed that the Solar Kingdom just weren’t able to keep this information hidden.
The racial alliance was the gathering of all the different countries on the continent, so the power that was gathered there was far more than what the Solar Kingdom had.
Even the four empires of the human race were in the racial alliance.
Just a single empire was enough to suppress this Solar Kingdom, not to mention that there were other empires from other races as well.
So in the end, the Lune Royal Family had no choice but to visit me with them and they sent away all of the guards that had been around the manor.
To the very end, I greeted him with a smile and told him nothing that he wanted to hear.
