Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2010: Emerging from its shell

Chapter 2010: Emerging from its shell
The orcs that had appeared were working together in a way that was surprising for orcs.
They actually used each other to lift themselves off the ground.
Some of the orcs remained there in place and used their hands to launch the other orcs up, which was how they were able to reach me and the egg who were standing on Joan’s head.
After all, Joan wasn’t short at all.
By the time that I reacted to this, it was as if they were about to grab the egg.
Even if I wanted to stop them, it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could do to actually stop them from reaching the egg.
So I could only watch as the orcs flew right at the egg.
However, none of the orcs were able to reach the egg in the end as it suddenly released the same energy as before.
Though it didn’t seem like the orcs were going to lay their hands on the egg, I wasn’t happy seeing the way that the egg had stopped the orcs.
After all, this was dangerous in its own way.
Though the orcs were caught and stopped in midair, it really didn’t seem like they minded it that much. There was even what seemed to be a look of joy that was on their faces as they were lifted up in the air by the energy that the egg released.
I certainly wasn’t happy to see this, but it was technically the better of the two options.
If the orcs were to reach the egg, there was no telling what would have happened.
At least they were still manageable while they were being strengthened by the energy.
The changes that happened with their bodies were even visible as I saw that parts of them started to grow out. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before they completely changed into a different race.
Since that was happening, I had to stop them.
Though I didn’t get the chance to do anything in the end as a sound suddenly rang out.
“Crack.”
I turned to look at the egg to find that this sound came from it.
This wasn’t just any normal sound, it was the sound of the egg’s shell cracking.
It was only a single crack at first, but it didn’t take long for more cracks to form on the surface of the shell. It looked like it was only a matter of time before that entire shell broke apart.
I couldn’t help feeling worried since it seemed like the egg, or rather the thing that was inside of the egg was in danger. After all, I didn’t know how long it would have taken for this thing to come out of the egg, but it was clearly coming out premature with the way that things were happening.
However, I didn’t know what I could do about this…
With no other choice, I reached out towards the egg with both hands as if I was about to grab it. However, I wasn’t just planning on grabbing the egg, I was planning on squeezing it to force it back together.
This certainly wasn’t the best plan, but this was more than enough to show that I had no idea what I was supposed to do.
But I didn’t get to touch the egg in the end as there was something that reached out of the cracks. Looking closely at it, it seemed to be some kind of hoof that had come out of the egg.
Did that mean that whatever was inside of this thing was some kind of horse?
While I was caught off guard by the appearance of this hoof, there was more of it that came out of the crack in the egg.
As more of it was revealed, I could tell that it certainly wasn’t a horse. After all, there were scales that were on the limb above the hoof.
This was something that a horse would never have, but it did remind me of something from my past life.
I was certain that this was a creature that shouldn’t have been in this world, or at least as far as my memories of the game told me.
It was just that there was an example appearing in front of me right now.
After more and more cracks formed on the egg, the hoof pushed its way out of the egg and it completely shattered to pieces. Once the egg shattered to pieces, the true form of the thing inside of the egg was revealed and it was what I thought it was.
“What is a qilin doing here?” I asked in a dazed and confused voice.
This qilin that just appeared from the egg suddenly opened its eyes and looked around as if it was looking for something specific.
It was only after its eyes landed on me that the qilin stopped looking around. After it looked at me for a bit, it started walking over to my side.
Even though this qilin had just hatched, it was already able to walk on its own like this. It seemed like the development of this qilin was already far greater than what one would expect.
It was as if the qilin had already developed quite a bit even while it was still in egg form.
After walking over, it looked up at me as if it was waiting for something from me. However, I had no idea what this qilin wanted from me.
This awkward silence persisted for a bit before it was ruined by the grunts behind us.
One of the orcs had developed to the point where it broke free of the strange energy that was holding it in place.
Once it fell down, it just completely ignored me as its eyes were on the qilin.
The look in its eyes seemed like it was willing to do anything as long as it was able to take the qilin for itself.
