Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2018: Turning to the god’s messengers

Chapter 2018: Turning to the god’s messengers
When the matter of the monsters was settled, there was nothing holding us back from returning to the Kite Kingdom.
At the same time, there was no reason for us to go slowly anymore so Klein and the royal guards immediately started pushing for us to return quickly.
There was a wry smile that appeared on my face when I heard this, but there was nothing that I could say to refute this.
So in the end, we had no choice but to fly fast and I had to face the music.
Or I thought that was what would have happened, but there was none of this that came.
In the end, I was completely ignored.
Was this them giving me the cold shoulder or was it that they were just simply too busy to deal with me?
Either way, it seemed that I had been given a stay of execution during this time.
That was why I brought all of the god’s messengers that I had contracted together.
For now, there was something that I wanted to ask them.
“Have any of you met this qilin before or any qilin like this one?”
“Qilin? Is that what it’s called?” That was the response of the god’s messengers.
I wasn’t surprised to hear this since I knew that qilins didn’t originally exist in the game world that this world was based on. Still, I didn’t say anything as I narrowed my eyes to look at them.
I wanted to pressure them to see if any of them would crack under the pressure.
However, all that I saw was actual confusion from these god’s messengers.
“There’s something familiar about this qilin, but I’ve certainly never met this creature before.”
“It feels like they are similar to us, but there’s a strange feeling coming from them as well.”
“I rarely meet others since I don’t go out, so there’s no point in asking me.”
The last one to speak was naturally the hikkineet Queenie.
However, this did prove that none of them knew anything about this qilin.
In fact, it seemed like the qilin was even a bit afraid of these god’s messengers.
At first, the qilin wanted to learn more about them as if it felt something familiar coming from them. But then it looked like they were bullying it with their pressure by the time that it was all over.
The qilin was still young, so it was understandable that it would feel overwhelmed against these older god’s messengers.
But still, it shouldn’t be at the level where it would be afraid of them.
It really didn’t make sense how the qilin was acting.
In the end, I dropped this topic since it didn’t seem like the god’s messengers knew anything about the qilin. Instead, I turned to another topic which was also the reason why I had gathered these god’s messengers in the first place.
“Do any of you have a way of suppressing Dorothy’s power?”
This question was more directed towards the kraken and Queenie who had joined afterwards.
Both Lupus and Zeldir had already told me that they didn’t know anything before I even left, so it was those two that I had to turn to.
“I don’t think that I can do anything right now.” That was the kraken’s response since it wasn’t actually here with me.
The kraken had formed a contract with me, but it was still underwater to handle matters at the Merman Empire. They were still watching over the transition that was happening in the Merman Empire after all.
As for Queenie, I just didn’t expect anything.
I had let her out to take a look at Dorothy, but it didn’t seem like she had been able to find anything that would be able to help her.
I had thought that Queenie would be the solution with her infinite divine energy, but it turned out that it wasn’t enough.
So in the end, I had to see if Max would be able to develop something with Queenie’s divine energy that would be able to keep Dorothy safe for now.
It wasn’t the best solution, but it was the only solution that we had right now.
“Can I take a look at her?” The qilin asked all of a sudden.
I hadn’t taken the qilin to see Dorothy since I didn’t really know what the qilin would do and I was afraid of some kind of bad reaction between the two of them. The powers that they possessed were in direct conflict with each other after all.
But seeing that there was no other choice…
“Alright, let’s go then.” I said with a reluctant nod.
The qilin seemed confident that it would be able to do something, but I really didn’t have any hope at all for a solution.
However, I was soon surprised by what happened.
“Dad, why are you back already?” Dorothy asked in a surprised voice since I had just left her room not that long ago.
After hesitating for a bit, I said, “I brought a new friend for you.”
I decided not to raise her hopes anymore, so I presented the qilin as a new friend.
The qilin had just hatched and even with its quickly developing mental age, it should be around the same age as Dorothy.
So perhaps this would be a good way to keep both of them safe.
The qilin went through the barrier that was erected and looked at Dorothy without saying anything.
Dorothy also looked at the qilin silently since she had never seen this creature before.
After the two of them stared at each other like this for a bit, the qilin suddenly raised one of its hooves and pointed at Dorothy.
Dorothy was confused why the qilin was pointing at her like this, but she also raised her hand and pressed it up against the qilin’s hoof.
The moment that the two of them made contact with each other, there was this bright flash of light.
